It's easy, change the condition to this: if (issue.getCustomFieldValue(lobCf).getValue() == "CIO")
-
From your description it seems that this whole condition is not working: if (issue.getCustomFieldValue(lobCf) == "CIO") Can you double check and confirm that your "Lob" field type is a free text field and not a select list or anything?
-
Sure thing, Check this documentation on how to work with workflow post functions.

Hi Radha, The reason why an issue appears cossed out on your board is because it has a value set in its 'Resolution' field. Normally a resolution is set when you move an issue to your "Done" status. You either set it manually through a transition screen or automatically through a post function. Now why an issue is still…

It seems that your projects are sharing one workflow scheme, which means that if you change your workflow in one project it will affect all other projects, becasue all your other projects are using the same workflow. The solution here would be to use a separate workflow shceme/workflow in your new project. Check out this…

Also, can you double check that custom field IDs that you have used are valid? I've managed to reproduce this error by intentionally using a non-existing custom field ID for 'request participants' field.
-
That's really odd. Just checked, works fine on my end. Can you please show the complete code as you have it on your end?
-
Ok then, let's get this show on the road, shall we? I'm going to assume your Jira version is 7.x. Use this code to give your "Employees" group the exact same role membership as your "Staff" group: import com.atlassian.jira.bc.projectroles.ProjectRoleService import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor import…
-
Hi Michael, First thing to note is that role membership can vary from project to project. So you can't just say "Give me the names of all project roles, where "Staff" group is located" simply because this group can be in, say, "Developers" role in Project A but not in this very role in Project B. With that in mind,…

Sorry, my mistake, I've actually made a typo in this line: issue.setCustomFieldValue(reqParCf, requestParticipants) It should be like this: issue.setCustomFieldValue(reqPartCf, requestParticipants) For posterity I've also fixed this typo in my initial answer.

Hi Alexandra, It seems to me that your code is way too complicated for a task as simple is this. Try using this code instead: import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor import com.atlassian.jira.user.util.UserManager import com.atlassian.jira.user.ApplicationUser import…

@Yogi Patel Great news! Glad I could help. Please mark this solution as "Accepted" if it resolved your issue.
-
Hi Mani, Here's how you update a component list for a given issue: def componentns = issue.getComponents() components.add(newComponent) projectComponentManager.updateIssueProjectComponents(issue, components)

Hi Michael, I think this is totally doable with scripting, which however requires using 3rd party addons. The general idea is that you could create a custom text field for example or a scripted field and then use scripting to extract you custom date field data (old value, new value, date of change, who changed it, etc)…
-
Hi Trudy, Here's how you do it: import com.opensymphony.workflow.InvalidInputException import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor def cfValues = issue.getCustomFieldValue(ComponentAccessor.getCustomFieldManager().getCustomFieldObjectByName("Planned Spend Percentage")) if (cfValues < 1 || cfValues > 100) { throw…

Hi Sergio, Your code is very confusing. First off, 'any' closure returns a boolean value. Looking at your code both 'issuelinkPJ' and 'ORstatus' variables will have a 'false' value. Then you are trying to compare them, boolean values, with string values ('OR' and 'Blocked'). Naturally it simply doesn't work like this.…

Hi Tom, I assume you are using standard JSD approvals, which are available out of the box, yes? When you configure an approval for your workflow you choose a 'user picker' type field for Jira to pick approvers from. This is ther person/people who will get a notification that an issue is waiting for their approval when that…
-
Hi Laura, Could you please explain how exactly are you trying to achieve this? If I had to do something like this my goto option would be a workflow post function. I'm not sure if a post function to create linked issues is available in Jira out of the box however, so you might wanna check out various 3rd party addons which…
-
Hi Ron, Speaking from my experience I'm mostly using that field for scripting. For example when you want to give a user a unique "flag" and then use it in various scenarios like workflow conditions or post functions. Another example, I used in Jira Service Desk to add a personal phone extention number for each agent. Then…

It's the usual thing with Scriptrunner's Static Type Checking not always being accurate. In this very case you can either simply ignore this error - the code will work just fine. Or you can declare argument types like so, to make the error go away: linkMgr.createIssueLink((Long)11111, (Long)22222, (Long)33333, (Long)1,…

Could you post some screenshots of this behaviour? Perhaps I'm missing something here.
-
Ok, assuming we are talking about a scripted field, here's what you do: return issue.getComponents().collect{it.getComponentLead()} Make sure you choose "User Picker (multiple users)" template when creating your scripted field. Also set the field's searcher to "User Picker & Group Searcher". If this you need a post…

I'm afraid there's no connection between an attachment and a comment. However I see two potential workarounds: 1) Check the body of each comment for the attachment name OR 2) Scan issue history for the time when your attachment was added. Then check the creation time of your comments and see if you'll find a match.

Hi Yogi, I might be able to help you here, but first please advise what is the version of your Jira? Cheers.

Hi Erik, To clarify, every 'service desk' type project comes with a portal which cannot be turned off. That said, what you CAN do is hide all requests for a certaian project (standard JSD feature). That way, even though your customers will technically be able to access the portal for that project, they wont be able to…
-
Hi Aaron. This is very odd. First off, for a ticket to be displayed on the portal at all it should have its 'customer request type' field filled, so you might wanna double check your issues. As for 'Opened' and 'Closed' tickets, it's rather simple. A ticket is considered 'Opened' if it has no resolution set. If it does…
-
Hi Josh, If I had to do something like that, then I'd create a scripted field which would be populated by user properties' values. Then simply display that field in your search results just like any other field.
