Dear @Elliot Kim , for Java you have to build the whole request on your own, when not using any SDK. You could do this for example with Apaches HTTPClient. One page that shows some samples. You can just search the web for more examples. So long Thomas

Dear Summer@69 , sure you can. While configuring your agile board you can add custom fields to the issue detailed view. Follow this article for more information. So long Thomas
-
Dear @admin admin , this error is common, when using the REST API and one missed to set the right HTTP header information. In your case it's the browser that should send this headers. Most probably those headers are blocked somehow. Follow this article to get more insights. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Liu Rong , doesn't this new function Batching Notifications cover this issue? Or is this unavailable for JSD? So long Thomas
-
For a) Importing issues For b) To get the history of one issue you need to GET /rest/api/2/issue/{issueIdOrKey}?expand=changelog Depending on what was changed you have to update the issue or transition the issue. See Cloud REST API for details.
-
Dear @Sam Nadarajan , when you already have the user information externally, you could also create those user form external with the REST API: Create Customers So long Thomas
-
Dear @Jon , there is no UNDO function in Jira at all. So you can do two things: a) Backward Fixing: Replay an old dump / restore DB to a time before the bulk or just restore one project to a former status. b) Forward Fixing: Read the history information with REST API and replace all "newvalue" entries with the "oldvalue"…

Dear @Mohammed Safwaan , if you are 100% sure that you didn't change your environment, then Altassian hat modified cloud API. You can raise a support request to clarify. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Rajesh Ramankutty , I assume that you would like to create those issues automatically. With standard Jira functionality, you can create them with the REST API. This means, you have to write a script/program, that fetches XML files from ftp and creates the issues via REST in Jira. All done periodically. Possible -…
-
Dear @Rajesh Ramankutty , where do you want to upload the XML? To an existing issue as attachment? So long Thomas D
-
Dear @Rajendra Singh , I just created 2 issues. One with component AAA, the other with components AAA and BBB. The query component in (AAA,BBB) returned both. So either this is a bug in your Jira or something else is different. My Jira is 7.13.5 So long Thomas
-
Dear @Mohammed Safwaan , postman is pretty fine. So this create attachments does not work, only. Other requests work? I remember that creating attachments for Jira Server via REST was also tricky. The mime part requires a BinaryBody with name "file". So long Thomas
-
Dear @Sam Nadarajan , you simply cannot, because the already created accounts are out of any process. What could work is a kind of a "revoke". When you reset their passwords, they should be get a mail - but not the welcome mail. You could query your already created users from REST API and send them a self-made welcome…
-
Dear @Mohammed Safwaan , just to be sure, as username you use the email address, right. But anyhow, the create issue works. Or is this action allowed to anonymous? How to debug: Try to dump the request you create by java code to some REST client and see if it also does not work. So long Thomas
-
Dear @dachel.cusco no problem, when you migrate the dump to the new server. If its just the license you need to re-issue the license with the new Server ID generated, when starting a Confluence server from scratch. The old server is than not update-able anymore, because the license is bound to exactly one Server ID. So…
-
Dear @Andy , all the files can be pulled by wget or curl command. Figure out the links with the browser (and copy&paste) or see my article links to the binaries and just adapt the version to a newer. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Rodrigo Vieira Machado Prota , well done! Notify-Pull sounds quite good. Anyhow what you implemented is a kind of Kanban. One backlog/todo where everybody can pull issues. Just the prioritization is missing, or? So long Thomas
-
Dear @Mickael , I have no clue about how to do what you described. But I found two suggestions that would cover your requirement. CONFSERVER-45505 CONFSERVER-40684 Vote for them - eventually they get implemented, once. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Rodrigo Vieira Machado Prota , state-of-the-art in modern working environments is a shift form push- to pull-thinking. Enable your employees that they take the issues themselves instead of giving them "direct orders". This will lead to more responsibility, better quality and more motivation for the employees. If you…
-
Dear @Holger Klehn , if I had to do what you require, I would: write an external program. that polls the inbox for messages that just got marked as read (that's was JSD does when processing) takes the subject form the mail, searches for issues with parts of this subject via REST API, on issues created in the last 10…
-
Dear @Andy yes, you can. You can follow my article that was written for Jira Software. You have just to note following: * The package management is yum or rpm instead of zypper. The packages should have similar names. * Confluence default port is 8090 - Jira is 8080 * Confluence doesn't read the variable JIRA_HOME - you…

Dear @marty_godsey , yes, at $JIRA_HOME/log/atlassian-jira.log So long Thomas

Dear @Catherine Aldrich , I understand. It should normally work to jump directly to 8.3.0. But if you face troubles, a stop at the Enterprise Release is not the worst idea. Just perform the down time off working hours. that's what I always do on an instance will +2000 users. So long Thomas
-
Dear @Catherine Aldrich , I recommend to upgrade first to Jira Core 7.13.x and then go further. Do this manually without the installer. Install the Apps Software and Service Desk afterwards via UI. So long Thomas

The one and only!
-
Dear @Mickael did you already read the Customizing Email Templates article? So long Thomas
-
Dear @Don Wood , unfortunately this seems not to be possible: JRASERVER-7266. But please vote for this. So long
-
See my upper post.
-
Dear @Don Wood , there are email templates located in the binary tree of Jira. You can modify them to your needs following this article. Note: On an update, they will get overwritten. So make sure to save your modifications with "diff" tool. Then you can apply them later with the "patch" tool (unix/linux). So long Thomas

Dear @Shay Subramanian , you could automate with the REST API(s). Based on a filter, issues are pulled from Jira and a Confluence page is created / updated. This could be done by a scrip triggered weekly by cron. If you have developers at hand, this should be a piece of cake for them. So long Thomas
