How large are the video files? Could be they are still processing on our backend
-
3 minutes seems excessive. You may be being rate limited if you are testing heavily This behaviour is due to Atlassian media systems processing files to generate thumbnails/alternative bit rates There isn't a way to speed this up - we do generate a thumbnail first (although for a video that is the first frame - so may just…

Hi Gregory, You can either upload, drag and drop (or even copy and paste from another page) video to Confluence. This will make the video appear embedded on the page. As you note there isn't yet a way on Cloud to reference a file already uploaded, we're looking at the need for that feature.
-
Hi @Robert Tully no there shouldn't be a limit (I think 5TB is a limit set by some service providers, so hopefully you're not uploading videos at that size!) Happy to connect and chat in the new year if timezones suit https://calendly.com/owallis
-
Hi @Yonatan Cohen nothing set in stone just yet. Happy to chat more about your needs if timezones suit https://calendly.com/owallis
-
Hi, there shouldn't be a limit (unless you admin has set one). A technical reason to what might be happening: When you upload you're issued an auth token which tells Confluence you're allowed to upload. If you've left the page open for a long time might be your auth token has expired. So refreshing the page and retrying…

Hi, You're able to change from the strip view to a table view. The table view allows you to see many more attachments.
-
Hi Tim, This is stored with an 'alt text' tag and thus should be read out with a screen reader. Are you on Chrome or Firefox? These browsers don't display alt text on rollover
-
Hi, Word is a fixed page size - whereas we render pdfs from excel files based on the number of columns. I'm assuming your excel file may have a large number of columns?
-
Hi, when you do an 'official' migration to Cloud our systems will update permissions. I'm assuming your site is something like companyone.atlassian and your test lab is companyonetest.atlassian. If so then images on companyonetest don't know you have permission to view them. Hope this makes sense/helps!
-
Hi @madhukumar.baladari no sorry not yet, thanks for your interest though.
-
@Gerry Burtenshaw sorry for the delay. If you remember were all the images using the same filename?
-
Hi @Fred Bunting sorry for the delay. I commented on the ticket you mentioned above https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-65344?focusedCommentId=3179512&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-3179512 I agree comms were confusing. Apologies. Fred / @Haddon Fisher happy to chat…
-
Sorry for the delay. My understanding is the Confluence team are looking to change this. Not sure on timings
-
Hi @Jiebyoung Park sorry for the delay. I can understand the frustration. The issue was fixed a few weeks ago. It only works for newly uploaded files though. Are you having trouble with older files?
-
Thanks, looks like you are using the legacy editor which is where these issues may be stemming from. I'll drop you an email to check.
-
@Jay Walker if timezones work would be great to chat and figure out the issue together https://calendly.com/owallis
-
@Jay Walker strange, just to check there aren't any admin setting limiting the amount of attachments that can be added to a ticket? Where are you creating the ticket from? The backlog, when you are on an issue view etc?
-
@Norbert Fragner ok thanks, one thing your user could check is how long they are leaving the ticket open before adding files. There can be issues if tickets are left open for a long time (i.e. many many hours!)
-
Hi @Norbert Fragner I'm trying to recreate the issue following the steps above. Works fine for me though. Happy to chat to figure out what is not working for you, https://calendly.com/owallis Or if timezones don't work could you write down your steps to recreate the issue?
-
Hi @paul van hummelen I've not seen any other reports of this issue. May be something unique on your instance, perhaps something with the admin settings. If you're able to talk on the Sydney timezone feel free to find a time with me next week and we can try and figure it out together: https://calendly.com/owallis Failing…
-
Hi @Jiebyoung Park thanks for this. Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately it transpires that this is related to another area we're working on. So its going to be later in Feb/early March when a fix will be going live. Apologies.
-
Thanks @jorgen.bjerke, by design elements do you mean things like Logos etc?
-
Hi @Josef Zeigler sorry for the slow response. I'll talk to our team here to get something official added to the documentation. But for a quick response yes copy and paste is supported - most of the time. I don't believe copy and paste works across different instances (i.e. if you tried to copy and paste from…
-
A fix was applied for webm files. I'll check with the team to see if there are any issues with mp4.
-
Hi, sorry this is now closed.
-
Thanks @Joel Stauffer I've passed this onto my dev team. @Peter Linnet sorry to hear you are having intermittent issues. I'd suggest raising a support ticket, then our dev teams can have a look at your site and see if they can find anything amiss.
-
@Peter Linnet just to check - are you trying to paste mixed content (images and text) into Jira comments or Confluence comments? Or is it just pasting images into comments you are having issues with? @Joel Stauffer you're trying to copy and paste mixed content just into Confluence right? I assume into the editor rather…
-
Was this a one off problem, or still happening consistently?
-
@Jiebyoung Park thanks for this. I confirmed with my team, it is a bug on our side. We're due to have a fix rollout in late December. So hopefully should be working as normal in the New Year. The fix will only apply to newly uploaded files though.
