So glad to hear it, @Pramodh M =)

Absolutely love everything about this! @Monique vdB thank you for all the work you do in our Atlassian Community and our Earthy Community. A true inspiration :)

Which is correct? I've never thought of "Ivan" as being anything but "Ivan" but I bet different regions are all different!
-
I've never thought about alter egos but that's a cool line of thinking! Now that I think about it, most people I'm closest to have their own name for me, so I'm a woman of many nicknames, fitting all the different personalities we adopt around different friends. I'll have to think about how those names all shape me

Not at work, but I showed horses from childhood to my mid-20s. My barn mates always called me "Carlos" or "Carlson" (my maiden name). To this day, when I'm giving myself a pep talk, I call myself Carlos because I felt my strongest when I was riding, and it reminds me of that inner strength. Even if that inner strength is…

Nice! Looking forward to this =)

She's not a coach and she's very American, so I'm sure this isn't especially helpful BUT Buffy Summers (of vampire slaying fame) is a great example of a leader. Her series arc of reluctance to lead to helping her friends find their own "powers" and saving the world (a lot) is some great non-male leadership. I do think some…

I haven't even seen Ted Lasso yet and he's the first one that came to mind! I hear it's excellent

Hm, I'd start with a deep dive into why they're missing deadlines. It could just be that they're playing too hard, but that could be combined with several other factors, like not knowing about the deadlines, thinking the deadlines are more flexible than they are, or not being great at managing milestones within those…

Hey @Jeanne Howe, thanks for this suggestion. We don’t currently have filters set up for those criteria, but I will pass this feedback on to our product teams or see if there are alternative ways to give you better clarity into what's on our roadmap and the area. Thanks!
-
Hi @Troy Chaplin, yes Jira and other Data Center products will continue to receive investment including additional capabilities and features in the primary areas as well as additional investments outside those areas. We will continue to share updates on an ongoing basis about our future roadmap and investments. To answer…

Registered and excited!

This is beyond cool! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with
-
It was a good prompt, @Christine P. Dela Rosa! I didn't realize how passionate I am about feedback until I started writing haha
-
Giving and receiving feedback can be a wildcard experience because everyone has unique preferences. Personally, I like to know in advance that my manager plans to pay special attention to my presentation/draft content/etc. and intends to give specific feedback on it. Hearing something like "I'm looking forward to your…

Hi, @Andrew Laden glad to have you in our Data Center community. I'd like to share two resources from Team you may find helpful: * This downloadable asset offers a brief overview of how Atlassian is developing Data Center products to meet the unique needs of customers who must remain self-managed. * This on-demand session…

Great to have you in the group, @Brian Hill thanks for being part of the Community!
-
Welcome, @Evangeline Black! I'm excited to have you in the Data Center community and as a newbie, please feel free to post any questions in the group :)
-
Great to meet you, @Carmen Nadeau! I expect this group will be a great place to highlight the differences between Server and Data Center and between Data Center and Cloud, so I'm glad you're a part of this community!
-
Glad to hear it, @Taranjeet Singh! We're all looking forward to building up this Data Center community
-
Love this! I try and reframe my thinking about work anxiety by asking myself what actually happened, rather than how I felt about it. It's super easy to get lost in our own perceptions, that a little gut check now and then makes a world of difference.
-
Totally agree, @Christine P. Dela Rosa ! Like you said, without context, numbers on a resume don't really give a hiring manager a good idea of a candidate's accomplishments, only their ability to market themselves (which is sometimes what they're looking for, but certainly not always!)
-
Oh man, I love this question! I strongly agree that largely, the way we (corp. America as the royal we, not any one particular company) go about the hiring process is deeply flawed. Reading 3 different work-advice books will give you 3 different ideas of what a cover letter should and should not do. Open with a mission…

Glad to hear it, @Dave LIAO ! And thanks for all your work moderating this group =)
-
@Brandon Raney ha! It's also just so memorable :)
-
Narnia was also my first thought! Lots of fun creature friends and generally low danger
-
Hi there, @Mark Thomas thanks for your question and apologies for the delayed response. I've taken your question to our team and they'll share any available insight here!

Not quite within the prompt, but I think Who Moved My Cheese falls into the "Classic for a Reason" bucket. The message isn't flawless, but I read it in high school (my mom had it laying around for her business class) so it really stuck with me as I was starting to think about the professional world. The message, for those…

Totally agree! Too many people overlook the time saved by documenting processes and knowledge—maybe it takes some extra effort up front, but once you have those confluence pages, being able to reference back and share with your teams is amazing!

A few years ago, I worked with a guy who was naturally very charismatic and easy to be around. At first, I was jealous of the way he could put people at ease and make the team feel confident. Then I started noticing what specifically he said or did that gave off that impression—a lot of it was nonverbal (great eye contact,…
