Hi @Anette Unger, as you say, we can only choose one project at a time in the "Create Version" action, so that's why I have 3 separate "Create Version" actions in my rule (please see my screenshot above). The rule is a global rule which has to be set up to operate on all the relevant projects, e.g: HTH, Kel

Thanks @Fabio Racobaldo _Catworkx_ great idea! I used the Compare plugin in Notepad++ to compare the two XML files - works brilliantly! Thanks again, Kel
-
@Nick Haller @Tanguy Crusson With all due respect, I have to ask what's going on? I now see 4 fields with an overloaded name - the problem is getting worse, not better. HELP!!!
-
Thanks @Nick Haller ! TBH, I'm not sure I understand what "Gathering Interest" status means if the tickets are internal only.
-
@Andrew Lord Hi Andy, beyond my expertise unfortunately. What happens if you click "Sign in"? Perhaps your Confluence admin can help? :fingers-crossed: Kel
-
@GBE Turns out not to be a naive question at all. JWM projects have features like calendars and forms (there may be others) which are not available to Jira Software projects, which is really unfortunate.
-
Atlassian support opened https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-935 on my behalf (I don't seem to be able to access the ticket Bill linked above. Please vote and subscribe.
-
@Ravi Kanth Another approach would be to restrict the permission to create versions to a small group of Jira admins who know how to follow the naming convention, and make everyone else open a Jira ticket to ask them to create a new version.
-
Hi @Raj Vora We originally did this on server, but we migrated to cloud a couple of years ago so I don't have current info. Worth a shot though.
-
Hi @Raj Vora, it's pretty straightforward. My recollection is that there used to be more choices of validators on our Cloud Jira system, but at the moment it seems like the most restrictive validator is the "Permission validator", and the most restrictive option is "Project Administrator". So all you have to do is make…

Hi @Nir Nikolaevsky Thanks for clarifying that. It seems like you've put a lot of thought into adding logic where none is needed. Being able to see the date or clear the date are not radically wrong behaviours, but you've put effort into preventing users from doing either. I get the part about "fuzzy dates", and that's…
-
Thanks @Aaron Morris. I'm guessing it's more of a design choice, since the simple thing would have been to just display the date irrespective of the status. Not a design choice that I subscribe to, but ...

Thanks @Tanguy Crusson !

Hi @Tanguy Crusson, Is there some documentation of the Atlas/Jira Product Discovery integration available somewhere? I had hoped to find it here. Thanks!
-
Hi @John Funk - Cool! Thanks! Hopefully that means "Coming soon to a Jira Cloud instance near you!"
-
@David Goldstein @John Funk So, today I learned ... you can add an existing issue to the list of children of an Epic in a team-managed project - but not in a company-managed project.
-
@Tanguy Crusson Thanks!
-
Hi @Tanguy Crusson I'm site admin, and we have a free license, so I can create them no problem. I was trying to figure out what perms I need to give my product managers so they can create a project. The descriptions I've seen say "Creators can do everything" but that doesn't seem to be quite accurate. Anyway, if they need…
-
Hi @Tanguy Crusson, To be clear, what permission level do you need to create a project? Is that Creator, or do you need to be an admin? (If so, what kind of admin?) Thanks!
-
Thanks @mauricio.groth

My experience is limited, but here's what I've learned so far. I've trialed all three. The one I like the best up to now is: * JQL Search Extensions by AppFire* One-time indexing completed with 24 hours with only a slight hiccup * a lot of functions and aliases to choose from* my favourite is `linkedIssuesOfQuery`, which…

Hi Misty, I have 3 "Create Version" clauses because in our use case, I'm propagating the Release Name from ENG to 3 other projects, i.e., DOC, PM, and REL. HTH, Kel
-
Hi @Tracey Wiech Oh, I don't use Xray, sorry I can't be more help.
-
Hi @Tracey Wiech can you give us some more context? Jira filters return Jira tickets. Are you mapping Test Cases to Jira tickets or what? What are the attributes of these Jira tickets? Thanks,
-
Hi @Omri Zeman, yes, I think you need to add an ELSE clause to fill in the other values. I can't validate it because I'm on cloud and it doesn't work quite the same way. There are other examples that show the use of ELSE.
-
Thanks @Romy Greenfield and @Marco Brundel. Does anyone have any experience with JQL Tricks or AppFire's JQL Search Extensions? Thanks again,
-
Ah, I think your screenshot above is for a team-managed project, I don't see that option on my company-managed projects. When you're looking at a scrum/kanban board, look at the bottom of the left nav bar, and you should see whether you're looking at a team-managed project or a company-managed project.
-
Hi @Izla Kesler when you say "manually clear them" do you mean you want to be able to manually toggle a filter on and off? If so: * If your project is company-managed, that's called a Quick Filter, and here's how your board admin can create one:* click on the ... at the top right of the board * click on Board settings *…

Then add the new workflow to the workflow scheme for the project to associate it with the relevant issue type.

Structure by Tempo is one of the add-ons you could use instead of upgrading to Jira Software Premium. We've used it successfully for several years. We found it to be more adaptable to our process than Advanced Roadmaps, and their support and development teams are very responsive. Check the website in my profile for more…
