I think you are asking if the same issue can live in two projects; if that is your question, the answer is no. That being said, there's ways to keep tickets "in sync" with each other. The easiest I can think of would be to build a rule using the 'Automation' plugin. The logic would be "When issues with a "duplicates" or…

I've solved a very similar problem using entity properties, but they're not super friendly to use since JIRA doesn't give you a UI to set\edit them. Depending on how often you add users and whether you have a source of truth for them, it might be easier to write a script to set them via the JIRA API - however if that's…

Resource\capacity planning is not (as far as I know) part of JIRA Core or JIRA Software out of the box. There are a bunch of plugins out there that add some of this functionality - depending on how much more you need, I would check out Tempo and JIRA Agile as two options.

You might be able to hack the 'issue updated' event itself, but I think the safer course of action would be to: * Make a new custom event * Hack JIRA to fire this event instead of 'issue updated' whenever any field except the ones you identify is updated * Switch your notification scheme to use this new event instead of…

I found a reference to disabling this in their documentation under "Optional Features": * In the administration area of JIRA, go to the section called (in 8.x+) "Manage Apps" where you can install, update, or disable apps\plugins. * Find and expand the "Structure" entry, so that you see the licence details, etc. and click…

Hey @Chris Fadell did you ever get an answer to this? I am in quest of the same thing. Despite the field showing up as that long string in the API, all I get when I try to output the field in a comment is the sprint name, so I don't know that the string functions would even work here.

Hey @Andy, There's a few decent charting plugins for Confluence (we're using Table Filters and Charts for Confluence), but the main issue has less to do with Confluence not being able to graph in general and more with JIRA not giving you the data you'd need to accurately make the chart. We've looked at a few different…

Hi @Andy, This is actually a fairly large question, so going to break it down some, but TL;DR - you can't really do this out of the box. JQL (JIRA query language) is only capable of finding a list of issues based on the criteria you supply it - you can add "and sprint = 48" to the end of your current search to see all of…

Hi @Danich, Do you mean you need multiple statuses to show in the same column of a kanban or scrum board? If so, you can already do this from the "Column" section of a board configuration screen. One thing to keep in mind - normally you can drag an issue from one column to another (if it has a transition in that direction…

Hi @Jacob Bartlett, this is the cog in the top-right between the "?" help drop-down and your profile? What other options do you see there? The URL for this section (at least on Server 7.1.7) is "xxxx.com/secure/admin/ViewStatuses.jspa"

Hi @Jacob Bartlett, I think it's still in the same place - select "Issues" from that 'cog' drop-down instead of "Projects" and look for "Statuses" under the 'Issue Attributes' header. Note that this is an instance-wide setting, so going to the administration section of a particular project isn't going to help.

I was able to clear the epic link field when auto-creating sub-tasks by adding the following: checkLink = {link -> link.issueLinkType.name != "Epic-Story Link"}

Thanks for this @activetr; spent hours looking for a better solution, but apparently reordering the statuses is the only way to tackle this. One word of warning - start with the number of moves low and work your way up. I started off with 120 moves at once but apparently our instance felt that was just too much to cope…
