Thanks for the explanation Jeremy. While I completely understand your thinking behind this, I have to say that I strongly disagree with the execution and result of this conceptually reasonable strategy: Just a random sample across a few of my included/excluded answers, plus a few of fellow community members in my mail…

Strangely, I seem to be unable to post this as a comment to Jeremy's answer (it looks posted, but has vanished on browser refresh), so here it goes as an answer: ---- Thanks for the explanation Jeremy. While I completely understand your thinking behind this, I have to say that I strongly disagree with the execution and…

Thanks Leslie, glad to hear that this is going to be supported!

You may be affected by a Bitbucket Server bug that has just recently been resolved in release 4.11: * https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BSERV-8809 So if your configuration matches the issue description, an upgrade to Bitbucket Server >= 4.11 might/should solve the problem accordingly - that being said, the ongoing…

@Shijit Dasgupta - my answer is complete now. Sorry for the iterative approach, but I encountered the odd restriction that "Your post was rejected because it contains blacklisted words", and the resulting post is now word by word identical to the one that I wanted to submit in the first place, alas ...

Unfortunately this is not possible via the Bamboo UI, but can be achieved by Modifying notification templates in principle: If you want to customise the layout and content of your Bamboo notifications, you can customise the templates for each of the notification types (i.e. HTML email, text email, instant message) and…

Bamboo 5.14 comes with a few API changes for 5.14 that some add-ons likely need to address before they will be compatible again: Plugins that are particularly prone to incompatibilities and require special attention are those that deal with: * automatic plan creation and management * automatic plan branch creation and…

In this case it's probably going to be most efficient if you directly contact the add-on's vendor Zephyr via the Get support link from the add-on listing. I have also added the resp. tag 'addon-com.thed.zephyr.zfj-bamboo' to your question, but given you are the first to ask about it, they likely won't monitor this yet.

Have you checked whether the add-on installation might have succeeded regardless by clicking Manage add-ons again afterwards? In case it has, see my answer for the likely explanation.

I have encountered this error when Bamboo's Base URL setting does not match the actual URL in use, refer to Specifying Bamboo's URL on how to address this in case: To specify Bamboo's URL: * Click the icon in the Bamboo header and choose Overview. * Click General Configuration (under 'System'), in the left navigation…

This is not supported yet - you can track this popular feature request in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CQ-318.

Yes it should - as per the Supported Platforms for JIRA 5.2, JIRA is a pure Java-based application and should run on any supported operating system, provided that the JDK / JRE requirements are satisfied.

I've just been able to address this issue after discovering the related Confluence knowledge base article Cannot add JIRA Agile Sprints or other JIRA related event type in Team Calendars for Confluence: Cause As we can see, the REST calls are made to the ical class, so in this case the problem happens because the JIRA…

Both is possible indeed: * You can Customise [the built-in] blueprint templates * You can Implement your own blueprints - there are a couple of tutorials too:* Write a simple Confluence Blueprint plugin * Write an intermediate blueprint plugin * Write an advanced blueprint plugin

Most likely you are looking for the Bamboo Script task: * You can execute inline or file based shell scripts on Linux or Windows, and specify arguments and environment variables (possibly injecting Bamboo variables in turn). * The shell script's exit code determines the task result, i.e. return 0 do communicate success and…

'Running or building Docker images from your scripts' is not supported yet (see Limitations of Bitbucket Pipelines) - please watch and vote for the following issue to guide Atlassian's roadmap in this regard: * Building and pushing Docker images (#12790)

@Mihai Marinescu - yeah, I understand and can feel your pain. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to do anything about this, which is why I referenced the related Atlassian issue. Of course, depending on how important this is for your use case, you can always develop your own Bamboo add-on to implement a REST endpoint that…

Only indirectly (and partially), i.e. there is no REST API for management of Bamboo variables - please watch/vote/comment on the following issues to raise awareness for this surprising limitation: * https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-13511 That being said, you can at least use the Script task to write the variables to a…

Unfortunately this is not available yet: configuration and infrastructure as code is still one of the notoriously weak areas of Bamboo and subject to several of the most highly voted feature requests accordingly - please watch and vote for the following issues to further guide Atlassian's roadmap in this regard: *…

Hi Leena, Have I interpreted your question correctly in that you would (primarily) like to use AWS CodeCommit as a source code repository provider in Bamboo, i.e. similar to how Bitbucket and GitHub are supported? Or are you (also) looking for tasks to manage your repository lifecycle, i.e. something like…

Update 2019-05-27 AWS CodeCommit web repository viewer As of Tasks for AWS 2.18 and Identity Federation for AWS 2.11, you can use the AWS CodeCommit web repository viewer to gain deep links with optional Single Sign-On (SSO) so that you can click through to commits and diffs in the CodeCommit console from build and…

@Sergei Dorogin - I feel your pain, it is indeed very frustrating to debug things only to find out that it is a well known but non obvious limitation. Please note that I just speculated about Atlassian's rationale though, there might well be a good reason for excluding those features, notably that they simply haven't found…

This answer does not address your issue with the youtrack-confluence-plugin. Empty Macro Browser The lack of macros in Confluence Questions seems to be the 'by design' state of affairs - you can verify this behavior in this very instance that is driving Atlassian Answers, where the editor offers the well known…

You have two options to control the cache behavior, which are documented in Integrating Crowd with Apache: CrowdCacheMaxAge 120 The maximum number of seconds that a response from Crowd will be cached by the Apache Crowd connector. 60 CrowdCacheMaxEntries 1000 The maximum number of entries cached at any time by the Apache…

This is an often requested feature and would require a dedicated add-on conceptually, but I'm not aware of an official extension point that allows to add more panels there - please watch/vote/comment on the following issue to further raise Atlassian's awareness for this obvious improvement: *…

@Alexey Chystoprudov - given the opportunity: many thanks for tackling all those small yet utterly helpful missing pieces recently (Bamboo After Deployment Trigger, Bamboo Fail Build Trigger, Bamboo agents usage visualization, Bamboo(5.10+) Build Times Plugin, Bamboo Agent Notifications, etc.), very much appreciated! And…

This is indeed not explicated on Dedicating an agent and slightly non intuitive given the page name, though reasonably straight forward as such: * Go to the Agents management page - all dedicated agents are marked as such: image2015-8-7 17:11:39.png * Go to the agent in question by clicking its name or View. * Click the…

I see, makes sense - I'm not aware of an option to tie the branch point to the issue type for example (similar to how the branch type and name are inferred), even though it would be an obvious improvement accordingly. You might want to watch/vote/comment on https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BSERV-2491 to raise the priority…
