Theoretically Screen Scheme - Defines which screens are going to be used for which operation (create, view, edit) Issue Type Screen Scheme - Defines which Screen Scheme (above) is going to be used for which issue type Here's an example You have 2 screens: * Screen A (Summary, Description, Due Date) * Screen B (Summary,…

Great feature. Can we have it for Server though :) ?

Great post! Thanks

Hi @jaybenjaminlee Are you having the same requirement as @Sagar Amritkar did ? Or is it a different situation. Cheers
-
Hmm dedicated plugin maybe. I use ScriptRunner for Jira to achieve this. Run a custom script workflow post function There are plenty of examples for that. Let me know if you need a reference. Thanks

Hi, You can definitely put validations on create transition, however that would still leave the request types as visible. One way you could do it (I use it too) is via the add-on: Extension for Jira Service Desk - one of the many functionalities is restriction of request types based on user groups. Cheers

Did you check the resolution? For a issue to be marked as "Closed or Done" it has to have a resolution.
-
@Martin Gregory maybe you mean you can't rename an active workflow. Simply set it as inactive or create a copy and then rename.
-
Hi, Yes. It's easily doable. You need: 1-Insight configuration * Add a new object type (i.e "Request Type"). This can serve as 1to1 mapping with your actual Customer Requests Types configured in your Service Desk project. * Add one object for starter (say "Restore" - this is my example request type) * Then navigate to your…

Hey @Lars Bachmann , Is this still open? Br

Can you please share the entire script how you are using it? My guess there were api changes going from 7.x to 8.x. However I'm still on 7.x so i need to check the script first.

If I understood correctly, upon creation of subtask, you require a certain custom field to inherit value from parent?
-
Hi @Dhavval Aarya , Please try it on the script console and try debugging it on where it fails. For script console you can use something like this to help retrieve the issue import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessordef issue = ComponentAccessor.getIssueManager().getIssueObject('ABC-123') While debugging can be…

Kindly replace with < and > instead of < or >

Hi @Dhavval Aarya , Not sure if there are any changes on the . I'm currently on 7.12.3 and seems to be working fine for me. Could you try removing that block and see if it runs? Br
-
I think it just stores the key as a string. From there, Jira always picks up issue keys, stored as strings and creates a hyperlink. Regarding issue link data, I'm afraid this won't work.
-
If it's on project level, why don't you use custom field Configuration Scheme? You could easily set up filters. Example: Add an attribute in the insight object, of type = Project. Name it "Available Project" or "Projects Applicable". Select the project(s) where you want it to appear. On custom field configuration, add a…

Depends on the "easily" for sure :). Well I keep saying this often, but usually the single add-on you need is a scripting one. Recommended from my side: Script Runner for Jira Very cheap on the license side, but extremely powerful. Also the function you are looking for is built in. We use it everyday to escalate tickets…

Maybe you could write a custom issue picker? https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/behaviours-conversions.html
-
Kindly mark as accepted, if it solved your issue.
-
You would have to also add issueFunction in subtasksOf(....) Subtasks of issues have no information if issue is related to an epic or not. The subtask can be related though

Hi, Very much interested in this topic. I know there is an addon for chat functionality, with a cool interface https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218891/chat-for-jira-service-desk?hosting=server&tab=overview So if in theory, we could access this addon's service and send/read chats, it could be doable. This would only…

If you have script runner, you could start here https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/behaviours-conversions.html There are some examples on how to dynamically retrieving external values and displaying them as dropdown values in a text field.

Hi, You can use this: issueFunction in issuesInEpics("labels in (AWS)") issuesInEpics - returns all issues of epics in subquery (). In my case I searched for all epics containing the label AWS, but you can simply replace that with the issue key only for 1 Epic. Cheers

On project configuration summary you can find the Permission Scheme that this project is using. If not sure about the impact, maybe just create a new Permission Scheme and assign that to the project. From there, you can see certain permissions like , Browse project, Comment, Create ,etc etc
-
Use a permission scheme, based on roles. Make that user a member of Role X (assuming Role X has browse project Permission in the Permission Scheme).

It was kind of funny reading this article and having flashbacks of actual moments like this. It all boils done to why the user actually uses Jira, imo: If the user only uses it because he/she "should" - definitely you can expect these behaviors and more. But the real "why" should be different :)

@Shubha_Bala Hi, Would be glad to help out. Let me know

@David Stokesfor the URL or other Confluence response parts I can also share the script for something similar, but go ahead and try if this implementation actually works for you.
