Hello, It would be great to hear about the workaround. Also, we have some improvements available for the app mentioned above. Now, it provides exporting and sharing options. It's also possible to display changes for a separate field only. If you are interested, you can book a demo.

Hi @Dan Ny As JQL doesn't support history searches for the description field, I might suggest a workaround solution developed by my team. You can check the Issue History for Jira app. It's not a JQL , but it provides the ability to get changes for any specific field, including a description. Also, you can filter by dates,…

@Joseph Law (Contegix) thank you for the overview! It's so inspiring to see that Time & Cost Tracker for Jira and Issue History for Jira made the list!

Hi @Digvijay Singh Gehlot If you need to display comments or any other specific field on Jira dashboard, you can check an Activities gadget from Issue History for Jira developed by my team. I think it's possible to display all 3 cases: 1) You'll need to create Jira filter with something like comment ~ "username", and then…

Hi @Sharon 1) As a workaround to capture the status date change, you can check out the Activity Stream gadget (available natively in Jira). There are separate activities to check such as Issue transitioned or Issue progress started. It will capture the date of change for all statuses. 2) You can also check the Issue…

Hi @Rodrigo Buch I want to add that there is no way to see previously deleted issues. Trying apps from the marketplace can only help you track deleted tickets in the future. You can also check the one from my team called Issue History for Jira (it tracks and restores deleted issues). Here is how it works.
-
Hi @Renato Castro Unfortunately, Jira doesn't store deleted issues and the info about who deleted and when. To track and recover deleted issues in the future, you might either back up your projects or get an app with the "restore deleted issues" option from the marketplace. The one my team created is called Issue History…

Hi @KOBAYASHI HIROKAZU _JALDX HPI_ @Ollie Guan thank you for mentioning Issue History for Jira. I just want to add that marketplace apps work after installation, not for previously deleted issues. So, it is a good option to prevent losses in the future. More details here: How does it work?

Hi @Lilit Tsaturyan I don't know what kind of report you want to get, but you can check out this one from Issue History for Jira from my team. It includes a complete history of every issue field for each issue, including the remaining estimation. Also, you can select sprints or other filters. Here is an example with the…

@Sumbul Bilgrami thank you for your feedback! I am glad it helped :)

@Sahil With JQL, you can get all issues using status changed to Done. Jira tickets have that info in the history section, but there is no built-in option to export issue history. So, check out these workarounds: Solution 1. You can try to extract status history with REST API. Here is an extract from a thread I linked…

Hi @Cristóbal González As far as I know, it's only possible to see a date of change for transitions in the History section when opening each issue. My team has developed two solutions that can show the date of change for transitions: 1) Issue History for Jira app that records all changes, including status transition: 2)…

Hi @Charles Daflon dos Anjos If you need to track how tasks are moving from sprint to sprint, you can check Issue History for Jira (developed by my team). Free trial available. Here is the report example:

Hi @Дар_я Малярик As I don't know a suitable built-in solution, here is an example of a report you can get with Issue History for Jira (an app developed by my team). It includes time spent and status changes. You can set various fields and filters (projects, sprints, dates, etc.) Also, there is a free 30-day trial, so you…

Hi @Meenal Suneja If you don't mind apps, you can check Issue History for Jira from my team. You can have "Updated by" in a separate column as well as any field you want to track. Here is an example:
-
Hi @Sissy Lynn Maybe you can check if those issues were moved to other projects. If they were deleted, there is no way to see who deleted or recover them. To track and recover deleted issues in the future, you might either back up your projects or get an app with the "restore deleted issues" option from the marketplace.…

Hi @Gina Novoa You might consider some workarounds for the future: * Backing up your projects * Getting an app with a restoring option from the marketplace Some articles on this topic: Jira Cloud - Restore Issues & Site from Backup Jira Cloud: How to restore deleted issue? Jira Regular Backups and Issue History Tracking:…

Hi @Lela Ražnatović I think it's only possible if you have a backup. When someones delete issues in Jira, there is no built-in option to track or restore them. To prevent losses in the future, you can either create a backup for your projects or check out an app on the marketplace. The one from my team, Issue History for…
-
Hi @Vikash P Chand Unfortunately, it's impossible to get a report with deleted bugs or issues for last year. When someone deletes an issue in Jira, it's a permanent deletion, and there is no way to track when and who deleted it. You can check apps on the marketplace, but all of them save deleted issues only after the…

@vikram thank you for your comment! I am glad you found the article helpful. It would be great if you share your experience after testing the apps 🙌

Hi @Darin - Opus Guard I understand your concerns. If you don't want to track or restore deleted issues, you can leave this option disabled. Also, it's possible to manage permissions, so you can allow tracking deleted issues to admins only and restrict it to other users.
-
Hi @Aa10203040 I am not sure what you mean by certain demand, but you can check the history of the bug to find out who updated it and when. Also, my team developed an app to check the history of multiple issues in your projects: It's possible to try it free for 30 days: Issue History for Jira
-
Hi @Shenoy Pai You can try changeing permission schemes to allow editing comments only to certain users. I found it under Issues - Permission schemes - Default Permission Scheme: Regarding tracking comments' changes, my team notified me that we are currently working to add this option for Issue History for Jira. If you are…

Hi @Deepak Yadav Recovering or tracking deleted stories in Jira is impossible if you don't have a backup. The following actions can help you avoid losing deleted assignments in the future: - Limit access to delete issues to admins only; disable it for regular users. - Back up your projects. - Get the app from the Atlassian…

@Hi @Shenoy Pai Unfortunately, the history doesn't reflect comments' updates, whether made by you or other users.

Hi @Sara.B History searches with Changed operator are available for only six fields: Assignee, Fix Version, Priority, Reporter, Resolution, and Status. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for issue type. Alternatively, to get specific fileds' changes, you can try Issue History for Jira from my team. It records and presents all…

Hi @KL I think you need to use smart values for this case. Here is a similar request you might check: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Max-min-date-of-any-child-under-an-epic-Smart-values/qaq-p/2678618 In general, you can try something like this: Trigger: Field value changed (Due date) Condition: Issue…

Hi @Jenny Campinell Some of them are more related to workflows, and some to systems. - Issue History for Jira is a journal of all updates made on the issue level. [For example: changes in descriptions, summaries, assignees, and any issue field] The plugin expands reporting on changes for multiple issues. - Auditor for…
