FishEye w/ JIRA user database: Problem communicating with Crowd

jmooo May 24, 2012

Re-setting up my authentication link from FishEye to JIRA to share the user database gives me the following error:

Error synchronising users: Problem communicating with Crowd

I've followed the guide at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/FISHEYE/JIRA+Integration+in+FishEye

But get the error every time. The password is a 12 digit string, pasted between both instances but they never link up. In FishEye for the JIRA/Crowd URL I've tried localhost/hostname/ipaddress but no luck, it never links up with JIRA. Setup pics from JIRA and FishEye below:

Using FishEye 2.7.13, JIRA 5.0.5

Hi xref,

Can you please check your FishEye installation. There appears to be something wrong.

You have mentioned that you are running FishEye 2.7.13, however the screenshot you have is definitely not from 2.7.13. We changed the screens and workflow surrounding configuring FE with Crowd/FishEye substantially in 2.7.13.

Please ensure you upgrade cleanly to 2.7.13, then try again.

Cheers,

Nick
