Any future plans to allow Conf Page Titles to contain " / + ( or [ ' characters?

Todd McKnight October 12, 2011

We're new users to Confluence and it turns out we use a few keyboard characters *tons* more then we relized. Coming from diff tool set and was not an issue with that software.

Any ideas? Could not find it as a Ticket request so maybe it's just our habits?

Hi Jon - here's an improvement request that you might want to vote for – Remove restrictions on characters in page and blog titles

All restrictions on characters in page titles have been removed, as of Confluence 4.1, which has just been released.

Jon,

Page names have to be legal for a URL. That could not be easily changed.

There has to be a way - even with the basic charaters. Wordpress and Joomla both support it via some subsitutes and such.
