It's great to see all of this energy put into AI! One killer-but-absolutely-table-stakes feature we're still missing is the ability to actually disable the whole thing. AI-1 seems to be closed, but the job is only partially done because org admins and anyone not on premium\enterprise still has this problem. There's a lot…

More articulated thoughts here, but, does feel like another one of those times when Atlassian decides to move heaven and earth to resolve one snippet of uncontextualized feedback without understanding the product, how it's used, or the ramifications of their "fix". Whoever is wishing on a monkey paw for Jira improvements,…

I'm curious about the intention behind the "Import from Jira Software" functionality...what is the problem it's solving? Couldn't we just....make a software project and use "move"?

This is a concept I've been grappling with in Confluence for more than 10 years, so very happy that we can do this using not-labels. After looking at it though, the main gain here is a more "in your face" label...the ceiling on actual usefulness is pretty low. In my experience doing this type of labeling and evaluating of…

Hey @Carol Low so excited for this! Two questions for you: 1. Has any thought been given to fixing the behavior around adding all priorities to the default scheme? I think we talked about this during the EAP but I can't find that post so just in case it's gone: * All projects are being moved to the 'default' priority…

Vote, comment and wait on JWMCLOUD-485!

Tamim Noorzad when will we be able to re-size inline images? Ideally I would like this to be arbitrary but having an "original"\"small"\"medium"\"large" would probably be OK as an interim step. The current implementation is functionally useless though, unfortunately. Whoever keeps wishing on a monkey paw to get Atlassian…

There are definitely lots of potential ways you could do this; here's one way... * I'd agree with Chris Boys that components are probably the best way to keep track of what skill-sets are needed to address individual tickets. I've used a single-select custom field as well, but the ubiquity of "component", the fact that…

A key finding from customer research was that users feel overwhelmed by the number elements shown, with many users seeing custom links unrelated their role. To improve the speed of execution for the vast majority of users, custom links will no longer appear in the switcher. I feel like a broken record but, yet again, y'all…

Support was able to do this for us! I ended up moving a big chunk of content manually while they were trying to do it, and started getting the '100 page limit' error even trying to move less than 100 pages. I eventually was able to move it once I got down to ~65, but I have anecdotal reports of it happening as low as 26.…

I am not seeing this...do we have to request it specially?

Just got the new UI in our production instance, and uh....not gonna lie Simon Chan I am not sure I see most of the usability improvements you mentioned were in the works. I do see that the "Scheduled" component text isn't stepping on itself in its smaller box anymore, which is nice. I don't know if it came up in our convo,…

Hey Eric Zheng - I don't necessarily disagree with the ground truth that "Jira is chatty", but I have to admit it really feels like y'all are taking away the wrong lessons. when emails become too noisy and irrelevant, users end up ignoring their emails by default anyways. This is true but also pretty misleading? Jira is…

"Escalating things from a support org to back-of-house team(s)" has got to be one of the most common usage patterns in Jira, but unfortunately I don't know how many people will be able to use this "Developer Escalations" to support it. After spending about a minute with it I already see some big issues: * As stated…

Hey Eric Zheng- Thanks for the clarification! That is something that's not always super easy right now so that's awesome! However I will say that does mean we're giving up the ability to tell when a user is supposed to receive a notification, which I guess makes sense given your next comment: It sounds like you're…

Hey Yerbol Nisanbayev, first, I love the engagement here. Feels so nice! Second, you said in a previous comment: Teams are different from groups as groups are admin controlled and are very strictly managed, usually used for permissions. Teams are meant for collaboration and can be created by any users Is this the…

Team Field I'll add my voice to the throngs, but I'll maybe go one step further: We should be able to create single and multi-picker team custom fields like we can for users and should be able to do for projects. Initiatives have been called out a couple of times above; one of the main reasons the entire "initiative"…

April Chi I would +1 the idea that this is something that should be a toggle somewhere in board configuration. I have teams who love sub-tasks and use them all the time; they will love this. I also have teams who detest the UX of subtasks and, even when they create them to help them manage a particularly complex story, do…

Going to be a little hard to answer this without some info ;) Off the top of my head... * What version of DC\Server are you using? * What add-ons do you have installed? * What workflow validations, conditions, and post functions are you using?

Based on some quick googling, it looks like the new Confluence editor was officially announced on February 2019. 57 months later.... * We're still missing some basic things that we used to be able to do in the old editor. * We actually lost a couple of things that made it into the new editor but then got pulled so you…

This is a great first step towards being able to to hide the lightning button and action menus entirely...any idea when that's coming? At the very least restrict it to project roles as Boldizsár Vermes mentioned so we can limit it to admins in 99% of projects. While it's definitely a rare occurrence, we do have times when…

Hi Eric Zheng! Thanks for sharing, that's definitely something I'd love to see. One question - will it be able to determine if a user should have gotten a notification or just that one was sent and failed? Happy to set up some time if that's easier.

Not sure if this question is still out there but if it helps, I actually found a solution I like better than the web request; I've mapped it out here. The other issue I have with the web request is that the API token is stored in the rule as plaintext, which means anyone with access to editing the rule would be able to get…

For anyone still in need of this, I have the larger solution mapped out here.

Thanks for this idea @Bill Sheboy...I haven't played with the "web request" action a ton, but it sounds like I have a reason to now!

Wild! Have to look through this rule to see if I can figure out it's deal then. And maybe get my brain checked.

Eric Zheng, Majken Longlade raises a good point I did not see originally...the admin notification tool is kind of critical when trying to figure out why a user is or is not getting an email. I realize this change introduces another layer of complexity to this entire stack; can you give us a sense of what the admin…

I have some documentation that I originally wrote back in 2021 that makes me think this wasn't always the case on Cloud...the screenshot is cut off so I can't say for certain, but the logic wouldn't work as it's written today unless the rule was set as global and I am 99% sure it wasn't. I also know this was a "bug" that…

Hi Simon Chan, thanks for the quick reply and glad to hear the component window is getting attention ASAP. Any idea when I'll see it hit the wild? I definitely understand wanting to make changes to the UI as you set yourselves up for future improvements and it's not my place to tell you how to do Product. It's also…

Got this UI recently in my personal instance, and have a lot of mixed feelings. The pure usability changes do feel like an improvement; rearranging the save\publish buttons and moving the components section feel like a good changes and the click-and-drag also feels much smoother. Visually, I really like that the branching…
