Dear @Gooty , I can understand your members about introducing an affects version to epics. "affects", from my understanding, is more intended to be used for bugs. Fixed version for epics: You could also rename this to "Released Versions". Just naming. But in most cases you cannot assign it to exactly one version as it is…

Dear @Bongani Hermans , your question sound a bit like "pure frustration". You have to ask this the Jira Product Management, not the community. Please follow this query and open one or more of the issues. Then you will know more. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Sascha Ziemann , there are commercial plugins available, that offer additional features for workflows. Have a look at https://marketplace.atlassian.com and make use of the evaluation licenses each vendor offers. I will not recommend any, to avoid promoting the product of a specific vendor. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Maria Mike Golda , a) let the PO do this. He/she demanded for new features so he /she should have a high interest to get it inside Jira. b) you can import anything in CSV format (not XLS) that has any kind of header information. In the process of CSV import you are asked to map the CSV columns to the existing field…

Dear @Benjamin W. , I am not fit enough any more for the details of Log4j. So please ask this specific question at https://community.developer.atlassian.com/ again. So long Thomas

Dear @nkhitrov , can you raise this bug here? https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/14 So long Thomas
-
Dear @[deleted] , ok - sound like a bug. If you provide me further Information like product versions, DB vendor, driver. I can try to raise a request in behalf of you. No guarantee. So long Thomas

Dear @Owen Jones , I did this in a similar way to remove a project role relation. A user was deleted from AD. The Integrity Checker Plugin reported this dead reference, but it got invisible in the users and roles tab. Just added the user to the internal user directory, relation got visible again and then I could delete it.…

@Raghu has this question been answered to your satisfaction?
-
Dear @Jeevan Prabakaran , this with "on behalf of ..." will only show up when you go over the portal page of your Service Desk project or you click on "Raise a request" on the left panel. So long Thomas

Dear @Greg Sternberg , there is an article describing a solution for python. Hope you can translate this to Ruby. So long Thomas

Ah! Disconnect AD before deleting from internal directory. Then connect AD again and sync. The user should show up. If not then you have to manipulate the LDAP settings.
-
I know this from experience - not documentation ;) The reason is to keep the confluence-home directory size low. All files in 'temp' are cleaned once a day. The one in backup not.

Dear @Greg Sternberg , just to be sure - you are using Jira Server, correct? Then you can only OAuth or basic auth. Api Token is for cloud, only. Or do you connect against Cloud? So long Thomas

for a) this is simple. * create a new space and be sure only you or any other admin can access * go to the page to hide * click on the 3 dots in the upper right page view * "move" - > select the new space for b): Page Restrictions

Can you paste your server.xml with out un-commented lines, please?
-
Sorry, from your original post I couldn't see that Cloud is your platform. Then you have to rely that the upper topics are handled by Atlassian. At least you could think about the 5th topic. So long Thomas

Please read my article - that could help: How-to setup a secured Jira Software 8 on openSUSE Tumbleweed in less than 30 minutes

Do use the standalone without bundled JRE? Is Oracle JDK uninstalled? Do you start the application with as SystemD script setting JAVA_HOME as "environment"? Edit: Is the JRE/JDK read + executable by the user running Atlassian apps?
-
Dear @Allan Libby , yes I can confirm, running Jira Software 7.13.3 and Confluence 6.15.6 and Jira Core 8.1.x with AdoptOpenJDK (just the JRE) 8 u212. No problems at all - very stable. So long Thomas

Dear @Abhinav Arae , you commented both answers with the same comment, that it doesn't work. So why is the first answer accepted, when it didn't help? What do I miss? Thomas
-
Dear @Jennifer Volpe , before you open your Jira to world consider following: * are you able to upgrade your Jira version with a couple of hours when a security advisory has been published (CVE-2019-11581)? * do you have a team that can monitor 24/7 what's going on (->IDS)? * do you have a enterprise firewall in front of?…

Dear @Jeremy Price , to add a single user (watchman) as a watcher to a page with id 123456: curl -X POST https://my.confluence.net/rest/api/user/watch/content/123456?username=watchman -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "X-Atlassian-Token: no-check" -u admin:pass The user "admin" needs administration privileges for the…

Dear @Tony Palackal , ok. And nothing else you could let us know? Eg. from which version, a screenshot, any log file entries, have you manually checked the application directories (diff of file tree), ... Hope to here soon from you Thomas

Dear @Elizabeth Cavallo , there is a plugin called Sync Jira. I have no experience with this. Anyhow, I would sync both apps on my own. Start with linking one Issue to one page. Then you could read both entities and sync the data using the REST APIs. Just with a nightly cron job. Of cause you need to code this on your own.…
