Is it a Jira Cloud instance? If so, you can retrieve all issues which are descendants of an Epic (or list of Epics) with JQL sentence like: parentEpic in (XXX-263) You may add more comma-separated epic issue keys.

I think you may potentially order the results on a properly configured client, and not on all clients at once. This would be kind-of a not very recommendable workaround that would work just for Chrome, but as it seems to be theoretically possible, I'll roughly describe the solution below: * Install User JavaScript and…

This one made me laugh out loud!

Have yoy tried typing a backlash character \ just before the underscore? ie: \_A The backlash is usually the escape character, meaning that the next especial character should be displayed "as is", instead of producing its associated effect.

High availability is usually achieved with Data Center: https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/high-availability-guide-for-jira-288657149.html

If you rename an issue type, the change will propagate to all existing issues of that type. Some filters explicitly mentioning that type would be broken, as well as gadgets fed by them. Anyway, broken filters could be fixed by typing the new issuetype name.

This seems to be an issue related to the new Jira issue view: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-16878

Hahaha, good one! That's the strategy I used to use with my mum, but it is dangerous. While you are on "I don't mind what you say" mode, maybe someone else is hearing and lead to wrong conclusions.

Edit: Can a comment be deleted?

Please, have a look at this similar question: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Page-Break-on-PDF-Export-at-the-Heading-Level/qaq-p/277280

Yeah, I remember it as if it standed for go issues. There are other shortcuts like this one. You can view the list of all available shortcuts by typing the shortcut '?'. Hope it helps!
-
As Gaston said, there's no native way to achieve that. If the reason why you are interested on that feature were being able to see the same comments than a user who cannot see your internal comments (ie, for taking a screenshot without showing your internal comments) then you may create a dummy user account just like one…

Yes, definitely. You would have Confluence available for both apps with no limitations or cons for having several apps connected.

Without the help of any addons, I'd save the following query as a filter: worklogAuthor in membersOf("administrators") AND worklogDate >= startOfDay() Substitute "administrators" with your team's group name. If the assignee of an issue were the only user who logged time on an issue, and no issues were assigned to more than…

Hi Jim, The best quick way for going quickly to the issue navigator's advanced search is through the shorcut key gi typed from wherever you are positioned in Jira. By typing gi in a rapid sequence, you'll go to your last executed query. Hope it helps.

I understand. Certainly, hardcoding should be avoided. I'd suggest opening a new feature request here. You may include a link to this question, as well as the URL to the issue here so that I can vote for it. I've looked for a similar feature request but have found nothing. If you are on Jira Server, there's also a…

My answer meant to be a workaround just slightly more elegant than hardcoding the entire JQL. mapping "-1" to "assignee = currentUser() AND resolution = Unresolved order by updated DESC" and "-2" to "reporter = currentUser() order by created DESC", etc Instead of mapping -1 to "assignee = currentUser() AND resolution =…

Note that 'filter=filterId' besides a URL parameter, it is also a correct JQL query. You may check that by typing 'filter = -1' in the search box of the Issue Navigator. That said, the following URL should work: https://(domain)/issues/?jql=filter=-1
-
Try these steps: * Execute this query: comment ~ passed * Save that query as a filter named 'Passed'. * Clear the issue navigator and execute this query: project='my project' AND status=Resolved AND filter not in (Passed) Hope it helps.

Good point, Payne. If this one worked for you, then this answer would be the best one.

Natively, you can just target some fields that support the CHANGED operator: Assignee, Fix Version, Priority, Reporter, Resolution, and Status fields only. In example, you may add something like this to you filter: status changed by currentUser() after startOfMonth(-1) before startOfMonth() A similar filter can be obtained…

Glad to see that my Bob & John examples have become obsolete on Cloud! 😃 I also love the new feature for setting Epics in the side panel, just like on Scrum boards. Good job, Atlassian!!

This screenshot is not the proof that you have all those permissions. Actually, for the permission helper to work, you have to select: * a specific user whose permissions you want to check, * a specific issue where the transition should be shown (just type its issue key), * a specific permission you want to check. After…

Press the 'g' key twice and start typing 'Permission Helper'.

Are there any active quick filters?
-
You may have somehow lost the Resolve Issues or Close Issues permission. That may happen with changes on: * permission schemes * project roles * group membership Are you a Jira Admin on that instance? If so, may you possibly check those permissions with the permission helper?

Have just stumbled upon this old answer and felt the necessity to correct it, as suggested. However, for consistency with the dates of previous comments, I'll post the correct answer within this comment instead of editing the original answer: You can get all issues that do not contain the word 'Apple' by following these…

Only a few fields support the CHANGED operator, as stated here: This operator can be used with the Assignee, Fix Version, Priority, Reporter, Resolution, and Status fields only. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/advanced-searching-operators-reference-939938745.html
-
That's only doable with the help of a plugin like, in example, ScriptRunner.

Forgot to say that the Jira Toolkit Plugin is a free Atlassian Labs addon.
