Confluence OnDemand as customer facing but authenticated knowledgebase

Sundeep Amrute April 10, 2013

Are looking at confluence ondemand to build both our internal and customer-facing knowledgebases. However we want to require customers to log in to access the knowledgebase.

Is this something that can be done in confluence without using up OnDemand licenses? The customer accounts would be read-only consumers. I know we can allow anonymous access but a hard requirement is that access by customers is controlled.

Or is Confluence OnDemand not a good fit for this kind of application?

Someone that can login and has read access counts as a user. Anonymous is the only way around it.

That's too bad. It means we would need something like zen desk for client facing docs when would rather have all articles in confluence
