Great initiative and a reminder to pick up my ACP-420 exam training again!

Hello Alexander, The e-mail log only shows that is being delivered to your instance. If you need to find out more, please contact Atlassian support and provide them with a time range so that they might be able to see what happened to your e-mail. However, we have enough spam that is being delivered. The maillogs show those…

Hello @Vishnu Vardhan Chenna I am not sure there is a limit in the number of projects you can add to the scope. Just as a personal advice, try to limit the number of projects. If required, duplicate the automation with another scope. This will allow you to make small changes to one scope, without hindering the automation…

Unfortunately, preventing seems to be unavailable. Every Asset is a stand alone object and can have the same name and information in that object. The only way I can think of is checking if the object exists before creating a new one. However, this will have to be done either manually or through the API. How are you…

Hello @Laura Lloret I just gave this a try in my own environment and I am unable to reproduce your issue. When I change the introduction text and press save directly below, the change is immediately reflected on the portal. This is what I have done: * Go to the Project > Project Settings * Select Portal Settings from the…

Hello @Anne Farr Thank you for your question. Populating the organization name through an automation is, unfortunately, not that easy. I have created my fair share of automations but haven't tackled this one before. Fortunately, the community has been around for a while and I have found this article. Populating the…

Hello @Angelie Stephens Great question and I have been all over, in fact, I am now 41 years old and I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up. But, to answer your question; At first I wanted to be a cowboy. Quite interesting since I live in the Netherlands and the only transportation of cows is by truck but…

Hello @Hanah Billups Thanks for the screenshot but I am still not sure what your question is. Issue STAR-1017 seems to pass the condition check and the e-mail is sent out successfully. It fails a few if/else checks but passes on a later one. Therefor, the automation seems to work as intended. Or are you experiencing…

Can you check under Project Settings > Request Types to see if there are any request types that are hidden from the portal?
-
Hello, Thank you for those screenshots. From the looks of it, the automation triggers correctly but the issue does not meet the criteria of the if statements. From what I can see, it looks like the environment might not be set correctly. One way to troubleshoot is to take it one step at a time. Duplicate the automation and…

Hello @Dewa Fakha Shiva I am unaware of a template system and I would suggest that you take a look at creating a template to-do list in a program of choice. Trello can be a great option for this, or a Confluence page (which you could save as a template). Good luck!

Hello @Jori Kuusinen It looks like this is disabled by default. I cannot tell you why and I too would expect this to work. As described in this article you can contact Atlassian support to see if they can help you activate this.
-
Hello @Juris Bergmanis What you are describing is the portal groups functionality. You can find the portal groups by going to the JSM Project > Project Settings > Portal Groups tab Here you can create new groups and add Request Type forms to them so you can guide your customers to the correct form. Is that what you mean or…

Hello @Vera Valshonok It is quite hard to troubleshoot these kind of issues when there are no screenshots. Your description might be right, but the automation could have a configuration error. Could you post some screenshots so that we might be better able to assist you? It would be great if we could get a screenshot of: *…
-
Hello @Indumina Udara Jayathilaka Karannagodage You can change the notification template but that might not be the best solution. We went the automation route and created a few automations that trigger on several events. That way, we are in full control of what is being sent to the customer. Is that something you can work…
-
Hello @Hanah Billups From what I can see, issue STAR-1017 is neither an Update Access or Defect issue. In the screenshot, there is no option for a General setting but you can see in the log that an if/else blocker further down the line is triggering successfully. I am not sure what your question is at this moment since the…

Please mark the email as unread and see what happens. When a mail is read, it won't be processed by the email handler and I am quite sure this is the problem. I highly advise to have a dedicated mailbox that is not read by a human.
-
Hello @Desi Armstrong Thanks for your question. The e-mail connector is after any e-mail filtering that happens before the e-mail is delivered to the mailbox. It could be that the e-mail is marked as spam by your e-mail provider. Is there an option for you to check the mail logs of your provider? Is the e-mail delivered to…

I am not quite sure what you mean with the lookup but glad to hear that you have resolved the problem! Can you post screenshots of your solution?

Hello @Blair Do you need customers to download information or do you need information the be available to customers? In the first case, customers can download attachements through the customer portal when those are attached to an issue. In the latter case, you could use Confluence to set up a knowledge base with the…
-
Hello @Vera Valshonok It sounds like the automation isn't behaving as expected. Could you share screenshots of your automation and the log so that we can have a look at what is being done?
-
What I mean by navigation is that a customer can open a section and browse the knowledge base instead of having to search for them, This will allow customers to read up on different sections of our product without having to search for it. They can jump back and forth to articles that interest them and perhaps find section…

Here are a few pointers that you can modify as you see fit First, you need an Assets Schema. We use quite a simple one You can fill in the information that you need by creating additional Attributes, including relations to other object types. Then you can create/modify an automation to run when you want. Use the "Lookup…
-
Hello @Ben Gallimore Interesting question! One solution that pops us, is using Assets to hold your customer information. Then use an automation to lookup the correct asset based on the domain and get the information that you want from the Asset object fields. This will limit the components in your automation, and reduces…

Hello @Dan Breyen Refined is a layer over Confluence that offers different options such as a custom domain and different layout options. It looks great and can be a very handy tool, were it not for the shortcomings that we are encountering now. From what I understand, this is nog something Refined (or K15t for that matter)…

Hello @Aykan Inal Thank you for this question and I am honored that you ask for me :) @Erki Tammik is right though, portal groups are not available within automations but can easily be replaced with the desired request types since those can only be part of a single portal group. Is this the solution that you are looking…

Thank you all for your suggestions. I will take a look at all the offers and give them a try to see what will benefit us the most.
-
Hello @Trudy P Claspill Thank you for trying to find a solution, it looks like there isn't one and we might need to re-evaluate our workflow yet again, or we need to take a good look at marketplace apps that might help us out in this situation.
-
Hello @Lance Li You can also use smart values on the server version. See this page for more information: https://confluence.atlassian.com/automation/jira-smart-values-issues-993924860.html

Hello @Trudy P Claspill Yes to both questions. They set the resolution equal to the status.
