@Douglas Gaskell You can also add a color ribbon on the cards within the board configuration. On the board, click the ... or Board settings button. Select Card Colors from the left Menu, then select the context you want to use for those colors, such as Issue Type, Priorities, Assignee or Queries, where you can write a JQL…

@AB Ok, I've been looking around and with a bit of an assist by @Jack Brickey, I think I may have an answer for you. There are two different areas you can be in when you log in. One is Atlassian Home and one is Confluence. You can tell which you are in by the icon on the upper left. if I am logged into the Atlassian Home…

Thanks AB! And welcome to the community. I did want you to know that this is being escalated to the product team, for more information on why these controls are missing. It may take some time for an answer, but I will update here as soon as I hear back. In the mean time, I'll keep an eye out for a solution or work around.

https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/update @[deleted] is correct, 7.0.9 isn't there. It jumps from 7.0.5 to 7.0.10. Release notes mention not installing 7.0.8, if you are using MySQL for your JIRA database and to use 7.0.9 instead.…

@AB I can confirm those setting for control of what emails are sent, just seem to be flat out missing, I've looked extensively through my cloud instances and cannot find anywhere central to manage my watch settings. I did find these changes in the the Atlassian Cloud Changes documentation, that talk about changing to the…

For Jira Cloud, that post-function is native and does not require a plug to use.
-
Hi! This is somewhat dependent on what version of Jira you are trying to install. Here are some links to the requirements, for different versions just select from the drop down. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/jira-applications-installation-requirements-802592164.html…

@Ameer. Hello and welcome! Glad to have you among us.
-
@Prakhar Jagariya Do you get any sort of error, or do they just not show up as an option to add?
-
@Prakhar Jagariya You need to also make sure that they have Browse Project in the Permission Scheme
-
I think that could be fun :D
-
@Hema TB You're very welcome! If you found one of our answers to be super helpful, could you please mark it Accepted as a Solution, by selecting the Grey Check next to the answer?
-
@Fazila Ashraf Good check there!
-
Also, if you are not changing those status in anyway, Jira is smart enough to know that you will want to keep the issues in the Closed status from the Old Work flow to the New. You won't have to map that status. If you were removing the Closed status and putting in a status called Done you would have to do the mapping…

You can click on the grey check mark next to an answer to set it as an accepted solution. @Mikael Sandberg's answer solved your issue, so click the check next to his.
-
@Sheri Glad you found the solution!
-
@Sheri Bulk Changes are a Global permission. They are found under Settings System Global Permissions Make bulk Changes. Make sure you are in one of those groups or use the Add Permission at the bottom of the page to add a group.

I predict that the team with the most goals will win the game ;-) and just for a fun guess, I'll say Croatia.
-
Awesome!

What sort were you fishing for? I grew up doing a lot of lake fishing. *edited grep up....only some sort of linux geek would make that typo :D

Depending on how many projects you have, it could be a fair amount of effort to restructure, but it will very much ease the maintenance. I will see if I can find some videos or docs the show more simple set ups.
-
I've been doing this for about 3 years too, and there are still things that are super vexing. I came into a very old established installation and have spent a lot of time getting things to function with global design in mind. We still have oddities floating about, but it is so much more manageable, than when I started with…

This does a pretty good job of explaining Project Roles. It's an outside source. https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/practical-jira-administration/9781449309701/ch01.html
-
This is one of the more frustrating things to get a handle on when you are new to Jira. There are other things that get sticky, but this is the one you likely encounter first and it isn't really the most intuitive thing, especially if you come at it with the idea that it has to be customized specifically per project. It…

Here is what I mean by using Project Roles and Groups in your Permission Schemes. The only Group we use in our Default permission scheme, which we use for 60+ projects in a 110 project environment, is jira-administrators, and that's mostly just a visual separation for us. We could totally assign jira-administrators to the…
-
@Stuart Zahn You might want to take a look at this KB article about large imports. It seems that if your import is over 1GB there is recommendations from Atlassian about doing it in smaller sections, when importing into Jira Cloud.…

@Mirek That was totally it. I turned off the connection to the marketplace and *bam* works. So seems like I am getting info from the market place connection, because I get the notice about the plugin updates and I can install the plugins from the market place, but anything outgoing is blocked, so it times out waiting for…

Awesome, my group has been asking for communications/sharing platform for a while, and I have been avoiding Facebook or Linkedin groups because of difficulty in managing them.
-
Thanks @Scott Theus I had a bit of an incomplete thought there!
-
A simple thing to check, look to see that project role Administrators, the group they are in, or the individual has Browse Project permissions for that project. Best for it to be the project role, it makes the project permissions dynamic and easier to maintain, but it's possible to add groups or individuals.
