Hi @Andra - thanks for letting us know. Have fixed the link!

Hi @Petr Vaníček I'd love to connect with you regarding your recent and current experience with your customers on moving between Cloud and Server - the process as well as your view on where performance is working well and not so well. Let me know if you're up for it and I'll come back to you with a way for us to connect.…
-
@Alistair Eldred - I can't provide an ETA as yet, but we just shipped the ability to export the roadmap as an image - see Next-gen release notes for Jira Software
-
@Peter Nguyen - that will only work on Classic boards. The next-gen boards do not currently support parallel sprints. It's very project centric at the moment, but from here on you'll see the team adding more sophisticated ways to manage work.
-
@James Graham - yes it is possible to do that by first creating a filter, and then a board based on that filter. Jump down to where it says "To create a Scrum or Kanban board based on filters". It sounds like you've already done that, so I suspect the reason it isn't showing is that the statuses haven't been mapped to your…

@Jeremy Steuhl we're looking into this and understand why you needed it. We're taking small steps there, such as removing completed epics from the default view. A few customers have also requested a view on epic progress with visibility into it's child issues. We're still figuring out how to balance the need to give you…

@Sjef van Wezel Glad to hear that we’re getting close! I’m pleased to tell you that the kind of benefits you were getting with tabs to group fields that you’re missing with the new issue view is coming soon.
-
Hi @Marton Sarkadi, We’re currently looking into whether we make time tracking any different to how it is implemented in Classic, but at the moment the focus is on delivering sub-tasks. Are you using any other external tools to track times such as Hubstaff or Tempo? Are you using it purely for estimation and tracking…
-
@Fowler Thanks & noted. We're working hard to get subtasks to you and later on a way to help move over existing issues & subtasks.
-
I've re-uploaded the images so they should be fixed now.
-
@Jonathan Chatwin - thanks for reporting the problem. We'll get the images fixed. Which image do you think you're most interested in seeing?
-
@Alf Prøven thanks for the question! We can't give specific times on when it will be released just yet, but I can tell you that it is in development. We've heard a lot of next-gen users request subtasks to help them break down and track work in smaller individual increments. We'll also be adding in the ability to add…

Hi @Tal Levi,I’ve put together some commentary for you on the other items in your postNext Gen Project Improvements:* Opening an issue from the board should keep it in the board, instead of sending it to the backlog. - when you open (create?) an issue on the board (using the new inline create), it should definitely stay on…
-
Hi @Tal Levi,Thanks for taking the time to publish this post. Love your ideas.Let me have a go at answering you on the first 11 items,1. Save issue drafts - while we don't have plans to introduce a draft state when creating a new issue, you will find that after you have created, we have upgraded the editor on the new issue…
-
@Esther Strom - good spotting. You can indeed star projects, boards, filters and dashboards directly on the page, except for issues which can only be starred from the navigation drawer. We're working on bringing this more into the issue so make it more accessible.
-
Hi @Denny Raphael - can't say at the moment. Our Jira Server team is closely watching the feedback on Cloud to guide what features they will deploy next. Server is currently balancing more on performance, administrative control, and team productivity in Jira. For more, please check out the Jira Server keynote at the most…

Hi @Gregory J. Murphy, It is not possible to completely disable the next-gen templates from being created. The closest is what you've already implemented with the permissions change for non-admins. Admins will continue to have the ability to create projects and have access to the full list of available templates, including…
-
@Matt Doar glad you're understanding the approach we're taking here. Just re-sharing the approach here for the benefit of the others reading the comments in this AMA - we've gone for the simplest use cases to start with, to address those who could never really get into Jira quickly. Our mission is to make these new…
-
@Gregory J. Murphy, It's not possible to assign a project category to a next-gen project but we're been getting a number of requests for this and are considering it.
-
Hi @Raheel Dharolia, Next-gen project configuration is completely contained within the project and will not impact any other configuration. The introduction of next-gen should not have affected the permissions setup for your Classic projects. Classic projects do not have the Access level setting you see in next-gen as they…
-
@Josh Allen - I should also add, that as a site admin, you still have visibility to private projects. You will be able to see them if you search or navigate to them in the list of all projects. You will however not be able to access the data within them, given that they have been set to private.
-
Hi @Kelley Lawton, Yes we'll need to make sure those work and yes there will be a way to save filters - that's what I was mentioning above how we'll make that more user friendly through a basic filter kind of interface We will start with a more user friendly interface - similar to say basic mode in issues search (which…
-
@Mirek - I didn't cover your performance concern... The product has been rearchitected for Cloud and performance is a big area we are investing in. We have setup a performance index for top used features, and have already achieved a 25% improvement on our performance index metrics. One of the highlights has been a 40%…
-
Hi @Mirek and @Nilesh Patel, I hear you on the confusion and disappointment that these features are still TBD for Server and not released at the same time and so I'd like to try and explain what's going on there. Prior to 2017 the code base for Server and Cloud were the same and so development was carried out in lock-step.…
-
Hi @David Hall, For Classic projects, you will find that most of the new view issue will be backwards compatible. The screens will still pop in the same way. What will change however is the layout of the data on the screen. Can you tell me what specific screens are missing that you configured and expected to see on the new…
-
Hi @Oskar Collin, In next-gen projects, all the statuses that are available are represented on the board. For example, the way to create a new status is to add a new column to the board. Since there are no statuses that are not present on the board, there is no way to have an additional status right now that is only…
-
@[deleted] what I meant there is to confirm with your team that next-gen has the capabilities you need before making the move "Try before you buy". So yes, please confirm things like the necessary issue types and their custom fields are there. If you find a missing custom field, you would want to know about that before…
-
Hi @Walter Buggenhout, Yes, thanks for understanding. That's exactly where we are now with advice on when to use next-gen projects, vs expected future capabilities. I can't give a timeframe on the cross-project views at the moment other than to say that it is further out than the items you see on the public roadmap. For…
-
Hi @Josh Allen I understand your concern. We shipped the next-gen projects with 3 basic access levels and as an admin you must have access to a project created with private access. In the future we may consider adding additional access levels or enhancing the existing access levels based on customer feedback.

Hey @[deleted], I'm afraid I'm not an expert on all the apps in our Marketplace and it sounds your question would need Big Picture involvement. Marketplace vendors provide support and community links in their profiles so I would recommend you reach out to Big Picture directly…
