Can I convert JIRA 'Is Parent of' links to links recognized by Portfolio?

I have about 100 issues in my JIRA instance which were originally created as a Theme; the Epics related to those Themes were then manually linked to them using the Relation link (Is Parent of / Is Child of).

We are in process of implementing Portfolio.  I know I can easily convert these Themes to a custom Portfolio issue type (the level above Epics in our scenario is called 'Feature') but I can't figure out if it's possible to convert these defined 'Is Parent of' links to be recognized by Portfolio as the

  -> Epic

hierarchy we are using there.  I'd rather not have to manually re-establish all the hierarchy links if I don't have to. :)

Thanks in advance for any help!!!!
