Hi @Wade Hephner , All JSM subscriptions now get Opsgenie included in their plan - which realistically means all JSM users could have access to Opsgenie - but within your Atlassian site, you can control which users do/not have access to Opsgenie.
-
Hi @Tuarn McInerney , I don't believe you would need to move the project, or do anything to it in general. You'd simply need to configure a JSM integration in Opsgenie, and follow the steps in our documentation to get JSM issues creating Opsgenie…

Hi @Manikranth V Bheemineni , Typically when the alert's activity log shows "Sent [createIssue] action to JiraServiceDesk" it does not create the ticket in Jira" - but no issue is being created in JSM, you have the OEC checkbox selected: If that's the case, please unselect this, save the integration, and retest. OEC is…

Actually - my initial response is not correct. The request ID returned in the GET alert response is the request of that specific API call. Without capturing the create alert request ID when the request is completed, I don't believe there is a way to GET it with any of our API calls - besides checking the alert's activity…
-
Hi @Bohdan Kukliuk , Are you able to run a general List Alerts API call, then use this to GET that specific alert's ID? If you do that, the request ID will also be returned in the GET on the specific alert. https://docs.opsgenie.com/docs/alert-api#list-alerts https://docs.opsgenie.com/docs/alert-api#get-alert

Hi @Donny Gison , I don't think I fully understand the ask about escalations, alert closure, and notifications. Alerts being closed are not dependent of escalations - regardless of whether the alert is being closed manually, through an integration, etc.
-
What @Tom Russell mentioned, that would also be my suggestion. Here's some documentation on string processing, and regex, which customers also leverage to extract data into alert / fields.
-
Also, if you know what the extra property key(s) will be - for example: You can add those into the incident rule as well with something like this: And they'll be added into the incident as well:
-
Hi @Aline Siqueira Silva , This should be possible whether the incidents are being created automatically or manually. If you are automating incident creation through incident rules, you should be able to add extra properties to the incident rule here: If you are manually creating incidents, you'd first want to create an…
-
Hi @Wendy M , Can you try searching for the space? At this time, no spaces auto-populate when clicking that drop down - but should appear when searching for them. Engineering is aware of this issue too, and working on a fix. Let me know whether or not that helps.
-
Hi Donny, Close alerts notifications will be sent to the users who were either recipients of the alert / notified, or if a user were to view the alert during its lifecycle. The default API cannot be assigned to a team like you mentioned, but a responser (such as team) can be added into the responder field of the…
-
Hi @Armand Lubbe , You'd want to open a support ticket through Opsgenie support to get Japanese voice notifications enabled for your trial. You can do that here: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

There's now an open feature request for this that can be followed here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/OPSGENIE-325
-
Hi @joana , I'm unsure if this is on any roadmap, but I've entered a feature request for this that can be followed here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/OPSGENIE-338 There is a workaround listed at the bottom as well if you still want to use the new Jira / JSM framework, but the workaround would work for both the older…
-
Hi @Xana , I think it might be as simple an incorrect header? Looks like yours is "ContentType" While I believe it should be "Content-Type" https://docs.opsgenie.com/docs/alert-api#acknowledge-alert
-
Hi @Theis Joergensen , Notification policies should be able to help with the addition to this use case. You can delay / suppress notifications for after hours alerts that are P3-5. Note that notification policies are only included in the Standard and Enterprise plans though. It might look something like this:
-
Hi @joana , "To help on routing the issues to the teams I'm using a custom field on JIRA. How can I use that field in the alert filter rules?" This unfortunately is not possible through the Jira integration - since like you mentioned - the integration can only filter on the standard Jira issue fields. Are you by chance…
-
Hi @Rob , Unfortunately there isn't a way for Opsgenie to keep an alert open until a certain amount of users ack an alert - such as all users who were notified ack the alert. Once an alert is ack'd, it'll remain in that state (unless notifications are restarted through the repeat of an escalation policy, or through a…
-
Hi @Regina Weishuhn , Depending on your plan, you should be able to run a report in the Analytics tab. You can select the team here: Then within Alert Analytics report, select over the last 3 months within the filter: Once this has been run, you can download the total number of alerts: Otherwise, in the Alerts dash, run a…
-
Yes, that's correct. Here's an example of an alert being deduplicated wit ha higher priority:
-
Hi @[deleted] , When an alert is deduplicated by another alert of higher priority, the deduplicated alert’s priority is increased and its notification flow is restarted. But deduplication cannot downgrade an alert's priority - only increase it.
-
Hi @[deleted] , Sometimes we'll the issue of Datadog alerts being deduplicated through multiple Datadog integrations. Is this the case with you? Or is this only for one integration? If the deduplication is due to multiple integrations, an easy fix is adding some hardcoded data into the alias field of all the integration…
-
Hi @[deleted] , If the setup looked something like this: ^ where the first rule of the escalation notifies the on-call user(s) immediately, then routes to another team 10 minutes later - Opsgenie would still wait 10 minutes to escalate the alert even though there is not an on-call user in the team's schedule.
-
Hi @bogdanmartin , Is all of this managed under one team? If yes, it seems like you could create a third Slack integration under this team that sends Project1 and Project2 alerts to the #general-oncall-alarms channel. Otherwise, you could create a global Slack integration - which means it's assigned to No Team - and…
-
Hi @Thomas , Would this part of the Opsgenie JSM integration doc help? If you configure a webhook, you can edit the JQL and what triggers the webhook / integration. For example: ^ Only P1 Blocker issues created under the ABC project would trigger this webhook.
-
Hi @Matthew Day , Under the integrations Advanced tab, you can filter on the data being sent from Icinga2 >> Opsgenie, and map certain alerts to certain teams. Note this tab is only available on certain plans such as the standalone Opsgenie Standard and Enterprise plans, as well the JSM Premium and Enterprise plans: ^ This…
-
Hi @Japhet Morada , There shouldn't be a limit if you are on a JSM-OG plan. You should be able to add however many JSM users you have under your subscription into your Opsgenie as well.
-
Hi @Jason Selby , You can configure what data parses in the alert's message under the integration's Advanced tab > create alert actions' Message field. Note that this tab is only available on the Opsgenie standalone Standard and Enterprise plans, or the JSM Premium and Enterprise plans:
-
Hi @Pablo Barbero , Typically that error response is due to the configured username / email being misspelled, incorrect, or a permission issue in general that this user cannot create issues on the project configured in the integration. Can you try with another user, site admin, etc. for testing?
-
Hi @Laleli Ali , Under the JSM integration's Advanced tab, you can configure what statuses map to ack'ing the alert, closing the alert, etc. Note this tab is only available on standalone Opsgenie Standard and Enterprise plans, as well JSM Premium and Enterprise plans:
