@LarryBrock That is nice. But token based solution like this - ( https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1221182/api-tokens-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview ) are already available, if you want to test them.

I wish you only get the first one :-)

@DonPerera Two things, * You don't have to create a controller for this, as atlassian-connect-spring-boot comes with LifecycleController that deal with endpoints like '/installed', '/uninstalled'. * You have to listen to the Custom Spring Application Events (i.e. AddonInstalledEvent, AddonUninstalledEvent) generated by…

@PASUPULA REDDY There are no rest api's to export PDF/Word out of Confluence. But there exists SOAP API's for this - https://developer.atlassian.com/server/confluence/remote-api-specification-for-pdf-export/ Please do verify if SOAP is working with your version of Confluence as Atlassian team is looking to deprecate it as…
-
@DonPereraYou can do that. Here is brief idea, * Upon installation of add-on Jira call spicific url defined in module descriptor file (atlassian-connect.json)* This looks like this * "lifecycle": { "installed": "/installed" } * You can learn about lifecycle module on this page (look for Lifecycle heading) -…

@Bernd Steffens I will provide you with some sort of sample add-on in a day or two.
-
@David HuntThere is no default way of doing this. But you can customize look and feel of page header section in Confluence. So I would suggest you to add empty `div` as a placeholder and a custom JS, that verify if the site is UP and in case site is down, insert some text in div. You can learn this from here -…

Great going! When you let Genie free don't forget to give him address of Mike :-)

Ha ha ha! Dubai is next level.
-
@Bernd Steffens You are correct about the approach. For storage of script I would suggest you to put it in 'resources' directory of your plugin. This way you can validate it during plugin development, and can be easily upgraded/installed with plugin on any Confluence server you want. Two more thing, * If you python program…

@Davin Studer if we may know what are three wishes?

Nice religion theory!

Oh! your are the first to take a Harry Potter route :-)
-
Nice one @Carla_Cox and I think that is pretty much a possibility.
-
@David Karr I'm sorry to say but there are no API tokens in Jira Server. But you can use oAuth if you are building full fledged application. This is documented here - https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/oauth/
-
I happy that your issue is resolved. I know prices of some add-on which just replicate existing features are not justified at all, it just lack of effective documentation by Atlassian.
-
:-) nice idea!
-
Surely you can do that, look at Hansontable documentation for that, I have provided you with bare minimum implementation. You have make those changes in view.vm and edit.vm files.
-
@Dominic Lagger I could have suggested the same, and it might have solved problem to some extent, but this is not complete solution. For a complete solution, the table has to have dynamic width setting that user can configure. Currently table show comment as widest column, and some user might not need that at all.

@David Karr The page of Jira (BASE_URL/issues/?filter=-1) is a default filter page of Jira server. Here issues are fetched based filter. Now to fetch result based on filter, * First fetch filter details,* https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/REST/8.5.3/#api/2/filter-getFilter * curl --request GET \ --url…

@Avrohom_Yisroel_Silver This seems like a UI glitch or bug. I will update this to Atlassian Confluence Team.
-
@Bernd SteffensRunning python directly from SDK plugin is possible but it is not recommended as it voids all the security provided by JVM in Confluence. But still here are some things you can do, for running python code on button click via confluence, * Create a macro that generates 'Button' and some Javascript to go with…

Sri and Fernando, now let's make a Kickstarter campaign for this.

Hover board :-) You will be early everywhere!

@David Karr Jira's rest are creatively designed and they mimic behavior of Jira UI as much as possible. Now coming to your issue, when you look closely, if your Jira search screen url is like this, * BASE_URL/issues/?jql=JQL_QUERY Your REST API URL will be simply, * BASE_URL/rest/api/latest/search?jql=JQL_QUERY (You can…

@hai The image you are using i.e. 'atlassian/confluence-server' doesn't contain Atlassian CLI tools from Atlassian SDK. If you want to run commands like `atlas-cli` from Atlassian SDK CLI, you will different image with Atlassian SDK in it, for example, 'translucent/atlassian-plugin-sdk'.

@sgole Found some time and have created a sample for you available here * https://bitbucket.org/jangidd/tabular-custom-field-sample Details, * I have used Handsontable as sample grid implementation. * I'm saving data as text-area field, by marshaling data into JSON from table. * Table provide inline editing and context…
