My bet is that it's the chrome extension that is doing that then... Try disabling that extension and see if it goes...

I know for sure dashcards don't do that and I am pretty sure Bulk Actions wouldn't either. You could try disabling power-ups in turn and see if it disappears. Do you have any Trello related Chrome extensions?

The most effective way to do this is to link Trello and Slack, they have in-built integrations... Other than that, there are Power-ups like Board Chat by Tiny Power-ups Club or email integrations such as Email for Trello by Sendboard
