Viewtracker will likely suffer the same performance problems as the Confluence Usage Tracking plugin (which is disabled by default because it has known performance problems in large installations). If you have problems with one, you'll likely see problems with the other plugin too. The guys from BitVoodoo will likely know…

Where have you pointed your confluence.home property in [confluence-install]\confluence\WEB-INF\classes\confluence-init.properties? Try moving it under d: instead.

Have a look at the Confluence data model and create your own SQL statement. Blog about your results (or add them here as a comment) :) Related: Here's a bunch of SQL scripts that Betsy Walker wrote up.

This seems like a perfectly reasonable use of a custom plugin. I've developed similar functionality in the past. You'd likely want to configure an LDAP group as the internal users and set the comment visibility based on that group.

Thanks for reporting all these bugs. I've just been confused on how to get stuff done that seemed obvious before. Hopefully, missing functionality will be reapplied, but maybe the reduced featureset is intended. The inability to edit stuff after making errors in your posts is an annoyance. Oooh and the link modal in the…

Really? You're saying that a new page with the same title as an existing page overwrites the content of the previous page?
-
Edit the Custom HTML in the Confluence Admin section. In At the end of the HEAD add: <script> AJS.toInit(function(){ AJS.$('#splitter-button.collapsed').click(); });</script>

I've noticed this too in the {multimedia} macro. WebKit based browsers worked fine, but Firefox doesn't like mp4 format.
-
You could use Google Chrome in full-screen mode. Et voilà!
-
Browse to Confluence Admin | Look & Feel | Custom HTML In At the end of the HEAD paste: <script> AJS.toInit(function(){ AJS.$('body.login').find('a[href$="language=en_GB"]').text('English (British)'); });</script>

URL encode the "|" character to %7C to fix the URL "|" is not a valid character. Insomniacs can read this if they don't believe me. Updated :)

Hi @Kent Schumann, AppFusions has just released Egnyte in Atlassian Confluence and also Egnyte in Atlassian JIRA. This is in addition to the existing sustained and supported Atlassian Document Management integrations (such as Dropbox, Box, Alfresco, Google Drive and more coming) that we offer. Each is plug and play and…

Also, enabling nested groups for a user base of that size is likely not advisable.

@Colin Goudie is right here. I'd suggest browsing to Browse | Confluence Admin | Look & Feel | Custom HTML In At the end of the HEAD add: <script> AJS.toInit(function(){ AJS.$('#poweredby li:not(:first)').hide(); });</script> This would customisation would be retained on upgrade. Also, read Editing the Footer

In the example above, I was using the bundled {code} macro on a clean installation of Confluence 3.3.
-
-- now moved to yfrog. hope it doesn't close soon.
-
The obvious choice is the {code} macro. A quick test on Confluence 3.3 seems to show it working nicely in both Confluence and a PDF rendition of the page. Here's a link to the full image: http://yfrog.com/z/kkghlp

The Google Docs in Confluence plugin (from AppFusions) provides the ability to embed Google Forms into Confluence.

If applicable, make sure you have done this... Configure Web Proxy Support for Confluence

In confluence/decorators/page.vmd, try copying this: #applyDecorator("root") #decoratorParam("sitemeshPage" $sitemeshPage) #decoratorParam("page" $page) #decoratorParam("context" "comments") #end below here: ## EDIT || PREVIEW-EDIT #elseif ($mode == "edit" || $mode == "edit-preview") $body You'll likely have to repeat this…

You can do it with client side Javascript, if that's good enough. In Confluence Admin | Look & Feel | Custom HTML add in At the end of the HEAD: <script> AJS.toInit(function () { if (AJS.params.remoteUser == '') { AJS.$('a[href*="spacetools.action"]').parent().hide(); } });</script>

120 seconds+? Your users must be very patient :)Could you optimise the query better? Have better indexing on the database side?Could you trigger a Confluence job that runs and caches the query in the background for faster delivery of the content.

Edit the PDF stylesheet as documented here: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Customising+Exports+to+PDF#CustomisingExportstoPDF-CustomisingthePDFStylesheet For <div class="codeContent panelContent">...</div> Use the selector div.codeContent.panelContent { font-size: 8px; /* or similar */} You may need to specify…

I think this should be good for IE7+ Attribute selectors in CSS have been around for some time now. If youre using Confluence 5, then you'll need a reasonably modern browser: IE8+ or the latest version of the other browsers. If you like it, mark it as correct ;)

In Confluence Admin | Custom HTML | Add the end of the HEAD, paste: <style>a[href^="http://"], a[href^="https://"] { background: url(http://bits.wikimedia.org/static-1.22wmf1/skins/vector/images/external-link-ltr-icon.png) center right no-repeat; padding-right: 13px;}</style> That should do the trick. Maybe get your own…

Awesome. Thanks.

Hmm. Not quite. Favouriting is something that you do manually. Following appears to be something that automatic happens based on any question that you've ever touched. I seem to be following hundreds of questions, but I've only favourited about 10. Is there any way of finding the questions that were favourited before the…

Some things... You don't seem to be using jQuery at all, so why both with the {jquery} macro. Also, this is being displayed in the page, so don't add the head or body tags. Try this: {html}<script> function displayMessage(){ alert('Hello World!'); }</script><form><input id="clickMeInput" type="button" value="Click me!"…

Carol, without admin rights, you're likely in trouble. Perhaps you could ask an administrator?

If this is something you'd like to do quickly, attach the JavaScript and SWF files to a publically accessible Confluence page and create a user macro... Something like this (untested) seems reasonable: ## Macro title: copy-textarea## Macro has a body: Y## Body processing: Unrendered## Output: Selected output option####…
