Hi @Ivanator, This is something I'm thinking about. Would be great to chat more and understand more about your needs: https://calendly.com/owallis Thanks Owen
-
Hi Greg, We just rolled out a fix for this. If you can refresh your Jira tickets copy and paste should be working now.
-
Hi all, thanks for alerting me to this issue. I've been working with the Jira team and the problem should now be fixed. If you refresh any pages you are working on Copy and pasting should work as before.
-
Hi Gemma, I've noticed a few other people having this issue over here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Copy-and-Paste-image-stopped-working-while-creating-Jira-tickets/qaq-p/1606095?utm_source=atlcomm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=immediate_general_reply&utm_content=topic I'm talking to the Jira…

Also do you know if you are using Jira Classic or NextGen?
-
Couple more questions for you both if I may, In Jira are you creating an issue then pasting? Or are you pasting into the comments or description of an existing issue? Also do you know if you are using Jira Classic or NextGen?
-
Hi, it won't be related to the above changes on the media picker (but good thinking!), those have yet to rollout to Jira. I note a similar issue…
-
Ok thanks both, let me check in with my teams here and see if they need any further details.
-
@Tarun Rekhadi is this when using Snag It too? Also same question for you; Is the screenshot appearing in the description, and just not the attachment section? (Think you may have answered this above). Or is the screenshot showing something like 'failed to load'?

Hi there, could you give some more details on where you are copying and pasting from (i.e. another Atlassian product, another ticket, outside of Atlassian). And where you are pasting into (i.e. create issue view in Jira classic, issue view in NextGen, comments etc).

Hi Mike, When you go to attachments and click edit I believe then you'd be opening the old Media viewer. This old Media viewer has the upload button you are looking for. I'm not sure why the old Media viewer would be causing images to break through. The new Media viewer does not have the 'replace' functionality as yet. We…

Hi @JG MEILLAUD Thanks for the comment. Yes this is something we are thinking about. Essentially it would be the ability to insert files which are already in your Confluence or Jira space. So in Confluence it might be inserting from a central repository of marketing logos. In Jira it could be inserting files already on the…

Apologies, the calendar is working now: https://calendly.com/owallis/
-
Hi, we believe this affects MS Teams videos. We're currently working on a fix for this.
-
Hi Yasmeen, it may be that your site admin has limited the size of attachments. So I would look into that first, let me know how you get on.
-
Sure @Yasmeen Maher feel free to find a time with me: https://calendly.com/owallis/ p.s. @Jason Scrimshaw apologies for the time it took me to respond to your question - size limits are imposed by your site admin
-
Hi @Christian Sprenger, The Jira team are looking into a solution where the token is refreshed on copying and pasting. For now the workaround would either be to download the images you need off the original ticket and then insert them via file upload. Or refresh the source ticket before copying and pasting images over. All…

Hi Laura, The ability to resize images by pixels is not on the new editor just yet. You can watch the related ticket here for updates: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-67554 It has a lot of votes and the team here is aware of the need of this feature. Hope you can continue to work with dragging to resize in the…
-
Hi @Jiebyoung Park, It may be that you copied and pasted images from a personal Google Drive or other personal space - meaning you could see them but other users who don't have access to that space can't see them. Could this be it?
-
Hi @Greg Williams, Firstly, strange that you can't change this setting. Are there any other admins on your account? On the 'failed to load' issue my team thought we'd solved the majority since the original post here on Community. Do you know what actions your user was carrying out before seeing the issue? I have a hunch…
-
Hi @Laura McWilliams, Thanks for your question. The key thing you want to be looking at in the image is pixel size (rather than dpi). The width of a normal page in Confluence is 760px. So if you upload an image say of 640px it will appear floating in the middle of the page. If you then stretch that image to be the same…

Hi @Alec Keeler, Just to double check the order of events: * You perform a Server to Cloud migration * After the migration one of your team copies and pastes an image from one page to another * The resulting copied image fails to load - with the source looking like its pointing to the previous Server location?
-
Hi Dave, On your point above "Is there a way to use a separate storage location for attachments on tickets like another bucket for attachments. This would be because of PHI & PII coming across in the migration that we can't have happen" Could you give me more information on this? As Daniel points out above the attachments…

Ok thanks, so you are wanting someway to easily replace files? And the Companion app is your current workaround for that?
-
Hi Khoram, We're not planning on bringing the Companion app to the new Editor. From what we've seen the Companion does not help with collaboration, and rather it hinders it. I'm keen to learn what collaboration use cases Companion does help you with though? Thanks in advance Owen
-
Hi, could you let me know more about the file types? Are they large in size? What does it look like when the files are missing, are they completely gone or showing as broken images? Any extra information you can give me would be great. p.s. I am away next week so apologies in advance for any subsequent slow response
-
Hi, might be the filenames are the same. You could try uploading files with a new name and that should result in the new images being displayed.
-
Hi Eoin, No its still needing a fix. You can watch/vote for the ticket here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-69899 Thanks Owen

Hi @Aleksandr Krymskiy Thanks for the comment. Yes I did ask the same question to the team. The issue is any malformed script tags (which we would assume a hacker would try and use) would result in us failing to parse, i.e. < script name =">" > </script> If we just parsed for the word 'script' then genuine SVGs that had…
