Dear @Devin Sijan , Core and Software have always the same versions just Service Desk uses a different versioning. Best you use the Jira Software release. Core is included. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Jose_Salvador_Covarrubias_Olivares , unfortunately, that breaches the concept of SD. This would reveal the inner organisations employee structure. You can't do. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Devin Sijan , It seems that you have 2 separate installations. One older with Core and another with Software, right? The recommended upgrade path would be 7.3.1 -> 7.6.17 -> 7.13.12 -> 8.5.3 -> latest. or 7.12.0 -> 7.13.12 -> 8.5.3 -> latest. Eventually you could skip 7.6.17, but its more save to jump to enterprise…

Dear @fkarraz , have you had a look in the logs? $JIRA_HOME/log/atlassian-jira.log. Any Warnings or errors? So long Thomas
-
Dear @Jean-Pierre Caron , its same for V2. If this not enough, I request you to ask the more detailed developer questions at: https://community.developer.atlassian.com/ So long Thomas

Dear @Eugene , We implemented this in a more flexible way (different manager per employee) with Insight. The general problem is, that customers are logically separated from licensed users in SD. If you manager would be a licensed user, it would be much easier to implement. So long Thomas
-
You can also reuse the old DB. Confluence can handle this.
-
Dear @Eugene , we implement this with Insight Asset Management. Taking users as assets which have supervisors, that get automatically assigned to an approval step. Sorry, but this will not be available on cloud. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Dmitry Borisov , referring to the REST API DOC v2 , its not "name" but "accountId" (see example request). So long Thomas
-
Dear @Eugene , what you plan to do is, to involve a manger for a "signing process". I configured this on an on-premise Jira. Need to have a closer look how this will work on cloud ... Hold-on Thomas
-
Dear @Eugene , "Notification Schemes" respect only JIRA Core/Software and SD Agents, but not customers (that do not consume a license). Is the "particular Manager" a customer? If yes, you need to configure "Custom Notifications". Refer to this link for details. So long Thomas
-
From which version to which? Is 3.16.8. target or origin version?
-
Dear @Erik Thomas Nerland 1) its https://<yourdomain>.atlassian.net:443/ 2) cloud is always SSL encrypted. Authentication works different from server. Follow this link. I recommend to ask more detailed questions on https://community.developer.atlassian.com/ So long Thomas
-
Dear @Kuba_Janus , either it's a bug that went live with constant cloud deployment or the REST API changed. Have you tried to download the latest version of Atlassian's Jira-Java-Client? So long Thomas
-
Dear @Elliot Maltby , if you setup jira on localhost, its possibly the firewall of your client computer, that blocks the access. Can you tell me more details about your setup? Version, OS, network, ... So long Thomas
-
Dear @phuong nghia le pham , I found an old issue, that describes exactly your problem. Eventually you need to contact the support to reopen/investigate it. So long Thomas
-
Dear @charleslcso , the normal upgrade process of Confluence works like this: * backup data including attachments to files system * shut down Confluence * save old CONFLUENCE_HOME folder (rename, so that it does not get overwritten) * install new Confluence version * start new Confluence * use the setup wizard (same db…

Dear @Emanuel Jianu , yes, Have a look at https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/REST/8.5.3/#api/2/reindex-reindex So long Thomas
-
Dear @yerranaresh_jira , without investing in commercial plugins, I recommend to bulk change via REST API. Nevertheless, there is no bulk update function, so you have make one call per issue. See this Doc for details. Let me know when you need more advice. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Salesforce Integration , if it worked before and you didn't change anything in your client rest call, the cause is most probably: The REST API changed. Its a cloud product that continuously changes. Have a look at the API DOC. In the example they do not use "name" for the reporter but it's ID: "reporter": { "id":…
-
Dear @brant_brisson , I checked it on my own and you are right. When "fields" is appended as a parameter, the changelog disappears. I would say, this is the current implementation of the Cloud Rest API. There is nothing wrong. In the REST API doc following is written: Note: All fields are returned by default. This differs…
-
Dear @BayWa IT Workplace Atlassian , have you tried this page? So long Thomas
-
Dear @anusha_s26 , your top-level object (and other objects, too) is an array. This is not API compliant. It has to look like: { update: { ... } transition: { ... } } Have a look at the example. So long Thomas
-
In which programming language do you call the REST API?
-
Dear @Giuseppe_Passino , can you please post you JSON data? So long Thomas
-
Dear @Emanuel Jianu , to block a specific port you can use following command on the host that provides the interface to the users (browsers): iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport <PORT> -j DROP Instead of DROP you could use REJECT. This is more user friendly, because with the DROP the browser will wait until its internal…
-
Dear @Micheal Shallop , this looks like a network/server error or a browser issue. I recommend to clean the browser cache with all login data and restart it. If this does not help and the error consist, I recommend to contact the Atlassian Support. So long Thomas
-
Dear @[deleted] , first have a look at the API-DOC. Important to know: * you need an issue before you can attach * you need to set the header X-Atlassian-Token: no-check * name of the multi part mime type content must be "file". I recommend to probe with curl first, before integrating in salesforce. So long Thomas
-
This is what I expect, but feel free to experiment with the upper URL. As it is a GET you can simply copy&paste into browser. So long Thomas
-
Dear @BayWa IT Workplace Atlassian , have you tried to use "curl" to verify if if it works in general? Or take a rest client that is offered as a extension for browsers. So long Thomas
