  • If your self signed certificate has expired, you don't need to renew it, simply generate a new one. Renewal of certificate is just a terminological thing, in true sense renewal of certificate is generation of new certificate. Also, for self signed I suggest you generate it for long time, like 20 years. So you don't need to…
  • How about using command line and doing git-reset It will make your local code and local history be just like it was at that commit. But then if you wanted to push this to someone else who has the new history, it would fail. git-reset --hard <commit-hash> or use this to just go to specific commit, and keep your changes…
  • I always wanted to become an engineer, and the only reason is my Grand Father. I belong to long lineage of carpenters, and I have seen mastery of my Grandpa, and his ability to mold block of wood into anything he desire. When I was child, I use to walk around his workshop, I still remember the day when he bought me small…
  • @Metin _savignano software solutions_I liked your point of view. What are your views on performance vs encryption?
  • @Walter_Zambottiyes you can do that. Till the time you execute 'atlas-clean' all your data will preserved in development instance.
  • Jira cloud does not Gadgets as you have in Jira server but you can develop Dashboard Item for Jira cloud. https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/modules/dashboard-item/
  • @falkeckert On OAuth, * OAuth request consist of multiple http request called OAuth Dance, * This dance is required to perform any api request on server, * This is more suited when we are writing application to interact with Jira. Curl, * This is suited for single request and response. So If want to access Jira api's and…
  • Atlassian Community is not based on Confluence. So Gamification exactly like this is not possible in your confluence. There is a feature request logged for this, give your support here. On Confluence Server, there is a plugin called "Karma".
  • @venkatcssyou can build and use private docker images with all dependencies. By looking at you pipeline you are just, * Installing* ZIP * boto3 * Running* apt-get update You can include these in your custom docker image. Rest of the pipeline is dependent on code base, so I would not suggest making them part of image.
  • @Graemeyou are welcome. Migration assistance take some time to open but it work fine on my instance. As you have installed it recently there is no question of version upgrade etc. I suggest you check logs, if something unexpected is appearing there.
  • Use myConfluencePlugin-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
  • @Nivedithaplease try to do steps mentioned on this page - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/not-able-to-install-or-uninstall-jira-service-desk-addon-776830101.html?selectedPageVersions=6&selectedPageVersions=7
  • 1. No, you will need to restart. Confluence create entry in database etc which doesn't happen when we just put plugin in directory. 2. Usually there are one jar, and one obr file, * Have you deleted 'target' directory before packaging or 'atlas-clean'? * You need to put only JAR file in…
  • @Michael LeakJQL is not SQL, it only return list of issues in Jira, it doesn't have projections and aggregation like SQL. https://www.atlassian.com/blog/jira-software/jql-the-most-flexible-way-to-search-jira-14
  • To make plugin jar you need to run `atlas-package` command. And yes you can put that in confluence home directory, but you will need to restart confluence to pick that plugin. To install plugin on your remote confluence instance you can look at, atlas-install-plugin command, it takes host, admin username and password to…
  • @aasif not other machine how about VM, may be a linux VM?
  • @Jim Constant Although, I myself use FISH shell, but it is convention to answer shell related questions in BASH as this is default in almost all Linux distribution. Z Shell is also wonderful, I have used it for long time (~2 Years). Upcoming Macos (Catalina) version will default to Z Shell.
  • Well said @Matt Doar "Trust" should be one of the important part when we decide for encryption.
  • @aastwo more things before you take this to Atlassian, * Have you tested plugin code base on another machine? * Have you tried to update and reinstall JDK on your system?
  • I also feel like they wanted to make UI simpler but ended up creating mess. @Jan Stähle have you logged this issue to Atlassian?
  • By clean environment I mean, using atlas-run, this run development Jira instance with no data. You need to fill data in this. But developer loop is faster here. For example if you are creating a Custom Field plugin that is going to aggregate and values from other plugin custom field. * You just create Custom Field without…
  • The limit is ~ 2GB for newer version of confluence server. But please don't go there, it will be huge performance penalty. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-12773 Try to split data in multiple pages in single space or page hierarchy.
  • @aasCan you try to uninstall your sdk and reinstall it. I think the problem is with SDK version you are using.
  • @JConstantineYes you need to update. Two of most important reason, * Jira 7.1 has known critical security vulnerabilities ( https://www.atlassian.com/trust/security/advisories ) * Jira 8.x is much is much faster than Jira 7.x - ( https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-8-0-x-release-notes-957981626.html…
  • Please also validate output of 'atlas-update' to check if your SDK is up to date.
  • Your question is not clear. * If you are on server instance (IP and port depend upon Jira Base URL, i.e. url you use to access Jira),* If you have port number in Jira Base URL (e.g. http://jira.example.com:8080)* Base URL without port number is IP (i.e. jira.example.com) , and * Port number defined in Base URL is port…
  • Have tried to run it after 'atlas-clean'?
  • @Ravi Dandunumber/count query as parameter is currently not possible in stock JQL provide by Jira. If you have limited number of component, you can use `AND` to find issue which has more than one component. Let us say you have 4 components, 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'D'. you can write query like this to find issues which has…
  • @Walter_Zambottithere are couple of things you need to do to achieve this, * Setting up test environment * Deploying plugin to staging server Test Environment, * Atlassian provide free licenses for this. * Setting this is straight forward, you just need to consider* Notification, * Proxy setup (if any) * This link will…
  • You can directly upgrade from Jira Software version 7.5 to Jira 8.x (latest version). To prepare for upgrade (read this), * Make sure you have valid Jira license, upgrades are not allowed for expired license, * Backup everything, (Jira Home, Jira Installation, and Database) * Make sure all plugins installed in your current…
