Import from Caliber Requirements Management tool

Sandeep Tucknat April 9, 2012

We are interested in brining over our requirements to JIRA. Our requirements are relatively simple and have a single level of parent-child relationship. If you have had similar requests before, we'd really aprpeciate some guidance in getting these migrated over to JIRA. We are fairly new to this and if there's a different approach (JIRA + confluence), we'd appreciate any suggestions.

Using JIRA + Confluence for managing requirements is an excellent idea. However, if you have the need to manage Traceability OR perform analysis on the requirements, you can consider tools like RMsis (http://products.optimizory.com/rmsis). It can elegently fill the space between JIRA and Confluence.

In case you wish to opt for hosted services

  • RMsis cannot work with JIRA OnDemand, till the Remote App Plugin becomes available. This should be available in near future.
  • There are Hosting Service Providers like PIX Software (<cite></cite><cite>www.pixsoftware.de</cite>), who offer end to end service and would be willing to include RMsis, as part of the solution.

A more exhaustive list can be found here (http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DISC/List+Of+Confluence+and+JIRA+Hosting+Providers).
