It just happens to be that way due to engineering time-constraints. This will be much improved in the next major release. Thanks!

Hello! Search on the log/history tab only searches file-names in the uncommitted changes.

Hello! This is a known issue. Please navigate to the config file location (C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree.exe_{RANDOM_GUID}\2.3.1.0\user.config) and find the following line: <setting name="AutomaticallyCleanUpDictionaryFiles" serializeAs="String"> <value>True</value> </setting> Make sure that value…

I'm having a hard time reproducing this issue. Does this issue happen on all repos? Additionally, is there anything that you think could be unique to this repo (is it a submodule, etc)? Just to be clear, the steps to reproduce are: * Start Sourcetree, open repo * Repo settings -> Edit remote repo * Host type: stash, Root…

Hello! Please try the following: * In the options screen, try disabling "refresh when files change" * Check your anti-virus and make sure it's not interfering * Try disabling LibGit2 under the Git settings Thanks!
-
Hello! How many tabs do you have open on startup?
-
Hello! Can you provide some details please: * OS Version * Sourcetree version Thanks!
-
In your file you have "http" but it should probably be "https"
-
Hello! Could you try running Sourcetree as an Admin? It looks like it's crashing when trying to start the SSH agent.
-
I'm not sure what you mean. Are you requesting that ST have a new feature that allows for merging conflicts in-app?
-
Hello! When applying a stash that causes merge conflicts, you'll need to resolve the conflicts yourself. The file list should look the same as when you have a normal merge conflict.
-
Hello everyone, could you try the following workaround: * Open IE, click on the gear * Select "Internet Options" * Select the "Security" tab * Select "Custom Level" for Internet * Find "Access data sources across domains" and select "Enable" (make note of what the setting currently is) * Try logging into Sourcetree again *…

Hello everyone, our identity team is still working on this issue. However, if you're having this problem, could you try changing your Internet Explorer Security Zone Settings? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17479/windows-internet-explorer-11-change-security-privacy-settings

"Show behind and ahead in tabs" only displays on tabs that you're not currently viewing (as that info is already exposed to you), and shows the current branch ahead/behind display. It should look like this when the tab is not selected: And when that tab is selected:

Could you try unchecking both "Refresh automatically when files change" and "Refresh when application is not in focus" and see if that has any impact? Thanks!
-
This would suggest something else is wrong. Could you record a video of the slowness? To easily record in Win10, you can use the game recorder (WIN+G). It will ask if Sourcetree is a game: select "yes this is a game". Once you record, go to "Videos -> Captures". Thank you!
-
Is the extended integration with stash, bitbucket, or github?
-
Could you try disabling the "Refresh automatically when files change". Additionally, could you try going to the git settings and check "disable libgit2" Additionally, could you provide the following details: * Number of repos open * A repo benchmark (Menu -> Repository -> Benchmark repo performance) of the slow repo Thanks!
-
Can you upload the procmon log? I can't reproduce this behavior on my machine. Thanks!
-
Hello! Which version of Sourcetree are you running, and on which OS? Thanks!
-
Hello! This is not currently supported by Sourcetree, but you can use the following command to get your desired result: git cat-file --filters "{COMMIT-SHA}:{FILE NAME}" You'll need to pipe that output to a file, and once you do that you'll be able to view it.
-
Ah, okay that's probably not good. You'll want to ask your IT team to help you solve this issue. Once it's sovled, Sourcetree should work as intended.

It looks like the WMI may have become corrupt. Can you follow the steps here and let me know if you get a similar result (follow up until the "WMI Control Properties") and post a screeshot? Thanks.
-
Hello! I'm having difficulty reproducing your issue. Just a note: if you're seeing the "Use an existing account" screen, then Sourcetree is already installed and running. The issue is that the WebView control isn't working -- possibly due to some Internet Explorer option being set, or something else. Could you check the…

Thanks, I've narrowed down the issue and created an internal ticket for the bug. A fix for it should be released in the next release. You should change that option back to "ERROR". Regarding the integration issues: can you try manually adding it? Go to the repo, hit the "settings" button in the toolbar, select the remote…

Can you do the following please: * Navigate to "C:\users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Sourcetree\app-2.1.10\" * Open "log4net.config" * Change the line "<threshold value="ERROR" />" to "<threshold value="DEBUG" />" * Try the benchmark again on 2.1.10 and let it fail * Upload the log file
-
Well, that's not good. Can you send me your log file (you'll have to upload it)? You can find it under: C:\users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree\sourcetree.log. Additionally, can you uncheck "use libgit2" and try the benchmark again on 2.1.10? Thanks!
-
Regarding 2.1.10 perf: can you try the following: * Uncheck "Refresh automatically when files change" in options, and uncheck "Refesh when application is not in focus" * In 2.1.2.5 run a repo benchmark: Repository->Benchmark Repo Performance and then do the same on 2.1.10. Then upload those files * Try disabling Libgit2…

I've taken a look at the log file and nothing seems suspicious. Are you able to access "http://id.atlassian.com/" in Internet Explorer?
