One of the most effective study methods for me was to work with other certification seekers as a team. We each helped gather the necessary study materials and taught each other the things that each of us knew. Having study partners who know about those things where you are weak and can show you how those particular…

Hello @Rick Baker, Praecipio Consulting provides formal training for JSD remote or on-site. Depending on the class size, customized content is an option. We've are an official Atlassian Training Partner and have even delivered training to Atlassian staff. Feel free to contact me here or Ian VanHover at 512.266.8271 ext.…

+1 @Kimberly Deal - it's really important to stop with some frequency and have a retrospective on the process itself, not just the regular sprint retro's. All too often, the focus gets too tight on making the things and how well we're making the things instead of stepping back and looking at how we approach the methodology…

I'm not a Tempo expert but my company uses it and I'm pretty sure there's a way to have Tempo track vacation time. A way I can think of in JSW to track vacation is to create a issue for each persons vacation with the estimated hours being the total vacation for the year. Then create a subtask with each use of vacation time…

What techniques and exercises would you use with each level of and organization to show cultural bias for or against Agile in an organization. How do any of the Team Playbooks connect with measuring willingness to adopt a new work-method?
-
Great question @Lauren Schroeder! Having effective metrics showing positive results is a great way to build momentum and support. I believe 3 sprints or at least a month should start to give some indication as to whether the change has been effective or not. This can be greatly affected by the commitment the team has to…

Hi @James Muia! Since there are two distinct actions for the termination, you might consider making a sub-task for each. Then, the SLA for the sub-task of disabling the account can be defined against the due date for that sub-task and it will not be affected by the sub-task for equipment return. As a bonus, automation…
-
Hello @dayakar mareddy! It would be very beneficial if you could paste a picture of the SLA definitions you are using. Do both of these conditions involve the same issue? My gut feel is that this involves an empty resolution so be sure to check that. I can help more if you can give me more background information. Cheers!

Hi Kevan, I use Thunderbird on Linux and Mac OS.

Hi Rachel - given your current living arrangement, your reference to "under the stairs" made me chuckle. Hope you and Chris are healthy and happy!

Hi @Monique vdB - any news or update on this? I just returned from a two week vacation and this certainly would have helped me sift through all the email that arrived in my absence. And, in case nobody has said it lately - Thank you for all the hard work you do to make this community flourish!

Here's another fun one. The rectangular blocks are actually parallel...

Hoping I can get some grace from @Monique vdB and Bridget Sauer since I was out-of-country for three weeks of the month and didn't know about this badge until two days ago. Perhaps pics of beautiful places like Kylemore Abbey will help my case for leniency?

Got to escape the scorching Texas heat over the past couple of weeks with a trip to Ireland, Scotland, and northern England. Got to see my younger daughter graduate from Lancaster University, drink a pint of Guiness at the brewery, taste some fine Jameson whiskey at the distillery and roam around beautiful countryside in…

True @Monique vdB - Yorkies can live to 20+ with proper care and nutrition. Riley is pretty spry for his age - still loves to fetch his ball!
-
Perhaps posting my pic will revive this thread as I always enjoy seeing people's pets. This is Riley, our 7lb Yorkshire Terrorist who thinks he's a 70lb Rottweiler. Well, that or a cat as he likes to frequently park himself on the back of this chair or our couch. At 12 years, he's pretty healthy for an "old man".

Man oh man @Kimberly Deal _Columbus ACE_ - those are some really stylish skates! In the west Texas desert where I grew up, the skating rink was the place to be on Saturday afternoons. Guess that dates me a bit doesn't it. :-)

Waterskiing on Lake Austin at sunrise on a weekday makes the day bulletproof! Blues on the Green, floating the rivers, and biking on one of the green belts or creeks are outstanding. I also second @Jack Brickey on "sipping a hatch or jalapeno margarita anywhere that is good and cold". Cheers!

Great topic @Meg Holbrook! Built some nice Adirondack furniture for a new sitting area we put in our backyard.

Hello @Shivraj Singh and welcome to the community! In the Display view, a field will not appear unless it has a value. This keeps the display uncluttered and the fields with values easy to see. Is this the behavior you're seeing?

From Ferris Bueller's Day Off Grace: "Oh, he's very popular Ed. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, waistoids, dweebies, dickheads--they all adore him. They think he's a righteous dude." I aspire to achieve the level of acceptance and respect that Ferris held with all the different social groups in his…

I completely agree @Zach Malloy - if JSD has user profile information sync'd in from a directory service, making that info available in fields, default or custom, would be extremely useful.
-
Hi @John Ashton, The Community forums are a great place to discuss the merits of the workflow states you pointed out but ultimately the request to change the product defaults will need to be submitted as an Enhancement Request type Atlassian Support ticket that those who agree can vote on. That's the best input path to…

By adding a Validator to the transition, one could prevent the requester/reporter from making themselves the approver. To guarantee the Approver is the manager will require access to that information in an external source and will require some kind of lookup. Ideally, something like the nFeed plugin making a query to a…

Hi @Daniele Milan, I believe Atlassian Support can change the server-id associated with your license to make it the correct one. I believe Atlassian changing their end may be easier for them to do plus then everyone's records are correct. Cheers, ~~Larry PS. If this solves your issue, please click the check mark next to my…

Hello @Dinesh Loyapalli, I believe this page does a great job of explaining how to restore a Jira project from a backup, to achieve your desired outcome: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/restoring-a-project-from-backup-802592982.html Please reply here if you need further assistance and if not, please…

Greetings @Orazio Pensabene, The set of default issue types depends on the Jira application(s) you have installed, as noted on the page @Laurens Coppens referenced. Hope this information is useful. ~~Larry Brock

The way the JSD integrates the KB for customers is searching the knowledge base space(s) when the user starts typing in the search field of the "Help Center", the search field of the individual service desk, or the summary field of a request. The user can then click a KB article summary snippet from the search results to…

I know it sounds slightly backward but I agree with @Kurt Klinner that this is the right syntax. ~~Larry Brock

Hi Trevor, Unfortunately no, there is no way to change the issue type associated with a JSD request. I am almost certain this has to do with all the possible underlying workflow elements associated with that issue type and which might not exist on an existing JSD request form. While building out the functionality within…
