It sounds like a permissions problem. If you aren't running as `devwp` then Bamboo can't properly read/write/create files in it's home.

I run into this all the time, not just on the Bamboo server, but on my local dev machine. I have found Node Version Manager (nvm) to be a huge help for both cases. To install a given version (and keep it around), just do "nvm install 0.10". In a Bamboo build, you would just run a script task for "nvm use 0.10" then you can…

As you've discovered, Bitbucket Server doesn't work like "naked" Git. It's meant to be the home for many collaborators and many repositories. As such, it does "own" where it stores Git repositories. A while back, I wrote a blog post about triggering deployment with Git commands that might address your needs. Yes, you could…

What build tools do people use for .NET these days? When I last coded C# a couple years back, MS Build was pervasive, like it or not. But we liked to use a layer over it like psake or fake. Are people using those or others?

What build tools are popular with .NET folks these days? MS Build is there whether you like it or not, but what about Fake or PSake? Any others?

Another option is dedicated ALM Middleware. These aren't free like Clint's answer and there is an element of "Do It Yourself" so they are probably best suited to larger teams or organizations.
