Are they in the jira-software-users group?
-
Hi Ayesha, Boards in Jira are just a way to organise and visualise Issues. If I understand your question properly you've got two boards, but they both contain the same issues, so the updates you make to the issues will be visible in both boards. If you want to test the integration you could set up a standalone sandbox Jira…

Hi, I have been investigating Roadmaps and it seems they behave very differently between Project Roadmaps (Next-gen and Classic[Beta]) and Advanced Roadmaps. To get Advanced Roadmaps you need to upgrade to Jira Software Premium as you probably know, and as you both noted AR is an add-on, so I guess it makes sense that they…

I actually feel happy about Issue, I used to associate issue with problem but by definition, it's just an important topic. I like the implication that anything you take the time to physically type through the interface is important. We actually managed to really engage service desk users with 'ticket' terminology. It all…

Apologies - I misread your question. You have of course already done this and Sramanth is absolutely correct. You would need to add your project managers to the 'Administer Jira' which gives them access to change a lot of settings. At my company we only let a small number of people who have had training administer Jira.…

Hi @Michael Galper Yes there is! Settings cog (top right) System Global Permissions Under 'create next-gen projects' you can delete the 'jira-software-users' group and add the group in for the users you want to create next-gen projects Hope this helps 👍
-
Hi Darren, Which references? I remember some dummy tickets to help explain how the service desk works. You can resolve these or even delete them if you like. The rest of the configuration should allow you to change to suit your needs. Are you using a classic or next-gen project? That will make a difference to the extent…

This helps a lot, thanks very much for taking the time to explain the background for me. I'm going to explore Advanced Roadmaps some more but I'll try the live plans interface, I did read about it. It's a shame that reporting based on custom fields didn't make it in to the release but fingers crossed for a future release!
-
Good points! It does state you should have 1-2 years Jira Admin experience and real world 'tinkering' has taught me an awful lot!
-
@Rob Horan I haven't taken the exam yet but I have it booked for the 11th Sept. The prep course is quite dry to be honest and more of a list of things you need to know than a course to teach you how to do it. I imagine that's because this is a new certification and Atlassian need to run a beta to establish the right…

Thanks for the useful info and clarification. I've just finished the thread and I'm now clearer on what to expect with my ACP-120
-
No problem, it's not immediately obvious and I've seen other posts asking the same. Hope you find it useful and thanks for alerting me to it's existence! Please mark as accepted answer in case anyone else has the same issue.

Hi guys, I just realised today that open beta is now live for roadmaps in Classic projects (I'm genuinely excited to try it out)! @Arthur Mello in your second screenshot you're in board settings > roadmaps which is where you need to be. Have you tried pressing the toggle button (top right) to turn roadmaps on? I did that…
-
Hi @ruel.loehr You need 'start date' and 'due date' for your epics to show up in the roadmap. Hope this helps, let me know if I've misunderstood your question
-
Hi @afsal nazar I just tried it - went to board settings and saw the roadmap option. When I went into it I could see the toggle (I'm so glad I saw your post - I didn't realise it was available yet) So it's live but I'm not sure why you can't see it. Do you have the option for 'roadmaps [beta]' when you navigate to board…

Hi @Adi Cohen Welcome and nice to meet you!
-
Hi @Mirjana You're very welcome. It's probably worth adding time remaining in there as well - you might have tasks estimated that end up taking longer than expected and when you log work you can choose to set the time remaining to indicate where a task is taking longer than expected. Good luck with your report. Please mark…

@Prateek Gupto I'm due to take it in September so I'll let you know

Hi Alex, This does sound like something Jira automation rules could handle for you. Can you give us some more information about your service desk updates please? Do you mean changes to your existing Jira Service Desk project configurations? If you're on cloud this would not be software updates. Why would issues fail to…
-
Thanks @gmek11 I'll take a look
-
Hi Dan, Do you know if it was a 'next-gen' or 'classic' project they set up for you? If it's classic you may be using a shared workflow so changing status names would impact other projects. Something to be wary of
-
Hi Alfin, Excellent - glad you like it! With regards to the other question, Jira doesn't provide this kind of reporting and I can only give you my take on this. I think it's partly to do with the fact that there are many ways to report of all of the data that Jira can be configured to contain and manage. Jira is highly…
-
Hi @Mirjana Bloompeak Support is right - a project is made up of issues, and each issue is assigned to 1 person. If you just want to see the issues, who they're assigned to and what the remaining time estimate is vs. the original estimate - you could go to 'issues' > 'advanced search' and see a list of issues. You can save…
-
Hi Iram, You could use the Excel or Google Sheet plugins to create a report in a spreadsheet that would give you this information. If you want to set up a Google Sheets or Excel report go to 'Issues' in your project and select 'Advanced Search' (top right of screen). From here you can filter down the issues to include…

Here's a link to the report if you want to take a look: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dAXE8u-uomoP_ZRVL4RkxCXib-PdqaJv77pfbTqNDz8/edit?usp=sharing
-
Hi Alfin, I think you're looking for something like this: I'm afraid there's nothing to display information like this with the default Jira UI - so I've built a report that can be scheduled to refresh in Google Sheets (same functionality is available for Excel I believe in case you're into Microsoft). I find the ability to…

What happens if you type /jira manage and press enter?

I don't work for a vendor and haven't used it on a live project yet, but I'm very interested in Delibr. We started a trial and I intend on rolling it out to the business now that we're back at the coalface. It allows you to document requirements and decisions in a collapsible hierarchy. You can share and comment like a…

I would love to join - are ACE events happening online these days?
-
Hi @Anton Masoka You can do this with Zapier: https://zapier.com/apps/google-calendar/integrations/jira/2489/add-new-jira-issues-to-google-calendar-as-detailed-events Jira automation doesn't have an issue action for this yet.
