Hi, the chart assumes a linear progress. Say like you are havin 7 Points/Issues for a 7 day sprint, the "guidline" will reduce by 1 Story point/Issue per day. So the two metrics are number of issues/story points (depending on your configuration) and the duration of your sprints. Adjust either of the two and your chart will…

what happens when you view an issue with the mentioed status on the view issue screen) and you have a lookon the "agile" section (below "people" and "dates") of that issue? Is there still a link to the board? Another Idea would be to check if a reindex of the JIRA database is needed. In order to do this just log into the…

This is indeed good to know. Can you tell me from wich version of GH this is in effect?

Hi Kaja, many information that Greenhopper saves for you are stored in a cookie. As far as I know the spint marker is handled like this. The answeres for your questions therefore are: 1) Yes, not deleting cookies. This may affect browser settings, Usage of different browsers, computers7devices (i.g. mobile vs. desk). 2)…

Hi Michael,In fact the idea exists fur us. Yet this in such an early stage that I can not even say if this is coming this year or coming at all. Sorry to say that...

I'm a bit late, I know. Anyway I just wanted to inform you guys about the JIRA Plugin 'RemindMe' that does exactly what was asked for in the original question. Maybe you want to give this a try?
-
Hi Adamo, you might want to cunsult the JIRA 5.1 upgrade notes for this. It is strongly depending on your configuration whether this wil be a simple task or not. Cheers, David
-
Just in case anyone else runs into that issue: It is a bug in JSD 1.2.7, as confirmed by Atlassian support.

no one?

Users must be added to project roles manually. This is due to the fact, that the projectteam is likely to change for different project. Also you can add default members (users or groups) for project roles. What You are most likely missing is the mapping of users to project roles. to do this go to project administartion,…

Hi Thomas, In atlassian OnDemand you still have notification schemes available. The are located in the administration section under Issues -> Misc Schemes. Once you have defined such a scheme you will have to select this in your JIRA project. Otherwise no notification scheme is used for this project hence no mails beeing…

Hi Ian, you can turn this off by disabeling a module of a system Plugin. Go to: Administration > Plugins -> show system plugins -> issue operation plugin -> manage plugin modules -> View Issue Ops Bar Clone Link (might be slightly different, depending on your JIRA version...) Hope that helps? Cheers, David

Hi Uwe, for Confluence there is a plugin available, User Profile Plugin which would do exactly this. Unfortunately this is not yet available for JIRA which is what you are asking for. Therefor I do not think that this is easily possible. Sorry for that. Cheers, David
-
I'm afraid this might just not be possible. Reffering to the documentation this feature ist quite clearly listed as "not available in Atlassian OnDemand" (look for "Configuring an outgoing (SMTP) Mail server").

Hi Mike, one (plain simple) option would be to not associate the project (or all projects) with any notification scheme at all. That would do the trick with ease and you just need to (re-) add the notification scheem to the project later if you want to enable Email notifications. Hope that helps? Regards, David

actually not the answer I wanted to hear, but thanks anyway. I went the tough way this morning and reconfiguring all this on the production system.
-
Well, as stated above the workflow sharing plugin does not work for us due to several restrictions. And the result is not desireable IMHO. Thanks for pointing out though.
-
Sorry to say this, but in JIRA there is one (notification) scheme attached to one project. So basically yes, that's the way to do this. Unfortunately notificatins are based on events, rather than on conditions. SO you can say "email when issue is created" and only notify the assignee but not the whole group. Further…

Hi William, as allways with email notifications your main entry point is your notification scheme. You can define all actions that are used to send emails and also to whom they are sent. You should think about the following setup: * using groups for those people mentioned by you and naming the groups General Manager,…

are you speaking of the "classic planning board" or the "plan mode" of the regular boards?
-
Well, as Atlassian JIRA customer you will at least have the ability to obtain the source code.
-
Thanks Nic for the comment! While it kind of makes sense that large user base matters somehow I should have indeed pointed out that the number of concurrent users has quite of a big effect. Thanks for adding that!
-
Hi norlin, first of all, what you're asking of your JIRA might be a lot :) Anyway, hard numbers on when JIRA stops performing well can not be given, as this is allways a combination of the amount of data (and which dat) and your configuration (e.g. custom fields). Whalt I could tell you is that the number of Users does not…

Hi Claes, as your are skipping quite a few Greenhopper Versions may I ask for the Upgrade path you used? The ideal solution would have been to uninstall GH 5 (configuration should not be lost by dooing so), upgrade JIRA (with all tasks belonging to it), reinstall Greenhopper 6 (maybe even manually by "uploading" it to your…

jira.search.kickass enables the new issue navigator in JIRA 5.2: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/JIRA+5.2+EAP+1+%28m3%29+Release+Notes#JIRA5.2EAP1%28m3%29ReleaseNotes-issuenav

Whilst configuring JIRA a solution as proposed by you is not available. I also have not heard of a plugin to restrict the "assign" button if the workflow step hasn't changed. This does not mean such plugin will not exist though... Anyway a good start might be to instruct your colleagues with the basic prociples of JIRA and…

AFAIK the Export/Import only uses project specific items, such as issues, settings, components, versions etc. (Rapid) Boards in Greenhopper are all based on a filter und by this often contain more issues that just of one Project. Or even less issues. E.g. you cann create afilter and use for your (Rapid) Board that…

Hi Simon, of course, this is possible! There are three ways to do this: * You could go to "Extras" (in the cog-wheel menu) in the search results an adjust it for your current session. * You could go to your profile and edit the columns just for you, but all the time. * As administrator you thirdly go to Administration ->…

true. While you can still ad/remove watcher if you do not have the "browse users" permission (just typing the username, you will have to know it) you cannot search for users without this permission.

that's correct! I should've pointed that out in my original posting. Thanks for adding it!
