Oh @Pierson For you, I have workaround 2 😁
-
It is down and Atlassian are aware, I am sure it'll be up and running again... https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello-questions/Is-Trello-Down/qaq-p/2548034

Hmmm, a software company that doesn't embrace open collaboration. This is rare I must admit. I propose in that instance that you have a board per developer and a main board in the backend. You use automation to hand cards over from the back end board to the correct developer. This process can be automated

I posted an update here, Atlassian are working on it and I'm sure it'll be sorted soon. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello-questions/Is-Trello-Down/qaq-p/2548034 In the meantime, I propose a workaround...

https://trello.status.atlassian.com/incidents/gtyfsmrpb4nc They are working on it... Take the time to go for a walk, cut your toenails, meditate, write some ideas down on paper 😉

If you are using the linked cards feature, you could move that functionality to the "child" card and use a due date automation to make it happen...
-
Yes, I understand that part but for the card you have authorised, will they be looking to put comments, add files or make changes to the card?
-
Do you need the person to comment, respond and interact with the card??
-
Do let me know if you have any specific questions
-
I'm not sure what is the actual question here?! You transfer a board to the employee and then you are surprised that he can see the board?? If I have interpreted it correctly, you mean can you transfer a board to someone and hide certain cards or lists from them? The simple answer is no, for good reason too. Trello is an…

On MacOS app, first thing to try is this: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/troubleshooting-for-the-desktop-app-windows-and-macos/#Reset-local-data

As a child, I was fascinated by horror films and was watching the usual suspects (most mentioned already) way before I should. My Dad's friend owned a video rental store so I could pretty much get anything I wanted and I made good use of that. Now, as an adult, these films have no effect on me whatsoever. A lot of them…

Hi @arfel kaven lansin This article should help you: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/changing-an-email-address/

Hi @Cindy Stella It is worth looking into possibility of enhancing the Trello capabilities with a power-up. Hipporello would be worth taking a look at. These allow you to be in control of the data on the Trello board (backend) but your incoming students would view through a web portal. @Çiğdem Büyükaşik may be able to…

👍Or URL in a custom field, description or checklist would work...

Hi @Alec Ellsworth Firstly, you wouldn't require putting the word found inside the {{...}} Secondly,Trello automation lacks the capability to reference source card custom field names but there is a workaround... Firstly, create a user account specifically designed to run automations. I call mine bots, I'll…

Great article @Çiğdem Büyükaşik Client facing capability is one of the top requests I get so this is an excellent solution

I love the Trello support team, they do an amazing job but I have to say, thats a pretty lame answer. We know it doesn't exist but it really should exist! Sorry I couldn't be more help at this stage but if I get a working solution with the Trello API, I'll be straight back on here to let you know. Mike

Hi @Katherine Williams To back up what Brittany says, I would say you should take charge of your data and backups... https://www.atlassian.com/legal/cloud-terms-of-service#:~:text=WE%20ARE%20NOT%20RESPONSIBLE%20FOR%20ANY%20OF,THOSE%20OF%20OUR%20THIRD%20PARTY%20SERVICE%20PROVIDERS.

Hi @CJ Gormley Not easily and to be honest it was part of my inspiration behind creating this article: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello-articles/Mikes-Trello-Tips-Parent-Child-Card-Linking/ba-p/2418149 Take a look and see whether creating a parent/child approach will fit for you and unlock additional capability.…

Trello changed this not so long ago and to be honest have made a mess of it. It is far more complicated now and the old options that are still in the linked documentation don't exist: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/creating-and-managing-butler-commands/#Share-Automation-buttons I recommend reporting this as a…
-
Hi @Kathryn Miller Are you sure you don't have any other automations running? One way to check is to look in the card activity log to see if the date was set by automation, specifically looking for the via butler tag

You don't have to look much farther than Atlassian for this. They offer this free course: Trello Fundamentals - How to use Trello

Hi @VICTOR HUGO BUENO SILVA The Trello support team can almost certainly help you with this. Use https://trello.com/contact#/ and select account issues as the option

Hi @Miguel Guajardo @Quells T Although Atlassian folk in the Trello team browse and contribute to this community, to ensure they are aware were of this, please can you report it as a bug here: https://trello.com/contact#/

Custom fields are unique at a board level so you can have different custom fields from your main board to back end. How custom fields work is that if you move or copy a card with from board A to board B with custom fields completed (they have data in them), they will then exist on Board B. The key is to ensure any custom…

Hi @Nikola Dziknic Is this on the web, windows app, MacOS app. iOS or Android?

Hi, As a Trello consultant who works with hundreds of automations for many clients, I really feel you pain. Unfortunately, I don't expect it to ever change. I use command libraries to help organise things a little better and reduce the 1 by 1 duplicating of automations. If you aren't already, I advise looking into using…
