@Damon do you have any additional info on the list behind the "Create KB Article" Button? Facing the same question right now. Thanks!
-
no, the good thing is that your user (iff "deactivated" as stated above) dies not count into your user limit for your license. However, he/she is still wisible as user, but connot log into JIRA.
-
Hi Palka, you are most likely using an slightly outdated Veriosn of JIRA, the "deactivate user" was introduced only on JIRA 5.1. In order to achieve this in your JIRA Version, please follow the instructions detailed on this page of the official documentation. Hope that helps? Cheers, David

Hi Dex, actualy it should just work out. Especialy due to the fact the the modofications you may apply in OnDemand are quite basic to what is possibly with downloaded Products. Also, not knowing if you are speaking of JIRA, Confluence or both, you might want to start off by reading this articel:…

Hi Chris, if you enter the admisitration page in Atlassian OnDemand, you will find an option "User management". You can simple check/uncheck the the application you want the user to access (or not). If you uncheck all the history is still available and the user cannot login anymore. Is that what you're asking for? Cheers,…

Oh dear, how I would love to be able to do this!

You may want to not close the parent taks in until all subtasks are done. In plan mode you will only se parent taks and the subtasks are added automaticly to the same sprint as the parent. Cheers, David

Yes, upgrade is allways possible. To do this, you just need to apply the new licence in your JIRA (not ondemand). Regarding pricing for this, look no further than here: https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/jira#downloadlicenses-3

no ideas for this one?
-
So, the file is obiously located under following path: <jiradir>\atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes\templates\plugins\footer\footer.vm Anyway, is there a way to change this without editing that file?
-
sorry, this question does not seem to make sense in any way. You may want to to specify what you are asking for in more detail.
-
@Renjith The problem is that the user is just beeing removed from Sync. There is no way for me to avoid this (higher power, say administrators are in charge). If that would not be the case, your proposed solution would be indeed sufficent.
-
Yes, I know both ressources. The thing is, deactivating a user is not available when the user has just been excluded from the LDAP sync. So the process would be: * "remove" (exclude from sync) user * re-create user in internal directory * deactivate user (on pre-jira 5.1: remove user from all groups and project roles) Now…

Greenhopper gives you an option to provide a name for a sprint (say, e.g. "Sprint for CW 35"). This, however is just some sort of lable for the sprint, the mapping of issues an sprints is done by the field "SprintID" (or similar, not entirely sure). AFAIK this field can not be changed (might be of type "number field, not…

As far as I know, there is no real backlog in Kanban (at least in GreenHopper, for now). Hence creating a kanban board in Greenhopper gives you no option at all to organise a backlog of any sorts. However in Scrum mode there is a backlog, appearing in the "Plan"-view of the board. This siew is just not available in Kanban.…

not really an answer, but you might want to have a look at the discussion going on over here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/80057/how-to-add-stories-in-kanban-rapid-board?page=1#80062

As you may have seen in the linked documentation, some features are not available in OnDemand. Thus, the whole plugin section is different than in downlaoded product, meaning you are not able to install any plugins on your own. More details on the limitations in OnDemand are found here:…
-
hi, first of all, which JIRA version are you using and is this OnDemand or Download? This is quite important to know. Assuming you are using a downloaded, quite recent version of JIRA you will find this in administration section under "Plugins" in the top menu. More detailed documentation (for all versions, this is just…

Best thing is to not revome users at all! Chances are you are ending up in a total mess in the end. I had a discussion giong on here about this and basically the conclusion was to not remove users: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/95362/how-to-handle-removed-users Oh, and try to avoid messing with the database…

stupid question, please forgive if not appropriate. Yet: Has the JIRA been shut down?

to add to this, the following discussion brings us colser to a solution: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/93082/failed-to-login-trusted-application-jira-xxxx-due-to-bad-url-signature
-
This is probably not related to applinks at all... It's not resolved, yet most likely a problem of the network configuration...
-
Hi Kyle. Thanks for the info. We are still trying to sort this out but it looks like this is most likely an issue with the rather complex network setup. There is a firewall in between the two systems and a Reverse Proxy setup and all indications point to one of those systems as the cause for our problem...
-
Hi Kyle, unfortunately not yet. we found one issue (different administrator user names) yet the message keeps coming. We are now going through a bunch of lobfiles as there is a firewall and a reverse proxy in the game and my guess is that one of tjose systems is eating user tokens or something like that. Still, it's kind…

That's my guess as well. But there are actually two links configured. Also that link is "trusted".

Try to use the JIRA Toolkit plugin by atlassian, this may be exactly what you're looking for: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.jira.toolkit Hope that helps? Cheers, David
-
is that JIRA, Confluence or something else you are speaking of?
-
Hi jleung, This is only available in Scrum Boards due to the fact that Scrum is mainyl defined as recurring sprints of a defined (short, like 2 weeks) period, while Kanban in contrast to this does not know the idie of "Sprints". Kanban is more like a continuous bord showing all activities for the project. If you want to…
-
Hi, this is heavily depending on your configuration. Apart from having the nessecary right to move issues, all mandatory fields will be asked for during the move. If there are different fields for different issue types, you will have to move them in groups. If there are any other fields in those issues you want to change…

thanks a lot, I didn't came across this thought :)
