- Implement strong password policies. Encourage users to create unique, complex passwords and consider enforcing password policies.
- Use native security features. Take advantage of built-in security features like IP whitelisting, session duration limits, and data encryption options provided by Atlassian Cloud.
- Regularly backup your data. Plan backups so that you can quickly restore critical information in case of accidental deletion or system failure.
- Monitor usage and performance. Keep an eye on system performance metrics and usage patterns to identify any potential issues early on before they impact productivity.
- Enable two-factor authentication. Protect your accounts by enabling two-step authentication for all users. This adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification, such as a code from a mobile app or SMS message.
- Create a change plan. As users begin working with the Atlassian Cloud products, they may ask for new products, apps, and configuration changes. Be sure to have a plan to ensure your product stack is healthy and that changes do not have a negative impact on cost, performance, and usage.
- Create a maintenance plan. Each product will have unique requirements for maintaining its contents. A plan helps ensure that obsolete records, projects, and pages are archived to reduce clutter and keep products organized.
