Nice! Thanks for sharing that.

For annotated tags You can see the tag data along with the commit that was tagged by using the git show command: For lightweight tags if you run git show on the tag, you don’t see the extra tag information. The command just shows the commit: Your recent question: in which way can I understand the type (annotated or…

Great question. I'm not sure you can get that granular using git alone. This is from the docs: You can also search for tags that match a particular pattern. The Git source repo, for instance, contains more than 500 tags. If you’re interested only in looking at the 1.8.5 series, you can run this: $ git tag -l "v1.8.5*"…

Your repository might be in a private Project, in which case you would need to make the Project public in order to change the repository setting. Here is some documentation about projects: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/group-repositories-into-projects-792497956.html

Hi Will, If your index.html is working, adding folders to the main directory will create new webpages. Example: * /index.html - main page * /web - new folder * /web/index.html - new index.html file in the new folder When you visit accountname.bitbucket.io/web you will see the content from the index.html in the /web/…

Welcome to the Community. In order to create a project, you must first create a Team. The team doesn't have to have any other members except yourself - that is up to you. Here is some more documentation about Projects: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/group-repositories-into-projects-792497956.html

Ok. The 'sync' button might not be appearing because v0-8 is set as the main branch for both repos and those branches are in sync. However, you can use the Compare View to compare and sync different branches and tags: https://bitbucket.org/Jahndal/cegui/branches/compare/cegui/cegui:default%0DJahndal/cegui:default#diff You…

Are the repositories out of sync? The button only appears when they are out of sync.
-
Why do you need a project? You can create a private repository instead? If you want to have a private project you must first create a team. You can be the only person on the team, but a team is needed in order to have projects.

If you have the correct access rights, you can delete a project from a team in the project settings. The URL should look something like this: https://bitbucket.org/account/user/<team-name>/projects/<PROJECT_KEY>/settings There is a button in the upper-right corner of the screen 'Delete project'

Check the contents of the file: cat ~/.gitconfig The format should look something like: [user] name = Firstname Lastname email = name@example.com [core] etc.... As @Jobin Kuruvilla [Adaptavist] suggested, it might be malformed and need manual updating.
-
As @Alastair Wilkes mentioned in your other post - this might be caused by toggling the feature for a team account versus a personal account. The "New pull request experience" feature can only be activated on a personal account level. For others that have run into the same issue, please see this…

Hi Greg, There is known bug in Sourcetree for Windows where an extra / is added under some circumstances. It will be fixed in the upcoming 3.1 release.

From the Bitbucket Cloud documentation: Soft limit 1 GB: You will be notified by email and via a notification bar in Bitbucket Cloud. Hard limit 2 GB: Your ability to push to the repository will be disabled. You will be notified by email and with a notification bar in Bitbucket Cloud. Please keep in mind that if your…

Hi Navid, this problem isn't specific to Bitbucket but rather how Git works. Since the file is already being tracked by Git, you would need to update the .gitignore and run the following command: git rm --cached <file> Warning: If you are working on a team, this will remove the file from your teammates computers when they…

Hi Francisco, You can use a modified forking workflow to accomplish this but it won't be automatically synced without a more customized solution. Below is an example of how to sync them manually. This Stack Overflow question has a good diagram and explanation: https://stackoverflow.com/a/9257901 You can have 1 repository…

Have you downloaded the security app on your mobile device to scan the QR code? There are more detailed instructions here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/two-step-verification-777023203.html

You could fork it and lock down the permissions so it is read-only and then keep it in sync. What are you trying to accomplish with a Cloud to Cloud mirror?

Apologies @v, I had misread your question earlier. The website field in Profile Settings is not currently used in the UI. It was displayed in earlier versions of Bitbucket and may be displayed again but is not currently part of the UI.
-
The website field is displayed on the repository overview details. As an example, TortoiseHg (a public repo) has a link to their website under the repository details: https://bitbucket.org/tortoisehg/thg/overview

Welcome to the Community @FaidaElie Atlassian has a great guide on getting started with git: https://www.atlassian.com/git/tutorials/learn-git-with-bitbucket-cloud Here is some additional documentation for setting up a repository: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/repository-setup-877174034.html

Can you please provide more information and/or screenshots regarding the issue you are experiencing? The original problem from October has been resolved. Thank you

You might need to configure your SSH key, here are some instructions: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/set-up-an-ssh-key-728138079.html

This is a good resource, look at section 5 https://www.atlassian.com/legal/cloud-terms-of-service

Are you still having this issue? You should have a repository with the following name: workspace-id.bitbucket.io After you add an index.html to the root of the repository you should be able to access your page at workspace-id.bitbucket.io - it may take a minute for the page to appear after publishing it to your repository.
-
Oops, the correct command was: git reset --hard origin/master Glad it worked out 👍

Your local branch is not up-to-date with the changes in the remote so you are not being allowed to push new changes until your local branch is synced with the latest version of the remote branch. You may want to first integrate the remote changes (e.g., 'git pull ...') before pushing again. I would recommend the following:…

It sounds like you are describing a forking workflow although that might not be necessary since you have write access to the main repository. You could do two things: * Create your own branch in the Shared/ABC repository and then make a pull request from your branch to master in the Shared/ABC repository. * Fork the…
