Thanks for reading, @Vero Rivas !

It can absolutely be used when taking on a new team! Chances are, the team you're joining has their own set of rituals that need reviewing. This would give you a chance to learn what they are, and, be a fresh pair of eyes for them as they determine what changes might be needed.
-
That's great, @Vero Rivas! Let us know what you uncover!
-
It sure is, @John Funk. Let us know if you give this Play a go!
-
How fun! I love the idea of introducing a ritual that reduces stress... and promotes team bonding! Thanks for sharing, @Gonchik Tsymzhitov

Great! Let us know what comes out of the exercise, @Gonchik Tsymzhitov!

Awesome, @Manish Bannur . We'd love to hear how it goes!

I love this idea, @Amanda Turner. As you hinted, maybe a "Lessons Learned" and "Mistakes we made" meeting or board could be one and the same? Even if the meeting's purpose is to any discuss mistakes/errors we've made, calling it something like "Lessons learned" sounds much less scary.

Thanks for sharing, @Natalie!

Sure thing, @Jack Brickey! Hmm, interesting. What facilitation format do you typically use to run your retros (Confluence page, Trello board, sticky notes, something else)? And at what time points (a regular monthly/quarterly cadence, or a project milestone)? I've participated in retros that have a more personal approach…

Thanks for sharing your experience, @Kat Warner! Glad to hear there've been long-lasting improvements and that there were some lessons learned. Is this something you'd consider doing again with your team?
-
Wow, @Gregory Oakes Your team process is enviable! I love the idea of breaking out your results from SWOT and 4Ls into those three "Place" groups, and the fact that you have a team Trello board for tracking progress. It's so important to make sure we hold ourselves and our teams accountable for actually making changes…
-
Great, @Jimmy Seddon ! I hope they enjoy this format!
-
Oooh. I love the sound of "Lessons Learned" meetings! Are they similar to retrospectives?
-
We hope it goes well for you, @Vero Rivas !
-
Awesome, @Marianne Miller 🙌 Hope your team enjoys this Play and that you all come away with some great insights! Let us know how it goes!
-
Let us know how it goes, @Sandesh Shetty! Here's to better work! 🙌

Awesome, @Marianne Miller . Definitely a great way to kick off the new year! Hope the Play goes well with your team. We'd love to hear all about it!

Fresh perspectives are so important! That's awesome, @carrie_eandm. I hope OKRs help your department become even more successful this coming year. And maybe... after your great success... you'll be asked to help your entire team determine theirs :) Here are a couple more resources you might be interested in checking out…

Totally agree. It's definitely not as easy as it looks on paper ;) This article might be another good resource for you and your team as you start to ramp up more in 2021, @Martin Bayer _MoroSystems_ s_r_o__ !
-
Great points about aligning team goals with the organization's and the importance of transparency, @Walter Buggenhout It can definitely be a challenge to keep OKRs a living thing. Our team uses a variation of this Confluence template to help us stay on track. We set our yearly OKRs on one "master page", and have similar…
-
That's fantastic, @Walter Buggenhout! So glad to hear this new approach is working well for your team. And regarding the dedicated Slack channel, noted! It's a great recommendation and something I'll keep in mind and mention to my team if it seems like our weekly standups are starting to get lost in the rest of the…

Glad to hear your team is making progress, @Jack Brickey! Can you help us understand more about where you're hoping to be? Do you mean in terms of working toward your goals, specifically, or are you hoping to improve upon the processes your team has in place?
-
I'd miss them, too! It definitely has, @Jack Brickey. Trying to bring them back with your team in 2021 sounds like a great idea. Let us know how it goes!
-
Absolutely, @Soumyadeep Mandal! Common goals for all team members to work toward is key to great collaboration. OKRs are a great challenge! Do you set them with your team or do you use another type of goal setting framework?
-
That's great, @Deepanshu Natani! Are they in-person/video stand ups or are they written/chat style? Or maybe a mix of both!
-
That's such a great callout, @Dave LIAO Right! Certainly an odd year for all of us. Especially for those who started new jobs!
