Hello All, Since Microsoft url has changed over time, we have removed the validation from Automation side in cloud. The new URL should be working now. Please let me know in case of issues. Apologies for the inconvenience. Cheers Sherry

@Tudor Lala You should be seeing that field in dropdown inside "clone issue" where you can set its value. Let me know more details about the use case what exactly you want to set and maybe share your rule too. Will help me in understanding what exactly you are after.
-
Hello @Tudor Lala You can achieve this by using "branch - Most recently created" after clone action and smart values in "Send email" action. Something like: I used: {{triggerIssue.reporter.emailAddress}} to access reporter's email address in original ticket {{triggerIssue.reporter.displayName}} to access display name of…

Hello, Please try using custom field id (of Estimated time (hrs)) instead of field name. Something like: {{issue.subtasks.customfield_12345.sum}} Also, would be good to check the output and log the output in audit logs and see what it is exactly. You can take help from here to debug your rule. Let me know how it goes and…

Technically resolution means when it moves to done status. I think you are moving it to another status. You should try {{now.diff(issue.created).hours}} I would suggest to add "Log action" and try to print values there if this does not works.
-
Hi @Srujana Deva {{issue.created.diff(issue.resolved).hours}} will give negative value as order matters! Try other way around: {{issue.resolved.diff(issue.created).hours}} or else please add try to paste the value to audit log and test the output. You can take help from here to debug a rule. Thanks Sherry

Hello @Kristin Palmer Thanks for writing to us. I say please give it a shot by using jqls and smart values. Something like this: So: 1. Scheduled Trigger : It gives option to enter a jql along with cron schedule, where you can pick a list of issues you want to iterate. Here I used issuetype and project, you can add status,…

@Bill Sheboy https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/smart-values-general/ - look for {{fieldChange}}. @Sofia Quintero Please use either {{#=}}({{fieldChange.to}} - {{fieldChange.from}} + {{issue.original estimate}})/60{{/}} OR {{#=}}({{fieldChange.to}}/60 - {{fieldChange.from}}/60 + {{issue.original…

Hello @Chad Cooper Thanks for writing to us. I checked for Issue created one. Seems like you are doing fine. I suspect that condition didn't meet when you created a new ticket of a particular "Request Type" you are interested in and hence subtask was not created. I would request you to share the audit log (see link to know…
-
Hello @Neil Jones Please try using: {{assignee.displayName | Unassigned}} If displayName is unset, "Unassigned" will serve as fallback value. Hope this helps. Cheers Sherry(A4j)

Let me try it once more :) Say there is custom field "brand" which is multi-select field type. So it's possible values are exactly as all project keys. Then I can create a global rule where I choose trigger "Issue created" and then edit issue action where I set field "brand" as "project.issue.key". And above json will do…

You can set value like: "customfield_11448" : [ { "value": "option1" }, { "value": "option2" } ]or"customfield_11448" : [ { "id": 10112 }, { "id": 10115 } ] So either use value or id not "{{project.key}}" inside set .
-
Hello @Kit Friend Yes you can achieve this using JSON, something like this: "update": { "your_custom_multiselect_field_name": [ { "set": [{"value": "{{issue.project.key}}"}] } ] } } For more details and usage with examples, you can refer here. Thanks Sherry
-
Hello @Kit Friend Thanks for writing to us. I would suggest you to use if/else condition block along with "Issue fields condition". Trigger: Issue Created Condition/Action: if -> project equals NET then -> edit issue(choose custom field from drop down ) and for value, select appropriate value from dropdown out of all the…
-
Hello @[deleted] Seems like in your case parent-child relationship does not hold true, that's why "For Parent" branch condition is failing. Can you try choosing "Epic(Parent)" from drop down instead of "Parent" to find the epic? Also, the condition "Sub-tasks match" , maybe you can try "Stories (or other issues in this…

