Is it possible to upgrade to a jira version which was within our expired maintenance period?

We are currently using jira v4.0#466 an our maintenance period ended on 08/Oct/10. Is it still possible to upgrade to Version 4.1.2 which sould be within our maintenance period without renewing the expired maintenance period?

It sure is; you're able to use any version that was released while your maintenance was active. You can download 4.1.2 from here: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/download-archives

Having said this, if your maintenance is not current you won't be able to benefit from any bug fixes released in later versions or get help from Atlassian Support.
