@Pierfrancesco Di Ruzza You can create custom idea types, however you require an upgrade to our Premium edition (as @Walter Buggenhout mentioned) to create relationships between ideas and sub-ideas. See screenshots attached
-
Hi @Carolyn Moore Hierarchies are available in our Premium edition. We’re actively working on supporting JPD hierarchies in Jira Plans, and will share the timeline for this feature soon on our public roadmap.…

Makes sense, thanks for sharing @Jordan Ribeiro We jumped the gun a bit too quickly, assuming that the new idea side panel would solve the same problem! Luckily we were able to reverse this quickly
-
@Christian Mahlknecht @Mallory ONeil We are bringing back the embed idea description in work items function. It will be available for you by end of day today. I'm still interested to meet to learn more about your needs and identify how we can improve the integration :)
-
Hi @Christian Mahlknecht and @Mallory ONeil Thanks for sharing your feedback! While Tanguy explained why we removed the embed option, I'm interested to hear more about why this is an issue for you! We're currently working on improving the Jira integration, so I'd love to dive deeper into your needs. Would you be up for a…

HI Cara, It looks like you are hoping to see delivery progress on ideas in a Jira board. Please note that delivery progress is associated with Epics/issues/initiatives, rather than ideas. To effectively monitor progress, I suggest creating a view in Jira Product Discovery. This view should link your objectives to ideas,…
-
I also recommend to check out the following to learn more about how to use Jira plans and Jira product discovery effectively See this section of the Atlassian Product Discovery handbook. Video that explains how to use them together

Hi Katrin, Currently, this feature is not available. However, I've noted it as a potential improvement for future updates. To ensure clarity, could you please advise on how individuals submitting ideas can determine the appropriate form to select? Additionally, I recommend using Jira Service Management for more…
-
Hi Michelle, you should be able to see pre-configured roadmap views. Can you try to refresh or log in and out to see if that resolves it? If not, I recommend to delete this project and start a new one. Please let me know if any of these suggestion don't resolve your issue.

hi, the template recommendations are there to help new users structure their ideas. They disappear as soon as you create your own idea description template. Showing your own templates in there will be for a future iteration. Can you explain why this is beneficial for you?
-
Hi, thanks for sharing @lisa I've recorded the intended behaviour here We will hide the default templates option if the admin selected a template in project settings
-
Hi Nicola! We've introduced new idea templates and removed the previous ones due to low usage. However, we appreciate your feedback on their value to you. We're happy to reinstate them and will do so by next week. Thank you for your input!
-
@binh_pham We have solved this problem, Jira users are can now link ideas as contributors. See this thread for more info
-
@Gary Spross @Rens Hendriks @Tara_Westgate @richie.gee @Tere Pile @Andrej @Tere Pile We have found a solution to the problem and it's been released to all Jira users. Jira users are now able to link JPD ideas as contributors. Known limitations * It will not work for ideas in Private projects even if the user has been added…
-
We have found a solution to the problem and are in the process to release these changes. Stay tuned, I will communicate here as soon as it's live.
-
Thanks for asking! I've noted this as an insight for better notifications support, eg automatically notifying the creator of an idea when the start/target date changes.
-
Thank you @Gary Spross !!!
-
@Corey Hampton "implements" and "is implemented by" links are reserved to link insights, not epics. I agree that this is not obvious in the current UI. We have a ticket in our backlog to improve the experience. I recommend using 'relates to' to link delivery ticket to ideas. Thanks for answering @Bill Sheboy
-
Hi @Aaron Jurrens and @Christopher Vallender The Ideas in Plans integration is now generally available for all Jira premium customers. Here you'll find instructions around how to enable and use it…
-
@Corey Hampton BA's have to be Creators in order to see the Idea info in the Jira Epic (delivery ticket). BA's don't need to be creators to see the context of ideas in the Epic within Jira. * If you Jira product discovery project access level is 'open' then any Jira user will be able to see linked ideas context in…
-
@Corey Hampton - any Jira user can view ideas in JPD, because they automatically get a contributor role. The purpose of the ideas panelis to provide Jira users with context about the idea related to the delivery ticket. Both contributors and creators can view that, and clicking on it takes them to Jira Product Discovery.…

Hello everyone! I'm excited to announce that this feature is now available to everyone. The issue we encountered was due to a reset in our feature flag, but I'm happy to report that it has been resolved. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this delay. We appreciate your support!
-
@Gary Spross This is currently not possible, however I agree that contributors should be able to link ideas from the Jira ticket. We are going to investigate and try to fix it in the next sprint. I will let you know when it's done.
-
@Dave Tabron @Luke Towers it will be available for all users on 14th Jan (tomorrow). Next time I will call out the release plan for customers bundled/release tracks in the feature announcement blog :) Please let me know if you are still now able to see it on the 15th. Thanks
-
Hi @Manish Arya that's because you are grouping your plan by idea. You need to add a new field to show the idea in your plan, which then shows the key on hover. Here's how a quick demo https://www.loom.com/share/fc71cc6734f1471494cc383c02162abc
-
@Manish Arya I checked with our engineering team, it seems something went wrong yesterday - now you definitely have access! Keen to hear any feedback you may have!
-
@Manish Arya yes, you need to refresh your browser. If that doesn't work then try to log out and in. Please let me know if you are still experiencing issues after trying that. thanks
-
@Manish Arya we've provided manual access, you should be able to use the integration in your plan now. Kind regards, Jet
-
@Kim Ranch Olsen turns out that you are in bundled release tracks, but we managed to provide access to the feature, so it should work now!
-
@Kim Ranch Olsen @Manish Arya It could be because you are on release tracks/bundled releases. If that's the case, then you should get it in January or I can give access manually. Can you please share your domain name so that I can find out if that's the case? Thanks!
