Hi Boris, we were on Confluence Server 6.13.4 and avono PlantUML for Confluence 6.31, so the above was the only way I could get the diagrams to display after we migrated to cloud. Kel

I'm able to add diagrams using the `/PlantUML` macro in "new" editor pages. I wasn't able to do that in "old" editor pages. For each page with a PlantUML diagram: * I copied and pasted the code from the diagrams in the old editor page to a temporary code block somewhere * Then I converted the old page to the "new" editor *…

Hi Flemming, I'm running into similar issues, you might want to raise tickets for these at: https://stratusaddons.freshdesk.com/support/home
-
Thanks Alexander, It looks like that would work if I were trying to create the same set of subtasks every time, but that's not the problem I'm trying to solve. I'm looking for a solution that allows the user to input the specifics of a variable number of subtasks in a simple text format. The CSV Importer supports this,…

Hi Alex, Structure makes this quite straightforward. You would: * define an "insert" generator with some JQL to pull in the epics you're interested in * define an "extend" generator to pull in stories etc under each epic * define an "extend" generator to pull in sub-tasks under each story etc You can then define one or…

Hi Jonathan, in my experience, out-of-the-box Jira doesn't really handle this effectively. Our use case is similar to yours, and we've addressed it very successfully using Structure for Jira. I recommend it very highly!
-
Thanks Rick, that helped !

Late to the party but the Structure add-on by ALM Works supports this and a whole lot more. We've used it for over 5 years and found it very effective. Atlassian Marketplace page for Structure

Hi Bob, late to the party, but for anyone looking for the second part of the question ... On my system (JIRA Software Server v7.13), you can use the following field names in filters (if you have Time Tracking enabled): * originalEstimate * remainingEstimate * timeSpent See…

This now works "out of the box" in Scriptrunner for JIRA 5.5.5 ! Thanks Adaptavist, this makes life easier for JIRA admins !
-
As an aside, I didn't see a link from the article to this community page - adding one might be a good way to encourage more discussion. Thanks

Hi Max, how do you implement Initiatives ? Are you using Portfolio ? Thanks.

JIRA 7.5 Release Notes say it's there :-( https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-7-5-x-release-notes-934719297.html

Something like this just happened to me, and it turned out to be an issue which was moved from another project, and which landed in an unexpected status which wasn't mapped to the board. Not sure how the issue landed in this unexpected status - perhaps it was as a result of the move ? Once we noticed that, it was…

One of our users just encountered this, it turned out to be because he tried to save a page which included an emoji.

We learned from Dirk's post and took a slightly different approach: We added post-functions to our Create, Done, Close and Reopen transitions in our Sub-Task workflow to update a custom field called "Open Task Count": We use Story Points as our estimation statistic so that we can track velocity sprint over sprint, but we…

See also: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-11623. Coleen Adams suggested adding the issue types to the filter, which worked around the problem we were having.

So, it does apparently freeze the column headings and even the swimlane names, which is excellent ! So the only thing left to ask would be to freeze the quick filters line as well. Thanks !

+1 for Justin's answer - create a status called "In Triage" or something, and make it the first column on your Rapid Board. I also agree with him that setting up a Triage project is more complicated, and doesn't offer any advantage over an "In Triage" status.

Thanks Nic. Can you point to some documentation which explains how JIRA Software separates the permissions for resolving issues and the permissions for updating fixVersion when using boards ? The following link suggests that nothing has changed with respect to Resolve Issues Permission -…
-
Can anyone elaborate ? I found the following link which isn't that helpful - according to this, adding an issue to a version now requires Edit Issues Permission, which is again, a pretty global permission with overloaded semantics.
-
Hi Martin, thanks for your note. I'm not sure this is it, but we'll keep an eye on it.
-
This issue was reported as improvement request GHS-8975, and resolved as "not planned at this time".

Tom, thanks for your answer. My apologies, I haven't explained myself well. The point I was trying to make is that combining filters is not necessarily intuitive - if you turn on both a "Show Dan's Issues" filter and a "Show Bill's Issues" filter, would you expect to see both Dan's and Bill's issues ? Thanks.
-
There were already at least 3 issues opened for this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-21401 https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-22067 https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-22068 These have all been closed as won't fix.

The Created vs Resolved Show Unresolved Trend should show this but it doesn't. Instead of calculating how many bugs are actually open on a given day, as I understand it, it arbitrarily assumes that the number of defects is zero at the beginning of the period. Thus, it can tell you that, in the last 42 days, you've resolved…

One way is to use the LocalTab Group and LocalTab macros. You can either open the Insert pulldown, choose Other Macros, and then select LocalTab Group from the page. Then, insert one or more LocalTabs in the same way. Or, type {Local in the body of your page, and autocomplete will suggest the LocalTab Group and LocalTab…

Back up and running. Thanks again.
