Hi Amit.Jaggi@macquarie.com This is how I see the software development workflow part you are having trouble: * The code is committed * A Bamboo plan compiles it and a set of tests is run * The code is reviewed * The code is merged into master or the main branch * The code is deployed* It could be deployed to a test…

Hi @Parth Jeet I see there is an ongoing investigation open by you in our support system. I think that is the best channel when a deeper investigation is needed. If you don't mind, please share the resolution when you have it, so we can help other users that might face the same issue. Thank you!

Hi @[deleted] I'm afraid that is a maven configuration issue. I was able to run that script and get successful results using both M2_HOME and M3_HOME variables. Have you tried running those two command lines in your Bamboo agent machine directly using the terminal? What is the result you get?
-
Hi @Parth Jeet Currently (Bamboo 6.8 and older versions) it is not possible to create linked repositories from JAVA specs. What you can do is creating a plan repository. You can see more details about this and some examples of code here: Bamboo Java Specs Reference - Repositories If you want to generate a full code example…

Hi @Kailash I don't really know much about Scala or SBT, all I know is that you can generate JAVA opcodes from it and then use the jar on JAVA virtual machines. As far as I can tell you should be able to use the same process used for any JAVA app delivered using Bamboo. Even for JAVA we don't have a document with best…

Hi @[deleted] I'm glad that you could work this out adjusting the JAVA installation. I suggest you pinging our Bitbucket community for the second issue. See you in the next thread!
-
Hi @[deleted] Thank you for providing the data we needed to understand your issue. Bamboo does not support JAVA 11 and therefore you will need to install a supported JAVA version as per Supported platforms - Atlassian Documentation. Please try: * Stop Bamboo process * Install JAVA JDK 1.8 * Make sure the JAVA_HOME is…

Hi @David Mellick Can you share part of the build log where you see this issue? Some thoughts: * Absolut path where a relative one should be used? * Bamboo variable wrongly referenced? * Scripting issue?
-
Hi @Christian Palacios I'm wondering if this issue is not caused by server capabilities. You should be able to get the same or pretty similar results if you compare a Bamboo build and an OS terminal build/IDE. Things I would check: * What is the agent running this build? Is it able to build the code from outside Bamboo? *…

Hi @Dchosen Have you tried this reference? * How to Configure JIRA Webhook to Trigger Bamboo Build There you will find the post you can do with curl to trigger the latest build of a plan. I'm not the right resource to help you with script runner question so I'll leave that one open for other contributors.

I'm really glad that we could nail this one together. I hope things go smooth now. Thank you for sharing your findings here. This will be certainly helpful to other users. Have a good one! See you in the next thread.

Hi @Thomas Leitner For some reason, I missed your update from Wednesday, sorry about that. I'm glad that you found out at least where the problem is located. Thank you very much for sharing your findings here and accepting this answer. Have a good one!

Hi @kettch Reading your message I'm led to think that this problem is not consistent. I mean, it does not happen every time. We will need to isolate better what is causing this issue. I was able to reproduce it only when deleting the file bamboo-agent.cfg.xml which is the file who handles the agentUuid. This forces the…

Hi @[deleted] I can see an error which is caused by a missing Jfrog class when the plugin was running. It usually is related to an installation issue or even a bug. Class not found: org.jfrog.build.extractor.listener.ArtifactoryBuildListener Suggestion to move forward: Check if the add-on is compatible * Find the add-on…
-
Hi @Qasim Ishaq The error you shared happens when there are multiple Bamboo processes running in the same machine using the same installation path. I suppose that you got into this problem after facing a different issue and trying to spin up Bamboo again. You can check if you have other Bamboo process running by using this…
-
Hi @kettch I think I got it now. So you use Ansible to install the agent and set the startup script to load it by creating a <Agent>.plist file on /Library/LaunchAgents. I just tested the script creation as you described and restarted it multiple times (both agent and server) and didn't get the same result as you. The…
-
Hi @kettch Thank you for sharing a detailed description of your problem. If I understood you correctly you are using Ansible now to start your agents. * Do you mind sharing the configuration used for that? * What is the command run by ansible to start the agent? * Can you also share what is the Bamboo version used?

Hi @Deepali W Each Bamboo instance will have a different encrypted result for the same password. It depends on the instance encryption keys. At the moment we are missing a REST API to generate the encrypted data you need in your specs project. There is a feature request for this at [BAM-20131] Rest API endpoint to encrypt…

Hi @headerfile This happens by design. In most cases, it won't make sense to get an artifact from a failed build. Depending on the failure the artifact won't even be published. I do think the simpler way is to make sure your prior build plan succeeds before trying to run the plan that will consume the artifact. You could…

Thank you for sharing such complete and referenced answer @Steffen Opel _Utoolity_

Hi @Pedro Martins I can talk about the Bamboo side of things. You can use Bamboo to automate any building environment, the only difference is that for some of them like JAVA we already have some tasks (as wrappers) to simplify your life. In your case, you will need to use script tasks to call your builders and external…
-
Hi @Pedro Costa Can you please check if you are using the correct JAVA version (probably JAVA 1.8) depending on your Bamboo installation? In case you are, can you please check what is the first error or warning you get when you start Bamboo? if there is any happening before the logs you shared.
-
Hi @[deleted] Yes, you can and yes, you need a remote agent on a MAC to be able to use the OSX environment and tools to build/test your application. Bamboo could be running on Linux or on OSX too, what matters for your build is the agent where it is running.
-
You are welcome, guys!
-
Hi @Starkey DevOps You are not able to find a way because there is no REST API endpoint for that in Bamboo. You will need to use the UI. I've created a feature request to create an endpoint for this as you can see here: [BAM-20325] Create a REST API endpoint to move plans. In case you want to know how we prioritize and…

Hi @Chris Isaacson We don't actually use application links for communication between Bamboo and Bitbucket Cloud, although do use for Bitbucket Server. This is how you can configure your linked repository from Bitbucket Cloud: * Linking Bitbucket Cloud source code repositories- Atlassian Documentation Let me know if you can…
-
That is great @Peter N Thank you for updating this thread when you found out the issue.
-
Hi @Tempfli Gellért You need to use the full capability key to make it work. When the requirement is configured through the UI, even though there is just a name there, it has the right key loaded in the background (DB). When using this type of configuration in specs you need to provide the right key. I'll open a request to…

Hi @HitBar, The post you shared talks about a problem between Bamboo and Bitbucket cloud. Are you facing an issue with Bitbucket Cloud or Bitbucket Server? I don't get where you would use the Bamboo IP for that configuration. Can you explain it a little more? If this issue is with Bitbucket cloud: * Are you able to load…
