thanks @Brita Moorus that's a great detailed answer, setting a review sla is something I started looking into at the moment
-
that is an effective and easy solution, so, do you have issues with them disappearing with that setup? Are they usually picked up? Or passed over all the time? or you kind of see them on the dashboard when needed? thanks
-
wow, that was a long incident
-
@Sarah Rank thank you, I agree with you, maximum 15 minutes. It would be awesome if that were the case
-
This is a cool idea, I haven't thought about this, but giving access to jira history to AI models will provide tons of context only available there.

I can't wait for GTA VI to come out, hopefully my PTO request will not be blocked 😂 I'm was an active gamer most of my life, but now in my 30s I can't find that free time so easily anymore. I finished Disco Elysium recently and it was great.
-
I use Page Index and the table of contents macro very often.
-
I started being active here recently as well, it's been a great experience and people are very helpful here. I was reticent about actually posting my own questions and articles first and wanted to only respond where I could to other people's posts. But again, people are very helpful and want to help you with your problems,…

yep, there's an ongoing incident, you can check the status here: https://status.atlassian.com/ I heard some people were able to use the MCP server to tell the agent to assign some tickets to people

Thanks @Stephen_Lugton our team is 10 people right now, and I believe that is on the higher side, and it's definitely one of the main reasons it takes that much. I agree with you, it's good to be flexible and adapt to the daily content, not just keeping to the 3 questions strictly.
-
thanks, I wish we could be that disciplined, I'll try pushing for the hard cutoff as a start, I'll let you know how it goes
-
Thank you @Ajay _view26_ it's good to know these options exist.
-
Interesting format @Antonio Ferruz :D Those early days of discovering computers was truly magical for me as well, I felt a bit of nostalgia reading the beginning of you story. I got my first computer in the early 2000s and learned everything the hard way.

AI Governance is a very important topic these days. - How does the app get an answer for the 4 topics? How does it identify AI governance risk? Or is it a manual process? - Given the high regulatory risk, prospects will be very reticent of adopting new tools for these high risk things, where fines might be involved. How do…
-
This is an interesting idea, it is indeed frustrating when someone gets a notification and they loose all the mental "infrastructure" they've built for the current task and have to "regenerate" it again after. I'm curious about your app, - Does it delay notifications if the mention is not urgent? - How did you manage to…
-
Thank you @Davit Mkrtchyan - Be On Time we did have 20% reserved for tech depts, keeping the lights on and other stuff like that. We might include retro action items there. We were already keeping the retro action items on a kanban board.
-
Thank you @Viswanathan Ramachandran migrations can be very difficult sometimes
-
Thank you for your advice
-
How have you seen organizations make capacity visible in practice? Is that something you've managed directly in Jira, or with separate planning tools?
-
I really like the principle of "standardize what affects everyone; allow flexibility where it only affects the team." That's a nice way to frame it. Looking back, was there anything you standardized during the migration that, in hindsight, you'd leave to individual teams instead?
-
Thanks, Dave! I like the idea of being explicit about what you're not standardizing as much as what you are. Out of curiosity, have you found any areas that teams almost always want to customize, but that are actually worth keeping standardized in the long run?
-
I like the distinction between tracking and capacity. I hadn't thought about it that way, but it makes sense that improvement work is often the first thing to be sacrificed when delivery pressure increases. Do you reserve that 5–10% at the team level, or do you actually create and plan the improvement work as part of the…
-
Thanks for sharing both examples, Olga. I like that they take very different approaches but have one thing in common: the review cadence. I'm curious about the second team using Smart Checklist: have they found that keeping the action items as checklist items (rather than separate Jira issues) is enough to keep them…
-
Definitely a common experience. Atlassian products have a lot of depth, so it's easy to discover features months after you start using them. One that made a big difference for me was learning to rely on JQL beyond simple searches. Once you start combining filters, saved searches, and dashboards, Jira becomes much more…
-
LFG! this is such a cool idea 🌴
-
I think the missing piece is making trade-offs explicit. If something urgent comes in mid-sprint, something else should be consciously pushed out. Too often teams absorb both, and the sprint quietly becomes unrealistic.
-
I like the distinction between intentional customization and unmanaged sprawl. One thing I've also noticed is that governance isn't just about Jira configuration, it extends to team practices as well. For example, many teams have a well-defined retrospective process, but little governance around what happens afterward.…

Using AI in retros is an interesting idea, I haven't given it a try yet. One thing that would be cool is to have AI group related retro items into a single thing.
-
I think jira tickets are some sort of a history source of truth. We have accustomed ourselves to view them as a time machine, where we can go back and see what we built, why we built it and what decisions we made. If we delete them, there's no track record of events that built the system. I personally see them being…