@Sudarshan v Just checked with the right team, sorry there is no integration with "bamboo" as there are some technical limitations to it. Sorry for the wrong suggestion before. So with Automation, you can't achieve what you intent to. Apologies for bringing the sad news to you. Cheers Sherry(A4j)
-
Hello @[deleted] Maybe you can refer rule here: https://docs.automationforjira.com/rule-playground/index.html#/rule/112177/12212069 which does something similar to closing parent tasks if all child tasks are done. IF this still not resolves, please share your rule and audit logs so that I can take a look. Cheers Sherry
-
@Sudarshan v Hello! Thanks for writing to us. If you are aware of Automation product, I suggest you to use "Deployment failed" trigger where you will need to connect to "bamboo" and then you can use "Create Issue" as an action. Just FYI, there are bunch of smart values available related to development triggers. Hope this…
-
Hello @sfullman Thanks for writing to us. You got this right as this can be done by simply using if/else blocks combined with "Issue Fields conditions". See for ex: As you can see multiple conditions can be added in these blocks or you can select multiple checkbox values in one block. Hope this resolves your concern.…

I would suggest to do try bunch of things: 1. Try without putting into list. Directly: iss.update().field("customfield_10102", lSprintNo).execute(); 2. Try setting sprint value to sprint fields: iss.update().field("Sprint", sprint.getName()).execute(); 3. Similar thing was achieved…
-
@Arvind Jagtap Hello! From a quick glance, seems like List<String> lstSprints = new ArrayList<String>(); should be of "long" type. Maybe give it a shot and try solving your problem. Cheers Sherry
-
@Pavel I do see request for sum/min/max, etc raised in the backlog with the relevant team. I have voted for the request. Also, have notified the team with your concern. Hopefully somebody will respond here soon. Cheers Sherry
-
@Pavel Hello! Thanks for writing to us. If you are using cloud(not jira server), then "sum" should work the way you are trying to do. I used {{#=}}{{issue.issuelinks.outwardIssue.timespent.sum}} / 3600{{/}} This gave me sum in hours. It would be better if you can share audit logs and rule plan for better insights. Let us…

@Rasmus Høll Jakobsen Hello! Thanks for writing to us. Not sure what exactly are you seeking by saying "specific difference in dates" but let me give it a shot. From what I understood you want tickets exactly in same state since 14 days or during some particular dates. I would recommend to use JQL by using suggestions from…
-
@LPK Hello! You are asking for very jira specific thing here which is outside my capabilities. Apologies for the same. Not sure why you want to capture this data in inspect element. Though I can share link for rest APIs for jira if this be of any help to you in anyway. I can help you with setting or executing of rule using…
-
@Shah Baloch Thanks for writing to us. Good to hear you figured out second part. For the first part, I believe creating ticket from email is more of Jira specific feature, but we can write rule using automation only once new ticket is created. I can give you a way out if you feel like planing rule like: * Issue created…
-
@Jakob Wendt You can use something like {{now.plusHours(issue.hours | 1)}} where 1 is default value if issue.hours does not exists. Hopefully this answers your query. Cheers Sherry
-
@LPK Hello! Thanks for writing. I am not sure about which Jira APIs could be directly used in your case as that is outside my knowledge(somebody from the team will answer it) but I think you might be able to use "Automation" for Jira here. You can use "Incoming webhook" trigger(choose option "Issues provided in the webhook…
-
@Neetu Verma I would suggest to add sorting logic as part of JQL like: project = ........ ORDER BY issuetype DESC You can use ASC/DESC and output will probably depend on ordering of issue types in the scheme but default one will work just fine. You can try jql in jira search bar and check the order. To know more on what…

Hello @Todd Thelin Thanks for writing to us. With the power of HTML you can style your email as you like. For that probably you will need some hands on HTML (Maybe refer https://www.w3schools.com/ for the usage details). Just giving you an idea how one can use HTML styling( script in email body in left and output email…
