What you can do is importing email1@company.com, email2@company.com etc... as separate accounts and then use Organizations to regroup customers by domain (you might do that manually or through scripting if you're familiar). Using organization is great so that all customers from a same company can see each others Jira…

Have a look at the customfield value table and check which ID is the "Epic Link" associated to. AFAIK that field is stored as others in that table. Cheers
-
At the epic child level, the "Epic Link" field will always be populated with the epic key, that might be a good way to get a subset if you have an exhaustive list of epics (2 steps). Hop this helps!

Actually to go a step further, end of life simply means you won't be able to benefit from Atlassian official support. At the moment there's no real update on versions except latest (which means you won't get all fixes and features if you're not using latest). That will change with Enterprise versions coming out. That being…

Hi, I think there's no "subquery" option in JQL OOTB. You can't do something like getting all children from epic corresponding to a second filter. That being said there are many plugins to get more JQL options (Scripting plugins can even allow you to develop your own set). Hope this helps! Cheers

Hi Leonardo, The solution would be to recreate the application link between crowd and other applications. Application Links use unique IDs associated with IPs and must be recreated each time they become obsolete (or mostly). You might have a backup account in jira directory (usually "admin") to connect to your…

Hi Robert, In fact it's in the database but I would advise you to prioritize using the REST API as much as possible. If you need to keep using SQL, the table where information is stored is customfieldvalue (in the corresponding type column, you can join jiraissue table on issue ID and customfield on customfield_id). Please…

If you have a customfield holding the customer ID for instance you might create a Service Desk Organization and automatically associate it based on that customfield, that should do the trick (based on scripting, maybe even workflow postfunction). Hope this will work, very curious on the outcome of this!

I've tried to update it for a question but couldm't I,ve therefore added a "SOLVED" prefix in the title :) Glad it helped!

Hi, The new bar is a sidebar which should be located on the left part of the screen. Usually when users can't see it, it's a cache issue which can be fixed by clearing your cache. Have you tried it? Can you also try in another browser? Cheers
-
Good news, there's a few modules to enable in the addon (explained on an admin page once installed) and you can use it on the portal for system fields or customfields :) Have fun!

Hi Bryan, I might be mistaken, the other thread is pretty old as well so I do think you should give it a try :) From what I remember there was additional configuration but it should be possible. I'll give it a try if I can find some time :) Cheers
-
Yes you're right. It's definitely not perfect but I think it's the only way to get somewhere close to what you want. Another option would be to import your DB into a user directory (AD, Crowd, LDAP...) so that it would become available within Jira easily. Good luck! Let us know how you'll do :)

Hi, I do remember using JEditor addon in the past and I,m pretty sure it's doing well on customer portal (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.jiraeditor.jeditor/server/overview). There might be other addons but it's the one I know about. Pretty straight forward, can be used for advanced features :) Hope this…

Hi, I think there's no way to keep user directory in sync with a flat database. That being said, you might let Jira create users automatically from incoming emails and then fetch some info related to this email through your external DB. There are various addons which can help you, I've used nFeed a lot in the past (I…

That one. I do feel you. We've all done that. At least it did not have such an impact on your career :) Similar story in one of the largest Canadian bank, a $600M+ project where an admin had the great idea to bulk transition bugs to use a new workflow. The most critical report at this time was Bug Aging based on…

Good one, I'm in Montreal and it's a very common thing to get back somewhere you know 50% of the staff here, especially around Atlassian. Hope they were proud of their consultant :)

Hi Luiz, The short answer is yes. Database stores everything so basically you can extract it all. The real challenge is to gather all what you need. For instance on your first point, permissions can be managed through direct profile in permission schemes, groups or even Roles. More info on the database scheme can be found…

Hi Daniel, IDs are number and they are used in the API and database. The thin you want to get is the project key, not all configuration items have keys, sone just have a name and generally you'll need a manager to acces them from their ID. For project for instance, ProjectManager have a getProjectObj(Long id) method which…

Hi Adam, Just tried it on 7.4 and you have the option to import created only when importing from the admin wizard ("external system import" tool). User wizard in Issues menu won't allow you to overwrite created date. Hope this helps! Cheers

Published, sorry for the delay :)

Trust Monique: you want that badge!

Hi, Can be a network/connection error. Have you tried downloading the plugin manually and uploading it manually in the Plugin Manager (without using the auto updater?). That might help a lot. If still not working, please upload the plugin manually to your Jira instance and check the logs, it's generally helpful! Hop this…

Hi, I'm not legal but I do think you can own your license and use it for work as long as it's fitting your company's need and if they are OK with you being the owner of the license. The only thing you can't do is use your license twice (e.g. in your private server + at work). License have no distinction between private or…

Seems like a cache related issue. Could you try on a fresh browser (maybe a new install of Firefox or a standalone chrome) to check if the cache issue is on your side? You could also open a support request with Atlassian if you can't solve it. Do you have any other user in the same situation?
-
Glad you've found a solution. Could you accept your above answer to mark this topic as answered for other users to benefit from your resolution? Thanks for sharing :)
-
Sure, glad you've managed to get there! In the past I,ve used various ways but the easiest one I've found to check a commit message was an addon which is free and so powerful: YACC (Yet Another Commit Checker). You can have a look here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.isroot.stash.plugin.yacc/server/overview…

Hi, Unfortunately I'm afraid the Community might be a simple guide but not a full partner for integration. I advise you to get in touch with a local partner who can help you setuping and integrating all applications together, there might even be more services you could benefit from. Also, if you want to try it by yourself,…

Great, feel free to share what you did here so that other Atlassian users might find it cool and reuse it :)

+1 here, thanks for adding some context on the licensing issue with MySQL, didn't want to talk in Atlassian's name, I even do think that it's mentioned in the Database Connection KB in the official documentation :)
