How to Deactivate a User in Atlassian OnDemand

Daniel Geske August 10, 2012

The instructions to deactivate a user say the checkbox active should be unchecked. The Edit Profile page on our OnDemand instance does not show such checkbox.

How can I deactivate users without deleting any other details from my instance to free up seats?

Hi Daniel,

This function is only within JIRA standalone or EAR/WAR and has not been implemented into OnDemand.

For OnDemand, you'll want to disable a users application access, see here for more info how on to do manage these options:

Why not implemented in OnDemand?

This is not good. The API always says they're "Active" in this case, because they're not "inactive." Is there some way to find out which users don't have any fantastic Atlassian services active? That would be slightly more awesome.

Rephrase the title to include a proper sentence, one that specifies OnDemand.
