Hello DW.C! Welcome to the community. In Bitbucket data-center you can create repository groups and set the repository merge-check 'minimum required approvals' to '2' However, that won't enforce the 'min approval per group' condition, as the repository groups are only used to populate the PR with reviewers. You may…

I understand that you want to push another commit to a branch that has already been merged to a target branch. While it is certainly not best practice, I believe this is possible. From a technical perspective in Git, a branch is essentially a lightweight movable pointer to a specific commit in the version history. Branches…

Hello Daniel, Welcome to the community! It's great to see how Bitbucket apps are providing important features that are still missing in Bitbucket cloud. I understand that you only want to notify reviewers if the source branch of the PR has a successful build result (via pipeline), because there's no point reviewing a PR…

Couldn't agree more! Love playwright - and if you're stuck figuring out the right locator for that nested Atlaskit select - you can get unstuck with playwright codegen !

Thanks for giving Workzone a try! As for the 'script' you're asking for in your post - check out Forge based merge-checks that have just been released. I think you did set up Workzone correctly by adding the DL group with 1 required approval and a total of 2 required approvals (in branch restrictions) for the main branch.…

Hello @Vaishnav Raam The recommendation made by @Patrik S are perfect - setting the minimum number of approvals for pull requests in repository or project branch restrictions makes sure that you get at least one approval from anyone "who is having access to our project". As for group scoped approvals with a group approval…

Hello Nizar, welcome to the Bitbucket community. This is a very interesting question. Can you clarify whether you are using Bitbucket cloud (bitbucket.org) or the self-hosted Bitbucket server/datacenter instance? Best, Ulrich

Hi Simon, While reviewer groups are not available just yet - there is a feature request for that: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-10833 If you want to use reviewer groups now please check out Workzone for Bitbucket Cloud - we are providing this app to solve exactly this problem (and more..) Simply configure…

Hi Jack, welcome to the community. I'm not sure which plugin you have in mind? Are you going to build one? I can certainly recommend our Workzone plugin for Bitbucket server and Datacenter. You can configure reviewer groups for repository branches, directories and files, and configure a merge-check group quota [1].…

Thanks for your reply Dave, much appreciated. A developer use case is always a customer/business use case, right ? :-) Not sure if that has an influence on the priority. In any case I opened https://support.atlassian.com/requests/BBS-211613/ to follow up on this 'business use case'. Thanks, Ulrich

Thanks for posting the article on WebGL & Confluence Whiteboards. Inspiring showcase how attention to detail delivers customer value.

Hi @Dave Parrish [Atlassian] - do you have any updates on this potential bug? I'm not able to create an issue in BCLOUD :(
-
Hello Varun, yes - follow the golden rule, i.e. don't rebase a (public) branch that is visible to others onto _your_ (private) branch. And, as you are mentioning merge conflicts, even if you follow the golden rule of re-basing, you will still need to resolve conflicts, in case the same files and lines have changed in…

Thanks @Dave Parrish [Atlassian] for the quick reply. Suppose I have a PR with 2 pending comments and by calling the PR comments REST API I get an empty array in the response. When I finish the review the same API call returns both comments {pending: false}. I had hoped to retrieve all pending PR comments with {pending:…

Looks great, @Dave Parrish [Atlassian] Can a reviewer's pending review be checked by a merge-condition, i.e. 'No pending reviews' similar to 'All tasks resolved'? Cheers Ulrich

Hi Stacey, sorry for the late reply. I understand that you have added a new user to a (reviewer?) group. Did you add the user to a group in the global Bitbucket user directory or to a repository/project reviewer group? Out of the box Bitbucket does not provide directory based groups for selection when creating pull…
-
Oh yes - sorry. Probably a DC only feature :( so it won't be available in Bitbucket server. Let me know if you have any questions, perhaps Workzone or another app can enable you to use reviewer groups.
-
Yes - repo groups were intoduced with Bitbucket 7.13 https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/bitbucket-data-center-and-server-7-13-release-notes-1056675425.html

Great work! Are Erica and AlBert going to be friends?

Thanks for sharing your insights and solutions working with OpenAI!

I agree PvA is by far the best solution. Believe me @Aron Gombas _Midori_ - I have tried everything to get PvA for BBC apps. I walked barefeet to Atlassian HQ, my naked body only wrapped in a cloth that had "PvA for BBCloud" printed on it (in Atlassian colors), chained myself to a tree downstairs and went on a…

Even though we got our own entry in this category - I can't stop watching this clever clip! Well done Stilties!

Great video, I know what happened: The suspect had a special Oktoberfest Wiesn Beer (8.5%), got the wrong lunch and fell asleep on her desk and forgot to log time. Now which one of the above is the most serious crime?
-
Hi Aron, we use Stripe for the time being to unblock enterprise clients that need a commercial license. So far we haven't had anyone churn because of PvV, once you explain the circumstances.

Is there a JSM API to use Atlassian Intelligence programmatically?
-
No - Atlassian Bitbucket server doesn't offer a GraphQL API.

Hi Stasys, First up - welcome to the community. 1. you can't add yourself as a reviewer when you author (create) the PR. 2. I don't know why you see these random reviewer suggestions. Is your workspace / repo public? Do you see the same when you make the repository private? Hope I could help a little. Best, Ulrich // Izymes

Hi Piotr, I understand that Workzone auto-merge is not an option and the author of the PR needs to merge it manually. If _anyone_ must be able to merge manually, Workzone must then enforce merge conditions for everyone, including the mandatory special reviewers. So you're back to square one where even mandatory users…
-
As a first step I recommend setting up Bitbucket mirrors additional to the main server location to reduce general delays for clone and fetch/pull. To scale with the _size_ of your repositories you may then enable Bitbucket mesh in each location.
-
Hi Piotr, glad you're using Workzone (we maintain it :) - you're half-way there with your requirement. If I understand correctly you would like some mandatory reviewers (currently configured as repo default reviewers) to approve a PR before it can be merged, EXCEPT if any of the mandatory reviewers is the author of the PR,…
