Hi @M___ and welcome to the community! Based on my understanding you'd like to group sub-tasks with their respective tasks and stories on a Kanban board, however, you have configured the swimlanes based on Epics. You can achieve that by configuring the board to display sub-tasks in the Card Layout section. See example:…

@Sivakumar Kolli A quick note on your Hierarchy screen. Make sure you select an issue type to be associated with Level Name on the first column of the table. Cheers, Alex
-
Hi @Sivakumar Kolli Sorry for the late response, busy days lately. To add the Parent Link custom field to your issue screens (Initiative and Theme), you'll need to : * Find the screens associated with the Theme and Initiative issue types on your Jira project and take note of their names. You can field them by selecting the…

Hi David I had a similar situation recently, and it was only resolved when all users from the external directory were migrated to the cloud with JCMA. After that the external directory was removed from the server/data center instance, and a new backup was taken to migrate via site import. Cheers, Alex

Hi @Sivakumar Kolli I'm glad it works. You need to add the Parent Link field to the Theme, Initiative and Epic screens. Cheers, Alex

Hi @Sivakumar Kolli Make sure you change <your-jira-instance> to your Jira site URL

Hi @Frank Carr, and welcome to the community! I am assuming your site also does not have JSM because the approval feature in workflows can be enabled out-of-the-box on JSM (more info here https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/set-up-approvals) When I had a similar use case for a client that did…
-
Hi @Sivakumar Kolli You can define this hierarchy on Advanced Roadmaps https://your-jira-instance.atlassian.net/secure/PortfolioHierarchy.jspa and use the Parent Link custom field to create the relationship between them. The documentation with steps to define the hierarchy is available…

Hi @Shane Kremer I am trying to wrap my mind around your issue to give you some guidance to resolve it. As you mentioned that your project is team-managed (formerly next-gen), I am guessing your project has the Backlog feature enabled, which will give you this view: If not, the project administrator can enable this view…

Hi @kristin whitaker You can upload them to your confluence page by using the ... options in the top right corner of the page or just drag and drop: Cheers, Alex

Hi @sheila_snitker_org That sounds exciting! It should be fun to see the kids moving cards on a Kanban board while parts of the robot are getting ready. I plan to build a Kanban board in the fridge or wall to teach my kids the concept of planning and getting their chores done at home. When they grasp the concept, I will…

Hi @Alexander Pappert When you mention "server / datacenter is cheaper because we host it" are you considering indirect and shared costs such as energy, backups and bandwidth consumption? Not to mention that your IT team could also be part of the equation as resources to maintain the infrastructure. One of the reasons…

Hi @Tom Gross I believe the JIRAUSERxxxxx is the user_key column at the app_user table. Give a try on this query (tested on PostgreSQL): select app_user.user_key, cwd_user.lower_user_name from app_user , cwd_user where app_user.lower_user_name = cwd_user.lower_user_name I did test it myself for a few user…

Hi @Prabhu Prabhakar It is a bit abstract to give you the instructions without the details of your project configuration. Therefore, you can follow the steps defined at Configuring a screen's tabs and fields from Atlassian Documenation to update the issue view screen of a particular issue type on a project. I hope it…
-
Hi @Samanta Oliveira Peixoto You can take a look at https://docs.atlassian.com/portfolio-for-jira-server/REST/2.13.0/teams/#tag-teams I did not test it myself, but I guess that you can create a set shareable = true the team created will be shared. I hope it helps. If this answer helps solve the problem, please come back…

Oh yes, absolutely! You can update the Sprint field from the Issue view. Or in bulk, using the Search for issues. Cheers, Alex

Atlympic athletes! Don't put a limit on anything.... you got this🏅 !

I'm glad you've solved the issue. Thanks for sharing your solution this the community. Cheers, Alex
-
Hi @Sahoo Manas (SEIT) Yeah, you can set an automation to define the id of the team when an issue is created. Check out this example: * You will define the Teams field in the Additional fields: { "fields": { "Team":"1" } } * You might need to find the Team ID from Advanced Roadmaps I did that using the rest API via browser…

Just one more day for the opening ceremony, I can't wait!

Wow, I just found this gem! Thanks, @Bridget what a great compilation to share with my fellow Jira learners. Cheers, Alex

Hey @Omar hector I am assuming you've received the testing message you sent. If so, your email server is delivering messages as expected. I had situations before the email server exceeded the quota, and messages were on hold with the email provider. You might want to check something there if you did not receive the test…
-
Hi @Omar hector You might need to provide some additional insights about your mail server configuration and notification schemes. Is it happening to all users or a specific project? But right from the start, if you suspect it is a mail server issue, try sending a test e-mail at…

Hi @Sara I am not completely sure if you've deleted an active or completed sprint; thus, I will give you what is expected to happen in both scenarios: Deleting a planned or active sprint * When you delete a planned or active sprint, all of the sprint's issues will move to the next sprint in the list. * If there isn't…

Hi @Janakiraman S I recently imported a project around the same number of issues using Jira's native Project Import feature. A few steps to get there: * Generate an XML backup from the source instance * Copy the attachments folder of the project * Move the XML backup and to JIRA_HOME/import in the target instance * Move…

Hey @Matt Trujillo We solved a similar case recently creating an automation rule: * When: * Issue commented * User Condition: * If Initiator is a customer (assuming you have JSM; if not, you might use the reporter) * Then:* Send e-mail to some e-mail addresses or users/group If your company uses Slack, the notification…

Hi @Daniels This is a great use case to leverage Jira Cloud REST API inside your Automation. I ran a quick lab and managed to get the remote link from a Jira issue and create a remote link to the issue cloned from the original one. Therefore, you can reuse this solution to your scenario: A few tricks: Get Remote Link *…
