François, Penny is exactly right. wrap it in script tags :)

In Confluence all labels seem to default to lower case. If you mean JIRA, you'll need to add some JavaScript like this: AJS.$('#labels-textarea').live('blur',function(){ AJS.$(this).val( AJS.$(this).val().toUpperCase() ); }); Either find a suitable JavaScript file to update, or hack it into the admin section in a similar…

@Sue Hallword: Answers runs off OSQA and as such is not integrated with Confluence, but is a stand alone system. On developer.confluence.com, Atlassian have created a custom plugin called "Answers Linker Plugin" that queries Answers and dispays some results in the <div id="answers-container">..</div> element.

Hide the Dashboard link with a little JavaScript... Browse to Confluence Admin | Look & Feel | Custom HTML Paste this into At the End of the HEAD: <script>AJS.toInit(function(){ if (AJS.params.remoteUser == ''){ AJS.$('#breadcrumbs li:first').remove(); // remove the dashboard link AJS.$('#breadcrumbs…

See the Confluence UI Guidelines. The guidelines suggest wrapping all custom jQuery in AJS.toInit() if you require the code to be fired after DOMReady. So your code would be: AJS.toInit(function(){ AJS.$('#hide').click(function(){ AJS.$('#test1').fadeOut(); }); AJS.$('#show').click(function(){…

Do you really need this? Or could it be more a matter of user training? Most modern browsers allow you to drag and drop an attachment onto a page.

1. There is only one dashboard. Users see only the content that their permissions allow them. In Confluence Admin | General Configuration, you can set a site wide home page that users see when they login. Also the Confluence logo will link through to that page. 2. Yes, you can set it up that way. Though…

Here's a method of changing specific language text that will also nicely survive a Confluence upgrade:http://davidsimpson.me/2009/11/04/changing-boilerplate-text-in-confluence/You'll need to search for the specific text in the .properties file and only include that in your new partial language pack.

Try adding this to Confluence Admin | Look & Feel Custom HTML | At the end of the HEAD: <style> #com-atlassian-confluence #editPageLink { position: fixed; background: #fff; border: 1px solid #ccc; right: 210px; }</style> It should give an edit button that stays in the same place in the browser window regardless of scrolling

Try bundling this jQuery RSS feed plugin as a user macro:http://www.zazar.net/developers/jquery/zrssfeed/
-
You could always try importing mediawiki into Confluence 3.5 using the UWC and then upgrade Confluence from 3.5 to 4.0. Failing that, I'll defer to @Laura Kolker's superior knowledge.

Hi @gue22, Could you disable and then reenable the plugin - this sometimes helps when theres a plugin problem in Confluence.
-
Cool. That will likely do the trick :)

Browse to: Confluence Admin | Look and Feel | Custom HTML In At end of the HEAD, add some javascript similar to this: <script> if (AJS.$('#login-link').length > 0) { AJS.$('#browse-menu-link').parent().hide(); } <script>

@Christian Neureiter: Check the update. Hopefully it will fix your problem.

Browse to Tools | View Storage Format and you'll get something like <ac:macro ac:name="profile-picture"><ac:parameter ac:name="User">david</ac:parameter></ac:macro> Wrap this is a user macro and you get... ## Macro title: My Profile Picture## Macro has a body: N## Body processing: None## Output: HTML#### Developed by:…

If the ordering went down the 1st column, then the 2nd & then the 3rd it would be much easier for users to scan. The current layout appears to be the simplest to markup, rather than the simplest to use.
-
IF this is in a user macro, thats tricky. If you're using a custom macro, you could either to the maths in the java code and then pass it though, or add MathUtils to the velocity context and then do something like: $mathUtils.addAndCheck($x, $y)
-
No, sorry. You can't change things that may break the layout in OnDemand.

Where are you storing the docs? As attachments to the page? Or elsewhere?
-
Go through all the system plugins and disable the relevent mail notification ones :)
-
Don't use $action.getHelper().renderConfluenceMacro(): Do something similar to this: http://davidsimpson.me/2012/01/24/on-converting-wiki-markup-based-user-macros-for-use-with-confluence-4/

It all depends on the page title... Refering to the Uniform Resource Locators RFC (from December 1994)... only alphanumerics, the special characters "$-_.+!*'(),", and reserved characters used for their reserved purposes may be used unencoded within a URL. If the page title complies with this, the URL will be like…

You can also add this little snippet into the <head>: // Disable any trackers that Atlassian may add for (i=1; i <= 60; i++) { // It's 8 for Bonfire, but let's use a hammer to kill any new ones too. window['ga-disable-UA-20272869-'+i] = true; } This will disable Google Analytics tracking for property code UA-20272869-1…

The Bonfire plugin for JIRA uses Google Analytics. You can locate the calls in one of the batch.js files: It seems that jQuery("#bonfire-build-info").find('[data-bonfire-var="bonfire-gaTrackingCode"]').data("bonfire-value") ...evaluates as "UA-20272869-8"

Can you see the Google Analytics JavaScript when you view page source? Has someone sneaked it into the Announcement header section?

See the update ;)
