Hi Robert, The Watch button in Confluence relates specifically to the space you are currently viewing. To watch topics and questions you need to be in Confluence Questions itself as questions live outside of spaces. Hope this helps clarify.

The way to embed HTML code in a page is with the HTML macro. There is information on this page about how to do it https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/HTML+Macro. Note that the HTML macros plugin is disabled by default, so your Confluence administrator will need to enable it before you can use this macro. More…

Hi Joerg, Confluence 4.2 is before my time, but sounds like your {forum} macros are provided by a third party plugin to Confluence. The Marketplace provides information about what Confluence versions are supported for each plugin, and by going to Confluence Admin > Plugins you might be able to identify the plugin that…

Recommended upgrade paths for each version are provided on this page Upgrading+Confluence. We also reading the upgrade notes for each version between (e.g. read 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4 upgrade notes) so you will be aware of major changes or upgrade tasks that might affect your upgrade.

Thanks for your feedback Jan-Peter. The best place to provide feedback on this issue is https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-39829.
-
Absolutely, it's been available for quite a while now. You can read a bit about it in our documentation here https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/QUESTIONS/Administer+Questions

Hi Steve, the statistics feature is still in development and will be available later this year.

Hi Thorsten, We don't plan to add support for MySQL 5.7 in Confluence 6.0, but it is on our radar and we hope to add support in a future release.

Hi Jeremy, Sorry for the extremely late reply, I hadn't come across this question previously. The Space Jump macro will be removed along with the documentation theme in Confluence 6.0. You can find out more in our FAQ Documentation theme migration FAQ (this page was specifically written for Cloud customers, but many of the…

Hi Rebecca, All the files that appear on a file list page are attached to the page itself. If you want to remove them go to ... > Attachments and you can then delete the files you no longer need. This page has more info about deleting attached files - https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Manage+Files If you don't…

I have raised a bug for this here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-41385 It would be fantastic if you could comment on the issue and provide an example of the type of link you're using (how you add the link - URL, Advanced tab etc). I was not able to replicate your issue in Confluence Cloud, so may be specific to…

Hi Reid, Confluence can successfully link to anchors that have spaces in the anchor name. I find the most effective way to link to an anchor is to use the Advanced tab in the Link dialog. There you can enter the following examples to link to an anchor anywhere in your site: #anchor titlePage Title#anchor titleSPACEKEY:Page…

I'm not sure this is going to work with the Widget connector, looking at the format of it. You might want to raise an issue in our public issue tracker jira.atlassian.com for it to be investigated by a developer

Please do send through a public link for us to try. Either drop it here, or raise an issue in our issue tracker

Hi Brandon, I'm one of the tech writers for the Confluence team, and I'm afraid the answer to your question is 'it depends'. In out of the box Confluence Server, or in Confluence Cloud it is not possible to drop an embed code straight onto a page. Confluence Server customers do have the option of enabling a HTML macro…
-
Hi Charlie, No there is no way to create a space and move pages into it in one go. As Stephan mentioned there are some third party add-ons that can help with this, otherwise creating a space, and manually moving your parent page into it is the way to go.
-
Hi Johan, I believe your templates would be included in a whole site export, if that is how you plan to populate your your new Cloud site, but if you're not moving all your content and users over to the Cloud site I'm afraid re-creating the templates is probably the only option. You can find out more about doing a site…

The source editor is an unsupported add-on, but I'm hoping that we'll see an update to make it compatible with Confluence 5.9 soon (can't promise though)
-
HI Jan-Peter, best to raise this one directly with support so they can help you troubleshoot the problem. Hopefully you're up and running with the new dashboard in no time.
-
Hi Alessandro, I'd suggest raising this one directly with support. They'll help you troubleshoot and check for things like customised global layouts etc that might be preventing the new dashboard from appearing for you.
