What library are you using that provides "lastComment"? Is it one of the last comment apps?

I think we need to see this, can you record a video where you try to move an issue from one column to another (in the same swimlane) and it fails? And a second to confirm that you can move between the same columns when swimlanes are turned off?

Not really, JSM project's main purpose is to gather requests from people, not break down activity into smaller parts, so the sub-task functionality is not great. The simple answer is "stop trying to use sub-tasks in places where they are of little or no use"

That error message suggests that you are not trying to get into an Atlassian-based system. You will need to talk to the administrators of the system you are trying to log into.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! I've done this a number of times, but it has always been by "using the right tool". Wordpress is a simple publishing platform, Jira is a very powerful issue tracker. So I set them up together so that people do issue tracking in the issue tracker, and then let the page publishing software…

That tells us that one of your admins has deleted the "generic event". Your reporter is being emailed because they are named in the notification scheme. Or you are using a team-managed project, where notifications are done without schemes.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! This is something you will need to take up with Projectrak - PQL is for "project level fields" and the gadget you are looking at is a project-based gadget provided by their project fields app. I cannot help you, and nor can anyone here who does use Projectrak. I have access to a some…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! You will need to amend your search so that it includes a way to sort by key in the way you want. There is no way to specify an order for a search based on arbitrary keys though - you'll need to put data on the issues to tell them how they should be ordered.
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community! This will happen if you have an automation, script, listener, or post-function that the transition triggers.
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Licences for Atlassian apps currently have to match the number of users you have for the biggest of the applications. If you've got 25 developers in Software and 10 JSM agents, then your apps will be licenced for 25 users. This is handled automatically. If you increase the cap of users…

You can not drag and drop between swimlanes, only columns. Can you still move between columns? The reason you can't change swimlanes is because they could be anything. How would you change an issue from one swimlane to another if the swimlanes were "assignee = Bob" and "component = penguin"?

There is no "JSM interface". What you see when you go into a project is whatever the project type is. Your screenshot is of the selection screen, asking you what type of project you want to create, it's not even a project view (yet) If you want to use a Kanban board, then create a Kanban board (or to get one automatically…

Yes and no. If you mean you want to change the link type, then no, your only option is to edit the issue, delete the existing link and add a new one. If you mean you want to rename "blocks" to "relates to", then go to admin -> issue links, and update the names (bearing in mind this is a global setting that affects everyone)
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community! No. Kanban boards stop displaying "done" issues based on their type. * Some Kanban boards will stop displaying anything in the "done" column (the very last column on the board) that has not been updated in two weeks. * Others have a "sub filter", which defaults to "in the last columns…

The project category field is not an issue field. The whole reason it exists is so that you can ask the global question "show me all issues in this category", having issue contexts for it would render it completely useless for what it is designed for.
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community! I think your translation software has mis-translated something to "perdition", and messed up a bit of the grammar - I am sorry, but it makes your question nonsense in English. (Perdition is a state of eternal damnation, I am sure you really don't want to get that from uploading an SSH…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! .jwb files from Jira contain configuration data. The only thing you can do with them is import them from the workflow editor or the same app (Structure) that created them.

JQL only gives you a list of issues that matches the question you ask with it. If you want to see the sprints issues are in, then you need to use a view of the JQL results that include it. The most obvious one is the "issue navigator", which is where you land when you run a search or filter. Add "sprint" as a column in the…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! This is a standard function in Company-managed projects. They use configuration "schemes" to set up almost everything, and these schemes are global objects. All you have to do is tell two projects to use the same schemes, and you'll end up with projects that work in the same way. Picking…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! This is just a case of going into a project that is JSW rather than JSM. Jira's default landing page is your personal dashboard if you have one, or the system dashboard. If you're always landing in a JSM project, then you're using a URL pointed to that project, you probably want to…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Team-managed projects only support a single sub-task type, you can't have more than one. It's an on/off - either you have sub-tasks in the project (all called "sub task"), or you do not. Team-managed projects are not configured with schemes, schemes are the way you configure…

Hi Andrew, What you are describing here is a function that Atlassian discarded very shortly after acquiring what is now "Jira Software". They replaced it with a proper ranking system. You could implement the prioritisation scheme you describe, but it will be prone to error, and it fails miserably to scale. You have flagged…

It's the same as the discussions we've already had above. Before asking for vendors to build a huge pile of code to enable this, and train your admins to be able to handle all the options, and all the questions about "it works differently for me" and "I can't see something my colleague can", have a think about the real…
-
There's no point in stating a function is a "requirement" when it can't work. Your "requirement" is simply wrong and someone asking for it needs to look at it again. If you really really want to work this way, then you should find a tool that allows you to implement a broken process. (You won't be there for long, you will…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Your question is might have two interpretations, but the answer is the same for both. When you say "the issue loses its parent and gets assigned as a sub-task on the Epic", do you mean: * The sub-task is converted to a base-level issue which then takes on the Epic as its parent. * The…

Hi Emiliano, This will happen when a custom field does not have a "searcher" associated with it. As an admin, go to admin -> issues -> custom fields and find the missing field in the list of fields. Click "edit" (not "configure") and you'll see the field name, description and searcher, which I suspect will currently say…

This is a lot of unneccessary work. It is far easier (and much easier for your humans) to just add "you can not close this issue when it has open sub-tasks" into your workflow. No code, no chewing up automations, no emailing people to tell them things have gone wrong.
-
Atlassian software does have a concept of "base URL" - this is where an Atlassian system is centred, and where the system builds URLs from (for example, all issues in Jira are always found on HTTP(s)//<base URL>/browse/<project>-<issue number>) Most apps that connect into a Jira just want the base URL, which, in your…

I am not quite sure what you are looking for here. Imagine you have two computers, that are not connected. One of them has a list of what it sees as teams. The other has list of teams too. They don't share. The systems are separate, so their data is as well.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! To get text "in front of" an image, you will need to open the image in an image editor, and paste the text in over the top of the image.
